Initially I wasnt sure who I could take my boat to but my boat mechanic and relative's husband referred me there and Im glad I went there. From the minute I walked in Paul heard what I wanted and gave me his advice and options with no pressure. They were honest, fair, professional and most of all the product of their work I cant say enough of how bad*** it came out as I took the boat out to the lake the week after and it was awesome. Cal Custom upgraded the built-in outdated nav system in our 2011 Honda Insight to a modern Sony touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay, plus added a high def backup camera. Paul was easy to work with, walked me through options and pros and cons, and was clear about pricing and time frame. They nailed the installation, looks great, hid the wires on the backup camera so you don't see a trace. He's also got a separate business partner who polished up the headlight exterior looking like new. Pricing & selection: they had two models of stereo and one model of backup camera in store that are compatible with my vehicle. You'll find more options both higher and lower price online, but price for the Sony unit was same in-store as online from Crutchfield or Best Buy. You'll also find lots of videos on how to DIY the install. For a job I'm probably only ever going to do once, I was happy to support a local small business who doesn't stock cheap stuff that's going to fail in 6 months, and who can select the right adapters and wiring harnesses the first time, and has the tools and know-how to do a clean install without breaking clips and panels. DO NOT GO HERE!!! I purchased my wiring and got it installed here for my subwoofer. FOR 450$! A year after installation, the wiring melts and causes a small fire in my trunk, burning a hole into my battery. I came back to the shop expecting them to replace it free of charge. Boy was I wrong, not only did he try to charge me for parts but LABOR AS WELL. I never once adjusted or changed a thing about the setup they gave me. Well, the employee became angry and got into my face yelling profanities at me. So i'm left with 450$ useless wiring and -230$ for a new battery. Super unprofessional and sketchy. read more

I'm just reviewing my experience with this shop, I had a 10 inch Pioneer subwoofer installed at this place, since the beginning I noticed I had some kinda back feed sound coming from speaker, took it back so they reconfigured some things the owner said, after that I kept hearing that back feed, and before I could take car back again the subwoofer went out, so took car back, they had to ship the speaker out and get me a new one, after a month wait, finally the speaker came in and was installed, but I was charged $45 bucks for the shipping of that speaker that I bought from them, I asked if he could wave fee for the inconvenience and the owners response was "What inconvenience?" So for his business it wasn't an inconvenience, but for me it was, And had to pay that charge, and for those reasons I would not recommend this place to anyone who asks me where I got my sub installed... read more

DO NOT take your vehicle here, do not pre pay for any services. You WILL lose your money. This is a bottom of the barrel shop that barely knows what they are doing or anything about customer service. I paid $330 ahead of time to get my car tinted, ended up not needing the tint because I sold the car, they would not refund my money even with the receipt. I basically lost $330 after receiving no service and muscle head tried to strong arm me and get in my face to say that is their store policy. This place was a real disappointment. I have dealt with many customers as I ran a few businesses in my time, the smart thing would have been to give me my whole refund. If you really need a tint shop, go to ACJ tinting in Hayward, they do a good job at a great price. read more

I went here a while ago and was beyond shocked. I gave this place a try because my friend recommended it and said he could give me a deal. Besides the owner calling my friend his "cousin" there was no form of a deal whatsoever. I brought in my two Eclipse subwoofers hoping they could install those and I would pay for an amp and the install fees....WRONG. They told me they could do so and proceeded to come out after 20 minutes and said they blew both Eclipse subwoofers and could not replace them. Being somewhat younger than I am now, I didn't know any better and agreed I would have to buy new ones. They will totally take advantage of you if you let them. The $150 "deal" I was supposed to get turned into a $450 fiasco. Don't go here and if you are desperate, try somewhere in Modesto like Audio Pros or Car Audio Depot....much better service with no complaints. read more

one of my customers told me about this place- I wasnt sure about driving all the way to tracy, but since they were open on sundays and the guys were super helpful. I was not sure what kind of system I wanted,I checked other places and it seem like they just wanted to sell me the most expensive system and all sorts of stuff I didn't need. Long story short Paul, Abel and Victor were wonderful! Despite being swamped on the weekend I was treated really good and I was impressed at how quickly they worked! they totally helped me and didnt make me feel like a dumb girl like some of the other places. I have no idea what the hell Carl was taking about in his review. sounds like he is nuts, every one speaks english, and some of them speak spanish. More importantly they speak customer service A+ from me. these guys are totally professionals and they have some super specials that were hard to beat. I always have a great experience when I come here, especially when working with Paul. I've taken all my vehicles here for alarms, stereos, parts and even window tint. I'm very "OCD" about fit, finish, and functionality and so far i don't have any complaints. It's been 4 years to date I've been coming back here for service, upgrades, and even just advice for my own projects. Their work area isn't the latest in modern technology, but their work ethic and skill more than makes up for it. Since I've been a repeat customer, I think I've benefitted from that relationship with negotiated deals. It may not work for everyone, that's the beauty of negotiating, but I will say that cash proves to be king and you don't feel like it's anything but honest after they give you a receipt. I've been to other places that do cheap work with a handshake and no proof it happened, they don't do that here. Their prices for hardware is reasonable, which means that the bulk of their business is labor. Sometimes it's just nice to let someone else do the work. Besides...
