the number 25 on a frosted cake

This cake walk location has left me extremely disappointed every single time. Wish I could give 0 stars. I got a paneer panini some time ago and there was a piece of plastic in it. Then the cake I ordered for a party was decorated very poorly. I could easily follow a YouTube video and decorate a better cake. They charged me $10 dollars extra for a play dough looking fondant decoration. My baby cousin has produced a better sculpture with actual play dough. Their cake recipes are fine but they desperately need to hire someone who knows how to actually decorate a cake rather than charging people a lot of money for a sad cake. You're better off getting a plain shoprite cake and adding decorations yourself.

Birthday cake decoration that I requested. Specifically mentioned I want only dark pink and light pink rosette and no other color

I definitely won't recommend ordering birthday cakes with them ever again. They failed to cross check the cake icing decoration before delivering even after taking notes of all the request made by me. Worst not worth. 100% dissatisfied.

As far as dosas go, this place does a good job. I had the Onion Ravva Masala Dosa. The dosa was nice and crisp, the onions finely chopped and the masala was done just right.

The chutney is frozen , very cold when eating.

Great Indian style pastries. And fresh hot samosas. Go there just for their baked goods.

The chaos, however, was entirely self-inflicted: eight opinionated adults staring at a menu where everything looked good is a recipe for collective disaster. Our server, bless him, stepped in like a professional mediator and steered us toward some solid choices. The food arrived hot and largely delivered on its promise. Largely. The Poori Aloo, while perfectly edible, lacked a certain - as our Punjabi taste buds put it, rather bluntly: the oomph. The Amritsari Kulcha, meanwhile, seems to have had a bit of an identity crisis - it showed up tasting like an Aloo Parantha. For anyone who's had the real deal in Amritsar, this one may prompt a moment of reflection. Everything else, however, was genuinely enjoyable and the menu is a vegetarian's dream come true. Minor culinary debates aside, it's absolutely worth a visit.

The server suggested the specials for the day and we ordered two of them - Tandoori Soya Chaap (appetizer) & Paneer Angara (curry). Tandoori Soya Chaap was 10/10. Main course: Paneer Angara - no where close to the actual dish. It was more like Paneer Kadhai. Methi Malai Paneer, I would rate a 6.5/10. Naans were good. Dal Tadka (not in picture) was good as well but missed tadka. Overall, we were kinda satisfied. Would definitely be coming back for Tandoori Soya Chaap. Huge parking lot, quick service!

That is the vibe of my delivery of Eggmania's Surti Khemo (their egg curry). I asked for it with chapati instead of the default white bread because I like to think ahead about my carbohydrates. By the time it arrived at my house the curry had already undergone a curious separation event. A slick, shining pool of oil settled on top like it was waiting for the Coast Guard to respond, which was odd since I paid extra to have it made with butter rather than oil. Once stirred, its tomato-spiced and boiled egg flavors did shine through. It was not bad at all. But the portion was modest for the price and that oil slick made it feel smaller than it was. The chapati behaved like a polite bit of bread and nothing more. I can't say this first experience wowed me. The menu itself feels full of promise and variety, so if I find myself in the area again I might very well stop by and try something else from it, but this first exposure left me somewhat underwhelmed and thinking of other plans for dinner.

Service was bad before and has t gotten any better. The young girl that came to serve us spoke no English and was bad and Hindi. I speak both and she couldn't talk our order. They charge you and provide bottled water. They charge a 12% service charge. And 3% charge to pay by credit card. Sadly, while the paratha are excellent, it is not worth the added cost. As other reviewers have shared, the decor over the years has improved slightly, but I can't say this would be the play to go for ambiance. And in the setting of the many Indian restaurants in NJ, if you are looking for vibes, dining here would not provide that. As for the food, Khasiyat is known for their parathas and they are always good but definitely challenging to have for takeout. I am actually a bigger fan of their khasta kachori which comes in a generous portion and can be taken to-go with the components separated. Unfortunately, the challenge here is related to service. There have been many times that I have called in ahead of time to place an order for pickup and despite arriving at their recommended time, the food is not ready and I have waited up to an additional 15-20 minutes. If you're there during off-peak hours, that may help though this inconsistency has made it challenging for me to want to continue to go back.
