    The delightful Timothy Jay!!
    Melissa V.

My friend and I recently stopped at this shop on a whim. What a great gem!! We were trying to decide which of the beautiful treats we wanted to try so we asked the owner Timothy Jay about the fillings and he was more than happy to give us a detailed description of each one!!! Timothy Jay is delightful, we ended up talking about all sorts of things with him and he had us laughing. I picked a white chocolate raspberry cupcake for my mom and husband and a triple chocolate for myself. My cupcake was chocolate cake with chocolate ganache and real chocolate sprinkles (not the candy sprinkles you usually get...these will actually melt if you were to hold them in your hands)on top. It was amazing... I'm usually not a big frosting lover, but that ganache was perfect. I also had one of his peanut butter cookies that he makes using his moms recipe and that was also delicious. We will definitely be returning to try some of his seasonal flavors (he has St Patrick's cupcakes now). Thank you Timothy!!!

Smores, chocolate strawberry, triple chocolate, cheesecake with buttercream frosting, Oreo, peanut butter heaven

That's don't impress me much!…read more That's the feeling I have. Queens Cup has been on my list for about 3 years. I admit, I am weak for frosting so I figured this had to be a win for me. Good location, tough parking if you can't get in their small lot and good luck scoring a table (i think there were only 2!) But that's not the reason for disappointment. It's the product. Magic cookie bars are one of my favorite sweet treats so I had to buy one (at a high cost of $7!) It's heavy and dense but the flavor... the crust was inconsistent. Too thick and too think at points. The taste... it tastes like an M&M (with a slight hint of coconut.) I could have saved myself a lot of money just buying a bag of M&M's. But I don't like M&M's! See the problem? (And there were small M&M's on the top which is ok but it was overpowering.) I also had to try something cupcake related right? My daughter got a huge slice of funfetti cake. I had one layer of the cake. I can share the frosting was thick and dense. I like it sweet and melts in my mouth. Thus was not that. The cake itself was dense too. I was my cake fluffy. Overall I was let down and Queens Cup is off the return list.

We decided to try four cupcakes and three brownies - one of which was gluten free! The cupcakes we got were spectacular with wonderful amounts of flavor that wasn't just sugar sweet. I think of all the cupcake places in Worcester, these are the least likely to cause you to go into a sugar induced coma. Ours were a little on the drier side and was crumbly, but not enough to dock a star. The brownies were great, probably more frosting than brownie, but they were rich and the gluten free one you couldn't even tell it was gluten free. I would like less frosting on the brownies, as that sort of overwhelmed the actual brownie part, but this is also minor. Everything was $4 each I believe, which is consistent with other bakeries in the area, so nothing to remark on there. They do also have savory items for breakfast and lunch too if you're interested in an actual meal. They do also have a nice little cafe seating area that's slightly separate from the Woo Public Market, but there's also plenty of seating a couple feet away at the market too. Overall Rating: 4.5/5 Definitely would come again.

We talked a lot through out the time she was making the "cake" to ensure that we were on the same page. When it came to the day for me to pick-up the cake, she was on time, courteous and very excited to see my reaction to the final design. We talked for 10 minutes after exchanging the money and cake, because we got along so well! She also asked me to follow-up with her, as she wanted to see my daughter's reaction to seeing the "cake". Very sorry to hear that people did not have the same experience that I've had with her, as she really is a nice woman and does an excellent job.

She offered to throw in a smash cake for free, and even offered to deliver it before the 1 pm party. I was so excited. At noon, I received an email from Tiana saying the cake had been damaged. She was working on fixing it. Her next email came at 1:30, saying the damage was worse than she thought, but she was still working on repairing it. That was the last time that I have heard from her. I tried to call her, no answer, and her voicemail was full. So now, throughout the party with 30 guests at my home, I was checking email, calling her, and finally, had to send my husband out to the store for a cake in the middle of his son's first birthday party. As of now, I still haven't heard from her. No explanation, no reason why she never delivered the cake or let me know what was happening. And, although I'm very disappointed about the cake, it is just a cake, and my son will never remember. I am most upset about the lack of communication by her after the fact. She is a businesswoman and a mother, I just can't comprehend how she can do this to someone. Look elsewhere for a more professional cake designer and baker.

It's got just the right mix of bounce, density, and butteriness, without being too greasy. Big, fresh blueberries (not the shriveled kind). Plenty of crumbly streusel on top for extra taste and texture. Their mixed berry has multiple fruit presence and more of it, minus the streusel. Also very good. Sometimes the muffins are warm. Sometimes a little long in the tooth. -- Cakes: That's their claim to fame, and for good reason. They're more expensive than most, but so dense, rich, and heavy that a small slice goes a long way. My favorite is the chocolate raspberry decadence (pool of raspberry atop a deep, dark chocolate frosting). Or maybe the strawberry snowflake, which is like the best strawberry shortcake you ever had. -- Cupcakes: These often feature some of the same ingredients as the cakes, such as that killer chocolate ganache. Great for the toppings and fillings, though the cake part (especially if chocolate base) is often dry. -- Cookies: Noticeably less impressive, EXCEPT for the Linzer heart. Great flavor and texture in the raspberry and shortbread. -- Coffee: Good stuff. Not elite, but good, in heavy mugs with good feel. Service is a little lacking. Not so much because of rudeness, but because they're perpetually understaffed for the amount of business they do.

The frosting on the cake was so bitter that no one ate it at all! In addition, when I came to pick it up, they were just finishing the cake up and did not let it rest! When we started cutting it at the bday party, the cake was basically falling apart. I never had such a bad experience anywhere. I paid over $130 for the cake to end up throwing all frosting away. I called the same day and asked why frosting was so bitter, like metal taste, and at first, they hang up on me, and when I called back they said its because the color of frosting was red color! What a non sense excuse! They just added so much dye that it was impossible to eat!! It stained everything and I could still taste bitterness 2 hours after eating it. Also, sensative individuals could have gotten sick from it! You would think their bakers would try it first when they prepare mixture. I will definitely not going back again ever. Please be careful! In addition, they didn't put my decorations I brought for the cake a week before. Bunch of new people and bakers probably with no experience, but charging the same money. I would rather order from a grocery store next time for half a price and better quality.
