Stopped in on my way home from the gym one morning recently to pick up a sweet treat for my wife and I to get the day started. The staff was very friendly, welcoming me in as I arrived. There were lots of great options to pick from, so it was a bit of a tough decision, but in the end, I went with their sticky bun, and it was a great choice. One was big enough for the two of us to share, and it was a great treat to end our work week. They also offer a great variety of cakes and other sweets, along with ice cream and a wide variety of hot and cold coffee options, along with many non coffee options. They were all delicious. My daughter said the cake pop was really good. I really loved the cappuccino knot. It was delicious. I wish I had gotten two. We were having coffee across the street and decided to go into Cakes by B. Inside was warm and cozy. They had seats available and you could see the wonderful treats that were for sale. I ended up ordering the peppermint bark, and and espresso cinnamon roll. The cinnamon roll had a very unique taste that I enjoyed. I also ate the peppermint bark in one setting. Not good for my waist but good for my taste buds. I'm excited to go back and try some of the other goodies they have. read more

The only reason this place isn't getting 5 stars from me is because--if "cake" is in your name--I expect a little more variety in the cake department. I was slightly underwhelmed by the options available. That said, everything I did try was absolutely delicious. I ended up getting a lemon bar, a chocolate chip cookie, and a mini chocolate chess pie. The girl at the counter explained that they are a "from scratch" bakery. Everything is made in house or sourced from a place that makes their goods from scratch. The lemon bar had the perfect balance of buttery crust and sweet, slightly tart filling. The chocolate chip cookie was perfection--thick, soft (but not undercooked), and loaded with chocolate chips. The mini chocolate pie was the perfect portion to share, and the flavor was rich and satisfying. The bakery itself is super cute and quaint, fitting right in with the charming downtown Jamestown vibe. Just wish there were more cake options to match the name! read more

This place is adorable! The display case is full of all sorts of pastries! They had some cupcakes and cake pops and a couple cake options, but more of the selection today was pies and bars and cookies and other pastries! They also have ice cream here! The young lady working the register was very patient. It was our first visit here so she gave us plenty of time to decide! I purchased an individual chocolate chess pie, a lemon shortbread cookie, a Rice Krispy treat and an apple caramel bar. We made a last minute decision while in Jamestown to visit this cute little bakery and I'm so glad we did! The atmosphere is one of a cute little house serving up southern pastries like grandma makes. They have just about every pastry you can think of too! We got the lemon bar, brownie, and chocolate pecan pie and all were to die for. Especially the brownie, I'll think about that till I get it again. I had an iced cappuccino with sugar free hazelnut because I knew I wanted to try some of their items and didn't want sugar overload. I didn't need any sweetener for it; it was so good! I tried the chocolate cake pop and my goodness it was so moist. I'm a "less icing more cake" girl so I was pleased that this had just the right amount of icing but not too much. Took my son here after preschool today and it is so quaint. A small older house that has been made into a bakery. They also have coffee and milkshake options. We settled on two vanilla single scoops on a sugar cone and it was so creamy and thick. They have some sweet and savory options as well as gluten free. Work Party!! Look what my lovely boss brought from @cakesbybsbluehousebakery in Jamestown!!! First off, this savory breakfast quiche had a hash brown crust! Breakfast has been served, m'kay. And secondly, look at the size and girth of these chocolate chip cookies! These babies are delicious. It took me a while to finish this huge, perfectly baked cookie. I was in the mood for a milkshake and this place was recommended to me by a local. I will definitely say that my milkshake was very good. I got a Nutella milkshake, and since they were out of vanilla, chocolate was it's substitute. I also decided to try a few of their treats. I gotten the Caramel Apple Bar, Zebra brownie, and What The Heck. The caramel apple bar was very good. Soft and delicious. The zebra brownie completely crumbled when I picked it up. It was very, very dry making it difficult to eat. I don't even recall the flavor because I was disappointed. What the Heck has a very cute presentation, but the taste was meh. I'm not a fan of buttercream icing, so this may be biased, but it overwhelmed the flavor of the actual brownie. I scraped it off, and enjoyed the rest with bits of buttercream that remained. I would definitely return for a milkshake, but not sure about the desserts. Perhaps I should hang around long enough to get one fresh from the oven, because that Zebra brownie was terrible. read more

This is my local go to coffee spot, love their lattes and those quiche are amazing. They have some really nice spots to sit down and get your work done. Really has a family vibe. Staff are great. Also of great importance is that your supporting a local family when you buy here. That money goes back in our community instead of lining a c corps pockets. Man, I am very disappointed with this bakery. I love sweet treats and trying ones in new areas, but I will not come back here. I ate at Full moon oyster bar - right around the corner - and I wanted to end my meal with something sweet. I walked in and it was a cozy little shop. I wasn't greeted when I walked in and the guy behind the counter didn't seem inviting. I ordered a eggnog cupcake ( because eggnog is the best!) and a peanut butter cookie. I left excited to eat them when I got back to the apt. Sincerely, I couldn't have been more disappointed with the items. My cupcake was incredibly dry and fell apart instantly. The frosting was overly sweet and not creamy. And I honestly couldn't tell if the cupcake or frosting was supposed to be the eggnog flavor? They didn't taste like much..but I also did not finish my cupcake. Not worth the calories. My peanut butter cookie LOOKED good. They cooked sugar on top too. But unfortunately, this cookie was dry as well. I did however taste the peanut butter, so that is a win? Overall the cookie was hard and then crumbled when you broke a piece off. A hidden gem off Main St in Jamestown. Offers a variety of baked goods as well as a coffee bar and friendly staff. I stopped in yesterday for some treats. End up purchasing Gluten free cheese biscuits (also keto p/owner), eclair, cinnamon roll, s'mores cupcake, and a What the Heck cake. The biscuits were a bit salty (could be due to type of cheese used?) and the s'mores cupcake took me by surprise (spiced cupcake w/a white glob of buttercream drizzled w/chocolate, sprinkled w/graham crackers, and topped w/a chocolate bar), but it was a delicious surprise. The biscuits, eclair and What the Heck cake were enjoyed by the recipients. The cinnamon roll wasn't consumed until the next day and I was told it was a bit dry--may have been due to sitting overnight. The Apple Delight, an apple streusel/cinnamon roll mashup, is especially good when warm. The selection of coffee drinks is small, but the weekly specials (which recently included a gingerbread white mocha) are usually promising. The ambiance also helps to set Blue House apart. Not only is the building deceptively spacious, but its rooms are quiet, comfortable, and homey. What an adorable little bake shop that we discovered recently while looking for some goodies to take to my parents. It is an unassuming little "house" on Main Street that has a big parking lot in the back. We didn't know what to expect, but we were greeted with amazing scents and a nice case to look at! This place is fast becoming my new favorite bakery. They have some daily items and others that change daily. You can count on a few types of items, and just know the flavors will change. Almost daily scones (flavors vary from sweet to savory), cupcakes (including vegan and gluten free), cakes (whole or slices), cookies and fresh made oatmeal and granola. Coffees, teas, and even ice cream and floats are offered. I can highly recommend their chocolate eclairs- fresh and flaky, with divine filling (not a cream, but more like a patisserie cream/ pudding. Tried a new cake concoction a tiramisu in cake form. It was ok - not great but far from bad. I think I just wanted more of the silky feel of a tiramisu so it was a let down. Will I be back? Imagine the best possible coffee and cake place. Now go to Cakes by B and see it. I had two hours to kill after a class was cancelled and decided to try this place and it was great. My cafe mocha was made quickly and was delicious (the barista even remembered to ask me what kind of milk I wanted after my dumb self forgot to mention my gut will go Chernobyl if I drink milk) and my morning glory scone was warm, moist, and delicious with a nice crunch on the outside. Total came to about $7 which is pretty good. I didn't have any cash to tip with but I can give an honest review to persuade more people to try this place out. But hopefully not too many as it might mess up the calm and cozy atmosphere. The inside is extremely warm with all wood paneling and exposed brick. The music is good but not overpowering. Just some nice background music that sounds like it's from the 60's or 50's. The only issue is that I had a hell of a time finding it. The house it's in looks like...a house. The only sign was blown over and I didn't see it until I was in the parking lot after having driven past it 3 times. I'm sure the sign thing is recent but another one mounted on the front wouldn't hurt. Also Spotify premium would probably be worth the investment. read more

Definitely something to try when in Jamestown! For a small bakery, they have quite the variety of sweet and savory. The offerings change daily to weekly and seasonally. They tend to post a list on Instagram so you can keep an eye out for your favs and plan your diet accordingly! As new Jamestown residents, we're always looking for something new and delicious to eat. We found this when my SIL with a bakery fetish was visiting and drove past it on her way to our house. I generally stay away from bakeries, since I know what's going to happen if I find one I like. Sure enough, we've been there 3 times in just over a week. I love that the menu varies from day to day. We've tried a number of different things now, almost every one was delightful, tender, moist pastries that are freshly baked. I can't even begin to recommend one over another. The peanut butter cake was very peanut buttery with just the right amount of chocolate frosting, the apple pastry was full of apples and cinnamon, the caramel apple bar is buttery and delicious, the blueberry crumb cake was chock full of berries. The scones (sweet or savory) have been moist and flavorful. The biggest surprise was the gluten free cheese biscuits. I'm always way of gluten free baked goods being dry and having an odd texture. These were delicious, full of sharp cheddar and with a wonderful consistency. We are going to have to be very careful to stay out of downtown Jamestown, to avoid temptation. In the meantime, my kitten LOVES everything from this bakery - I have to fight her for the treats! read more

What a great spot! I was in a situation where I would be in the area for 4 hours, and needed to work on my computer. I got some delicious coffee and enjoyed a wonderful atmosphere. There are a few different rooms, since the coffee shop/bakery is located in a (blue!) house, which makes for a bit of sound barrier. The wifi worked excellently, even with a Skype meeting. Unfortunately I didn't purchase a pastry, but I could smell them - and wish I had. There are both tables to sit at as well as comfy chairs (where I parked for the majority of the time), though seating is limited. Just 3 minutes from the GTCC Jamestown campus, this is a good spot to study. read more
