What better way to start at an Italian bakery than an Italian grinder. To start they bake their own bread and coat the inside with a house special basil sauce. Layers of salami, prosciutto and ham were tucked alongside the lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, banana hots and provolone cheese. Sandwich was good, but I wish the bread was more crispy. While sitting down, a gentleman came over and asked how our lunch was. I was honest with him for feedback knowing it was there second day. He offered to make it over. I declined. He then offered to give us treats (cookies/brownies), I then again declined and this time he insisted. He left our table and gave us some goodies to go. Unfortunately, I had a really bad experience this morning after having a wonderful one (and numerous ones) since my last review. I got there a few minutes after opening, only one guest in front of me. I ordered two almond milk lattes and a bacon cheddar quiche breakfast sandwich (which I always eye on the menu, have been dying to try). The lattes came in a mere 3 min, yay, as I desperately needed the caffeine! The sandwich however, regretably, was absolutely not what I expected. A breakfast sandwich name with the word quiche, you expect the bacon and cheddar baked in the egg; because that is what a quiche is. Instead what I waited 15 minutes for was two eggs slapped together with a single piece of bacon and a tiny piece of cheddar wrapped up on a barely toasted bagle. Sadly this was the biggest disappointment to an already very very rough morning. Absolutely not worth the $5.15 I paid let alone half the price. I love his place but this was unacceptable and not the normal amazing quality. read more

I think before anyone judges another for ALLEGED COMMENTS they should have all the facts. Just because someone has a picture does not mean it's theirs. I wonder if that entered the young mans mind prior to him messing with this young ladies reputation as well as trashing her wonderful work. I know for a fact that this young lady is not racist her mother is biracial. This picture does not prove anything and does not PROVE it is this young lady. Sipping a great cup of coffee here even as I write this. Cool and congenial, you'll find a classic New England refurbished mill atmosphere if you come here. A true hidden gem of coffee, pastries, sandwiches and other delectables, it's a tasty oasis if ever there was one -- tucked away on a side street in the Felters Mill, Millbury, but with plenty of parking and worth finding. They make everything right here, with real ingredients, and they do custom cakes and catering to boot. One warning, "beware" their awesome criossants. O-M-G.
