This place is a must try! It is just a walk up but that's ok because it's just nice to grab some ice cream and hang out by the car on a nice warm summer night. The ice cream is delicious, we haven't found something that we don't like. Their soft serve is so good. We normally get a float! read more

We went pretty late at night but there wasn't a line and i got to try the salted monster. It was amazing so I got it on a cup! The service was so nice and the girl was very pleasant. I love going there in the summer! read more

Ugh, this place is so good! I've only been here a couple of times, but I wish I could get an ice cream treat every night from Cake & Cone because their ice cream is so delicious and they have so many different flavors to try. So far the Marble Crunch is my favorite! It's vanilla and chocolate hard ice cream with those delicious little chocolate crunchies throughout. So good. Add some rainbow sprinkles and I'm all set. I've tried their nutella chip ice cream too and had their cake batter shake. All delicious! Service is always super friendly and if you have trouble deciding they will offer you some samples or make some good suggestions. A small shake or a small cup are pretty decent sizes at a great price. You get lots of ice cream just with the small size! Cake & Cone is a great local ice cream joint with a nice sized parking lot and some benches / tables to sit outside and enjoy all your snacks. read more

A friend and i stopped here during a walk. Yes that's right ice cream mid walk.. Lol we both got the fried oreos, which were amazing. I had my fried oreos with cookie dough ice cream. My friend di mint chocolate chip ice cream. We were both very happy with the food. We were also very happy with the cute guy that helped ua decide our treats. good service, great food, and an outdoor sitting area. Yep I like this place! They also have a parking lof. read more

OK so how does a ice cream shop suck at ice cream ? And sell chicken too??? So I wanted some ice cream and happened to be in the area .... Yelped to see what was near and Cake and Cone popped up... I wish it had not!!!! What made me come here was the waffle and ice cream that I usually order down at the shore... Ice cream and waffles up to my knowledge still is absent up here in North Jersey so u could only imagine how excited I was when I saw waffles at an ice cream shop... So for $7 I got a waffle and one sad scoop of ice cream ... The waffle tasted like fried chicken... Really?? Why would they make the waffle in chicken grease?? I feel like I got tricked because my ice cream and waffle look nothing like the other 2 pictures in the reviews.. It was missing the sugar powder , nutella, whipped cream and love.... I understand maybe I had to ask for the add ons but the staff should asked me being that it was my first time visiting and it's customary to ask if u would like to add even sprinkles ... Needless to say I had a couple of bites and ate the ice chipped ice cream... Ughhh the disappointment!!!! Ice cream shops shouldn't sell chicken!!! Best Yelp find this summer and it comes with a 50% off Yelp deal too! I was craving a good ice cream cone and living only a few minutes away, a mom and pop place with nearly perfect reviews just happen to show up! Thankfully it delivered and in big ways.....starting with a FRIED OREO SUNDAE. ::drops mic::: Needless to say, yes we got fried oreos, maybe two orders (I shared, I swear). I also got the Salted Caramel Monster cone which was a delcious blend of ice cream, caramel, salt and oreo pieces. My sister had the triple chocolate which was amazing as well, but too much chocolate in one sitting for me personally. As a nutella lover myself, they had a blend of it in icecream that was amazing, pretty much just tasted like frozen, whipped nutella, it defintely belonged on a waffle. Needless to say I look forward to many more summer evenings spent at the Cake & Cone, while trying things like funnel cake fries, fried snicker bars and all their other delicious flavors. Wow, really fabulous homemade ice cream and two very sweet servers. What a find! My husband had the peanut butter chocolate hard serve. I'm not usually a fan of peanut butter but they knocked it out of the park. Definitely not skippy or the like used. It was sensational. He said the best he's ever had. I had salty something...can't remember. It was a salty caramel with bits of Oreos. Also had chocolate chip. Both were so delicious. Yum! read more

I give this place 5 stars for the following reasons: A) Speedy and friendly service on 4th of July B) Variety of ice cream flavors and other food items C) Old school vanilla custard D) FRIED OREO ZEPPOLES! E) Inexpensive compared to some of these ice cream shops I def recommend the vanilla custard with sprinkles in cup and a side order of the fried oreo zeppoles. My lady ordered the nutella ice cream on a waffle cone and I had a taste of it and it was delicious (very rich and silky nutella flavor). I will be coming back soon before summer is over. read more

Cake & Cone is a great little local ice cream shop. They have all the classic flavors but the best is the Marble Crunch. I also like their mint chocolate chip. The scoops are huge and prices are really low. A check-in also gets you a free Children's cone which is one scoop of ice cream. A regular scoop is really TWO scoops. I only spent about $2.50! They offer lots of other icy treats as well - Italian ice, ice cream sandwiches, flurries, milkshakes, sundaes and they even have fried Oreos and funnel cakes. Service is friendly and there are a couple tables in the back but we usually pickup and go. Great place to go after dinner on a summer night. read more

I liked it a lot. The cake batter flavor was delicious and the fried oreo ice cream was also great. However, my sister ordered the funnel cake and she didn't like it with reason; the funnel cake was too thin and fried too much. All in all, we had a good experience there. They have outdoor seating and private parking so that's always a plus. I wouldn't say amazing but it's pretty darn good. I wouldn't recommend the funnel cake and I'm not willing to buy it again BUT I'd go for some more ice cream. read more

First off, good job to the Cake and Cone for being the only ice cream place I know that makes fried oreos and turns them into fried oreo sundaes. And for being the ONLY place I know that makes fried nutter butters, which are even better than fried oreos. I stopped by for some ice cream on a gorgeous Saturday afternoon with a friend. It has a parking lot, along with some outdoor seating, which is very convenient. Line wasn't too bad, but service was a little slow. I think only one person was working. They have the staple flavors, but the moose tracks and marble crunch stuck out. I got the marble crunch, which is chocolate and vanilla ice cream with what they call crunchies. What are crunchies exactly? It's the chocolate crunchy layer that separates the chocolate and vanilla in an ice cream cake. Really, it's just oreo crumbs covered in chocolate magic shell. Still really good. And once again, this is the only place I know that has this as a topping. With the fried oreos, fried nutter butters, and crunchies, I definitely see myself coming back here. read more

I visited this stand over summer while living near Patterson and have been craving a trip back. Not only did the yelp deal get my friend and I more ice cream than we could possibly eat without hating ourselves, but they also let us pass the credit we didn't use from the deal to the guest behind us. (btw, yes, we did finish our waffle cone double scoops with sprinkles) The service was very fast and friendly and the ice cream was reasonably priced and very good. I wish I could go back and really recommend you stop by for a couple scoops if you're near by! read more

Me and my fiancee love this place. Creamy dreamy ice cream. To die for. During the winter they have other goodies like deep fried oreos, deep fried twinkies and funnel cakes !!! Plus they have yummy munchies foods like nachos and chicken nuggets :) best thing about cake and cone is they are open year round - so I can get my ice cream on no matter the weather. One simple thing will tell you everything you need to know about this place - their 'Salted Caramel Oreo' ice cream is masterfully made. Why? Because: a) Their use of salt doesn't make it taste salty, but instead it does what salt should do which is transform good flavors into totally new, INCREDIBLE flavors. b) Their ice cream is heavy on the cream but not on the ice so it's super smooth and creamy. c) The Oreos inside aren't a soggy mess. Instead they're cold but perfectly edible so you can taste them more and the "give" you get from chomping on a cold (but not too cold!) cookie makes it literally feel good to eat them. read more

Stand up to ice cream spot (no walk in interior) Really friendly service and tasty ice cream! We got the pistachio in a waffle cone and the mint chocolate chip which were both really good. Waffle cone also tasted very fresh. $3.75 for one scoop in a waffle cone. Friendly and polite service! The guy even offered us more napkins! The lines also look like they get really long in the summer. And they have cool flavors and toppings like black cherry and walnut. read more

Literally THE BEST ice cream shop in North Jersey! So many different flavors to choose from. The fried nutter butters are in competition with the cake batter ice cream right now & the churro bites are absolutely delicious. To top it all off, they have a savory selection of foods as well. The mozzarella sticks & the pretzel bites with cheese are my current favorites. I will always come back here, and I hope they open up in more locations! Came here for the first time after discovering this place on Yelp. I had never been there and the menu was overwhelming so much to order, the cashier actually offered us a sample of anything we wanted to try, which was awesome. They reccommended a soft serve nutella ice cream with chips and i was sold. It was soooooo good! I also ordered 3 fried Oreo's for the road because i cannot resist them. Overall a good spot and the prices are cheaper than what you pay at other ice cream spots, that's for sure. You can tell it is definitely homemade!! Delicious a must go! read more

A classic small town ice cream place. I remember going to it as a kid with my family. Now my husband and I take our little one here. It's great because they offer a kid size cup that gets the job done for letting her feed herself! And the prices are reasonable - we all get a good size treat and it costs around $10. I usually stick with the soft serve vanilla and sprinkles but last night I tried the pistachio which I'm happy to say was delicious! Will keep coming back and will keep recommending! read more

It's also street parking on a very busy street in Paterson. Don't lose your mind, just think about the desserts.

The most inefficient place I've ever been to. They have a bunch of 16 year old girls running around, literally taking one persons order at a time (a group of 4 is basically like 4 orders), and then they have to take turns using the cash register. There was a line of about 20 people and it legit took about 50 mins to get ice cream. The ice cream itself was mediocre. Ownership, if you are reading this, I will buy your business. This has been my go to ice cream shop for many years now. The soft serve is delicious! I have also tried some of the homemade hard ice cream, the Nutella chip is my personal favorite. I love that they are branching out and making delicious food now. The fresh cut French fries are so fresh and taste great. The fried Oreos are an awesome touch.
