Rava Masala Dosa
Bianca F.

I was craving chaat but didn't feel like driving all the way to Mithaas so my mom and I came here instead. My mom warned me that the chaat isn't that good, but I was like "how do you mess up dahi puri?". Well, this is the place to go if you want to find out. The dahi puri wasn't disgusting or anything- it just wasn't very good. I wish we just drove the extra distance to Mithaas instead. On the bright side, the rava dosa was pretty good.

Dahi Potato Puri (After we ate most of it lol)

Ordered for takeout. Dahi puri was very tasty (though kinda soggy of course by the time we got it home). My parents liked the chole bhatura well enough, and they liked the filling in my masala dosa (I ate mostly the dosa part which had a good spongey texture and wasn't so much a fan of the filling since it was spicy and had lots of cilantro which I don't like). Since this place is known for parathas (they have 100 kinds! Granted some seem like odd ingredient combinations lol) we also tried the paneer mattar paratha (stuffed with peas & dry crumbled paneer). It was good and not greasy like many places. Would definitely try more of their parathas.

Dabeli !! Lol!

Worst food and worst customer service Ordered take out for Dabeli and got paid bhaji masala on bun; When I called the person on the order side was defending and saying it's okay to put bad review in web! Wow what a confidence; Frankie was loaded with lettuce and gobhi Manchurian with color! Only +ve - I survived with take out order and did not phase in-person nasty attitude from the person on the register; Avoid at all cost - not worth your money and health for poor food and really bad attitude

Amazing food!! It was my first time here and we loved the food so much. Since we were a large group we did try a lot of stuff on their menu. We had their makki di roti with saag and it was so tasty. Loved the Channa batura, tava pulav and the parathas, everything was so flavorful, served hot and very delicious. We also had their dahi puri and tokri chat, I liked the tokri chat more. Definitely coming back!!

Khasiyat is an Indian fast food type establishment with sit down seating. They specialize in Parathas an Indian bread that is traditionally stuffed with potatoes, radish, or cauliflower. At this restaurant, you can find over 100 variations of stuffed parathas. And if none of those suit you fancy, feel free to customize your own with up to 5 ingredients. Each one is priced at $7. I grew up eating parathas, so my expectations are higher than most, since my mother is an amazing cook. The ones served here are good, but I found that they were falling apart easily. They should hold together a little better. We also tried a few other dishes including a dosa (south Indian) and chole bhature (North Indian specialty). The chole were fine, but the bhature was no were close to what you would find in North Indian cooking. The service staff seemed a bit disconnected and considering there was only one other party in the restaurant, they were not very busy. We received a $5 gift card for future use, because their credit card machine was down. So, I will certainly find myself here for another visit.

Khasiyat has been in East Windsor for several years, being the 2nd location of the long time Indian vegetarian fast food eatery on Oak Tree Road in Edison. While it is labeled as fast food & the interior of the place doesn't scream ambiance, the food they serve up is delicious. I haven't dined in, but done take out multiple times. Despite an extensive menu, their specialty which they're known for is the variety of parathas. We usually go with the lunch & dinner combo (4.5/5), which is a great way to try out a bunch of their food items, including the parathas. It comes with choice of bread (parathas, puri, or roti), a dal dish (dal makhani or dal masoor), 2 vegetarian dishes of the day (one is usually paneer), rice, and raita/pickle. They rotate the vegetarian dishes enough to keep things different from day to day. Although they're not known for their dosa, they do a great job with the preparation as the masala dosa (4.5/5) we order hits all the right notes & is among the best in the area. We've also ordered the samosa chaat (4/5), which is decent, but tends to get a bit soggy & falls apart when you do take out. While Khasiyat may not be fine dining, it's a favorite of ours among Indian vegetarian eateries, so worthy of the rounding up to a rare 5 star review.

I like the chaat and paratha that you can get from here. Their lassis are also pretty good. I would say it is not a dosa place and therefore concentrate on what they are good for and that is the different chaats and paratha

It was first visit . Very genuine welcome by server. Quite busy but we got nice table. Server (Valen ,Edwin ,Richard & waitress)was awesome knowledge about menu. Help out with recommendation . Paratha was crispy and yummy. We had pani Puri & pav bhaji . That was awesome, more than I thought. Very economical value with outstanding food and service. Definitely I will be back. Highly recommend.

I know it's a low resting please read the review and let me know if my rating is wrong and I will change as per. Where to start, long wait on Saturday evening we came after 8:15 no setting till 9:00 for party of 8 place was super busy (it's not restaurants fault). Any way 1) took order by 9:10 pm we had to ask the server what happen to our food at 9:45 when table around us was getting food who came after us, 2) wrong order we asked for chaat and we god chas (buttermilk) 3). Now for food tests and quality. Food was no way as good as Oak tree road. Food quality was ok just OK. I have been to Oak tree road and they know how to handle the rush much better then these guys, may be they need more staff to manage. 3) we had five members in our party who was fasting because of Ramadan and it made them really late to eat the food as you know they have not had any water and food all day Now for the good part the person who charged our card was really nice we talked to him and complain about our situation. He was really polite understood that yes there was a issue in the process. He also sent us some dates to break the fast which was really nice I will say these 3 stars are for him not for the restaurant.....

Really delicious parathas and good price. Get the chili paneer. Dip with the pickle and onions and yogurt. Perfect lunch.

The service is overall good and ambiance is fine as it's in a quiet and safe suburban neighborhood. There is plenty of seating and the prices overall aren't bad at all. When it comes to complaints though they're really only minor complaints. The mashed potatoes and gravy could be a bit better as they're mixed together automatically rather than being separated. The main issue isn't them being together but more just the flavor as they're kind of bland and so is the gravy. The coleslaw is average but needs more flavor too. Finally, the rolls are below average as they aren't freshly baked. They're more like a discount version of Hawaiian sweet rolls. Even warmed up or toasted, they have a slightly weird after taste and aren't as good as freshly baked biscuits. In the end, I would still go to Chicken Holiday for a quick bite or a decent catering meal. They give good portions and have a good selection of food to choose from. Should I have called the restaurant? By the time we got our order and realized the cookie was missing- the restaurant had closed and we left the next day. I would reconsider ordering take out from this restaurant unless you can be assured that the individuals packing it can count. They also neglected to include utensils. Not sure if this is a door dash issue- but one would think that a to go order to a hotel would warrant a few plastic utensils. They are usually included in my take out order at my local Panera- but why should restaurant chains have any consistency? I would avoid this branch. The only positive was the hot temperature on the soup- but that I attribute to the fantastic door dash driver we had.
