Absolutely fantastic dental office. I get high anxiety but whenever I go in here I am immediately put to ease!! The staff is amazing and the dr himself is in my opinion the best dentist I have ever had. After informing Stephanie on a Wendesday that my Medi-Cal approval was pending, she called me on Sunday (a Sunday!) while driving which was good timing, and after helping me confirm my Medi Cal is ready she set an appointment for me. Considering I probably would have taken a few more days to call back in to make an appointment she helped me get to the Dr. much sooner! When I went in for my appointment the ladies there were all kind and helpful. So I came decided to look for a dentist that was local to my area & I definitely found the right one. The reviews didn't lie! I hadn't been to the dentist in awhile so I was searching for one that had good reviews & feedback. I came to find Cal Dental online & immediately set up an appointment. They accept Medical! I went in on a Tuesday & it was not too busy. All the ladies that work there are super nice & very polite. It definitely gives a more comforting feeling! Dr. Kim knows what he's doing! He did a good amount of work for my cleaning but I never felt pain nor discomfort. He would continuously ask me if I was doing okay which I appreciate so much. Very gentle & patient! I was having really bad pain one morning on a sunday and freaking out cuz i thought my tooth was abscessing. I looked them up and gave them a call and the girls up front are so amazing, they are professional and so nice. They scheduled a few days later to get me as soon as they could. Moments later they call back and tell me they have a cancellation and they can get me in within a couple hours!! Of course i accept. I hit traffic due to a train coming off beach, i was late and they were totally understanding. I didnt wait long and the girls in person were even better. Personable and explained the treatment plan very well. The Dentist is sooo sweet! He has great bedside manner, he was gentle and kept asking if i was okay. Came to this dentist to get a cleaning because I hadn't been to the dentist in a while. I learned that I had impacted wisdom teeth so I had them removed here one side at a time (my choice). I felt no pain in the process of my removal and the doctor was really attentive to make sure I was comfortable at all times. I grew up scared of the dentist but with Dr. Yang it's a no judge zone. I am currently doing Invisalign at this dentist and it's an easy process! I come in once a month so the doctor can check my attachments and I receive two trays at a time. I appreciate how the staff took my concerns seriously and attempted to fix the experience. They can't change what I experienced but they can definitely change how others experience their dental service. The manager informed me that he talked with the dentist and that they weren't aware of this problem until now. He said they will be making the necessary steps for the betterment of the future clients. I hope they do what they said they would do and that the dentist does make the changes he needs to do so patients don't go through the same negative experience I did. Let me start by saying that I looks are deceiving. The way the staff is so attentive and make you feel so comfortable won me over. I am one who thinks of needles and freaks out. The specialist was AMAZING at make me feel so secure about extracting my 4 wisdom teeth. Came in to see Dr. Kim on a family referral, thank god I did! I had been to two other dentists regarding my wisdom teeth-they'd been bothering me for a while...and the first one was wayyy too pricey (I know several friends in this industry who advised I get a second opinion) and the second one thought it could still be put off and recommended a cleaning. So I come in for a cleaning and Dr. Kim right away noticed my wisdom teeth needed to be removed, and took only 20 mins to pull two of them out! Cal Dental Group accepts most insurances including Medi-Cal which is a plus. I made an appointment for my girlfriend and I, they had openings within the week which made everything smooth. The two receptionists in the front are very friendly and informative. I had a cleaning done and my girlfriend had a cleaning plus fillings. Just to be clear I am not a regular patient...About a month ago I had a tooth break, but I had no pain since the filling was still there...yes I know I should have dealt with It, but I'm a busy mom of 3...Well I guess the rest of the filling came out today while at Costco, pain brought me to my knees...actually left Costco...went on Yelp to find a dentist that was open.
