Service super friendly & i like the cajun music playing. First time to try their ribs...wow...they are huge and so tasty. Moist & a nice smokiness to them. We decided to give them a try after seeing their ad in the Impact magazine. We miss Tad's, but this is a good replacement. My wife is from New Orleans so I also consider her opinions when it comes to Cajun food, although my tastes differ from hers. She got the 3/3 fish & shrimp and I tried the grilled seafood platter. We split a salad and I also got boudin balls. We finished it off with a piece of bread pudding. Portions were good size and we ended up taking part of it home! We both liked the food, but she says that the bread pudding isn't to her liking. I didn't think it was bad, but it isn't as buttery & smooth as others that I've had. It was a little grainy in comparison, but I don't have a problem with it. They gave us a generous portion! It isn't baked by Cajun Street. The Cobb salad was huge! It was probably the reason I couldn't finish some of the other stuff. The flavor of the boudin balls was good. The fish & shrimp were seasoned well & the dirty rice was good. Of course I tend to mix it all up & douse it with cayenne pepper sauce. lol The remoulade sauce was spicier & tangier than the stuff you can buy in bottles. I like it, but my wife isn't into hot, spicy food. The place seemed clean & it wasn't busy because we went during the after lunch, pre dinner hours. Service was good & the people were nice. There's Cajun music playing in the background & colorful, LA themed decor. We will definitely be going back! read more

I ordered through Uber eats so I don't know nothing about the ambiance. When I called to find out about some menu items the lady who answered very helpful, she didn't rush to answer and provided good examples and shared her personal feedback which obviously helped. I ordered fish with dirty rice, and the creole candy wings with fries. The packaging was good enough to where my food was hot on arrival. The fish was light and buttery. I'm biased to straight corn meal breading but this fish was good enough that I would order it again. I wouldn't order the dirty rice, I'm not a fan or the target audience... I'm also biased to non breaded wings, but after speaking with the young lady who answered the phone I ordered them anyway. Glad I did.. they were heavily sauced (which I prefer) and still crunchy but yet tender on the inside.. I want to try other flavors to see if they are consistent. Definitely will be trying other items from here. read more

The food we had here was great. I had the boudin balls with a sort-of southwest ranch dipping sauce and the shrimp Étouffée. Nice big Gulf shrimp grilled perfectly and just the right amount of rice. GF had the shrimp and grits, also very good. I'm not a fan of grits, but in this case, I was impressed with the amount of flavor in these grits. I would be tempted to order them on the next trip out here but have to try the BBQ ribs and a cup of gumbo. The garlic bread that came with the shrimp and grits was good and fresh. French fries come with a light dusting of Cajun seasoning on them that was way better than the expected plain salted fries you get everywhere else. The place looks small from the outside but is much bigger once you get inside. Very clean and the staff is friendly. It would be 5*s but they don't offer alcohol of any kind. It was lunch time and was wanting a beer, but no such luck. We will definitely be back and who knows, they may get a liquor license in the future. All we had to eat and a soda each (free fountain refills) we got out of there for $40. Cheap enough for the quality & quantity of the food. read more

Ordered take out. Had the grilled fish with shrimp and dirty rice. It was very good.. The fish had good seasoning and was cooked perfectly! The shrimp were the size listed on the menu, and the dirty rice (or "rice dressing" as we from Baton Rouge call it) was very good too! Cajun Street may be our new place to get rice dressing for Thanksgiving now.. Yes we will be going back for more food too. Oh and the Boudain balls were very tasty as well.. Thanks! I saw on UE that there was a bogo offer on the fried catfish. For that reason alone I am giving 2 stars. My honest opinion of the catfish, they forgot the Cajun part. There was only parsley sprinkled on top of the breading. That is DECORATION!! The portions were wry disappointing. I had 2 orders and the 4 pieces that I had may have been the equivalent of 1 thinly sliced filet. The red beans and rice were literally black. The hush puppies were cooked way too hard. The food is great. I ordered through Uber eats and got the brisket one meat plate with Mac n cheese and green beans. I also ordered the 2pc fried fish with fries. The brisket was incredible! I asked for moist and that's actually what I got. The portion sides are huge. I got 3 thick slices of brisket in one plate! I have leftovers for 2 days. It was very flavorful and tender. I am not sure if they have bbq sauce because it did not come in my order but I would add some for sure! And the Mac n cheese was a good flavor but strange texture due to them using penne noodles. The fried was seasoned well and they have really good portions especially the fries. The entire container was full of fries and they were delicious. read more

Great fried fish and shrimp! Staff is nice... and I love that they have a drive through.

I've tried this restaurant 3 times now. On one visit the fried catfish was very tasty. Large, thick pieces cooked to perfection with a cornmeal crust. Second time I had the red beans and rice with cajun sausage. Pretty good beans (I'm a little biased). Came with 5 hush puppies that are pretty darn tasty. Today I went for lunch. Shrimp poboy with fries. The bun is nice and soft but I feel is too large for the 6 measly shrimp on the sandwich. The fries are nothing to write home about. Overall I like the place and will return to try more. read more

The food was absolutely amazing, we had fried fish and shrimp and the grilled fish and shrimp, and everything was perfectly seasoned and needed no additional sauce. The dirty rice was also great, and the hush puppies were the best I ever had! The hush puppies were so good that we even ordered some to go. The only downside was the mac n cheese, it was not good at all and definitely needed some flavor, but I know they're newly opened so I'm hoping they update they're recipe for that. But other that the place and atmosphere was great, and the staff was all very friendly and just amazing. I highly recommend a visit here! read more

Shrimp po boys were great. The kid's 2 chicken strips were huge, so I ate one and the chicken is really good too. I picked this restaurant randomly from nearby places on yelp, and will go back when in the area again. We went at around 4pm on a Saturday and they were not busy. Staff was very nice and friendly. We went to Cajun Street for the first time today. The food was just fabulous. I had Grilled Shrimp and Grits. It was delicious and a nice size portion. We also had a rack of ribs which was really well prepared. The meat was tender and fall-off-the-bone cooked perfectly. So much on the menu looked so good I had a hard time choosing.
