Usually, I do not just trust any reviews but, realized that they reply to any complains here in Yelp and made me trust them. Dr. Henry is honest and professional. Since 2017 I have been sending family and friends to this dentist because the prices have been very affordable. All the employees here are nice and caring I have no words to describe how amazing is this place. A dentist like Henry is hard to find, most of them they just want to strip your wallet with no mercy. I came here to get a teeth cleaning and they told me I needed: a deep cleaning, 3 cavities filled, and something else that wasn't true. After they took botched ex rays of my mouth I felt super uneasy and almost knew instantly I needed to get out of there. Fast forward to one week later and I want to this place in Irvine who told me I only needed a teeth cleaning (not a much more expensive deep cleaning) and had zero cavities. I had dentures made a year ago and the dentist put a canine where an incisor belongs, I told him it was wrong and he said my jaw was crooked, I accepted it and I bit my cheek for 6 months till I got use to it. Three weeks ago I went to him for s check up and a deep cleaning, Doctor Tran said I looked fine and said I could not get a deep cleaning until medicare authorized it he had me sign the papers for it so he got paid and said he would call me. Incredible. Honestly - I never thought I would be OK with going to the dentist. My previous dental provider thought it would be fun to do fillings with no novocaine, would be incredibly unfriendly to the point of passive-agressiveness. Not here. Dr. Tran and all his staff have been incredibly friendly and kind, and everything has been explained fully. I needed a bunch of fillings and the whole thing was completely painless. Non-judgmental, they really just seemed like they wanted to make sure my teeth were healthy. They also ensured I was aware of what prices were being charged - I only had a deductible and co-pays but they still confirmed everything was OK before performing any work which is awesome :D. I've been to this dentist 3 times. The first time was great, I was greeted and everything was handled very well. The other 2 times, I waited in the waiting room for anywhere between 45 minutes to an hour with a screaming child nearby. They do not keep to appointment times at all and because of this, I will not be returning. It's a shame because the dentist is actually pretty good, but the assistants ruin the experience by being rough with your mouth and half watching the tv while working on your teeth. read more

Before I came to Dr. Tran I had terrible experiences at a dentist office. Over-changed and was painful so I never went back. I was referred to Dr. Tran by family so I figured might as well try and see how it goes. I told Dr. Tran my past experience and he showed me that I don't need to feel that way in his office. He is so kind and gentle. He did the work I needed to get done, showed me what my insurance would cover, and what I would pay out of pocket before doing the work. He genuinely cares about your oral health and will do whatever it takes to make you comfortable with your smile. Thank goodness I found this dentist on yelp. I have had mostly bad luck at choosing dentists, but this visit was so pleasant, I'm almost looking forward to getting my wisdom teeth out haha. Came in for a regular checkup and cleaning, and got two cavities filled on the spot! The dentist was patient, kind, thorough and interested in answering my questions. I didn't feel rushed and you can tell he cares about his patients. The front desk and assistants were friendly and helpful as well, informing me about insurance and payment options. I've had decent dentists before only to never return because the front desk person was rude or apathetic. Customer service is so important! Dr. Henry tran was great! I went in for an extraction of a broken molar and was more than pleased with my experience. Which seems crazy to say considering I had a big ass molar pulled from my face. He was funny, easy to talk to and numbed the shit out of me. Also, I didn't have the money for a root canal. He explained that I should save the tooth blah blah blah but he didn't push the subject. Originally my girlfriend wrote a review for me, but since it did not abide by yelp guidelines "someone" had it removed. So here it goes.... My teeth were in extreme pain.. From 0 to 10, and 10 being the highest I was at a 20. I assumed it was my wisdom tooth, so I made an appointment. The receptionist was very courteous (that's why I gave them 2 stars rather than 1). I was turned away because Dr Tran said I would need to see an oral surgeon to remove my wisdom tooth. The referral he gave me was too expensive (when all fees were added it would've been anywhere from $900 and up). We ended up going to another office where the Dentist told us it was not my wisdom tooth that was causing the problem. The tooth I recently received a filling for got infected and now it needed a root canal. This dentist was able to notice right away the location of the swelling in my face was not that of a wisdom tooth, since it was closer to the front of my face rather than the back. I've been here about 3 times, and every visit I've had appointments that resulted in waiting too long to be seen. Usually I would wait 20-30 mins, which was annoying because this happened every time. After my third visit I was told that I needed a crown for my tooth. The receptionist calls me a few weeks later and said I was approved and that my insurance was going to cover it, so I made a appointment to get it done. The day comes and I show up 10 minutes early and 40 mins later I'm still waiting! This time the dentist's wife tells me I needed to fill out a form to be approved for my crown. Wtf ?! I told her I've been approved according to the receptionist. His wife then says I still need to fill out the forms so she can see if I'm approved or not. Dr. Henry Tran is a great dentist and making appointments is crazy easy. They are listed on ZocDoc so you can just set up an appointment online if you're not a phone-in-to-book kind of person. Although, if you're so inclined, they do book appointments the old fashioned way as well. As far as I know they are a multilingual office who can explain things in English, Vietnamese, and Spanish. Living in San Francisco I completely skipped seeing a dentist because going outside is always such a drag so once I found myself in the Orange County area, I looked up a dentist who has high ratings and accepts my ppo. Feel free to call to check if they are in network with yours but I believe they accept most insurances. They have two locations but I've only been to the one in Costa Mesa. Everyone in the office is extremely friendly. I've recommended their office to several members of my family who live in the area already. Everyone has had nothing but great comments for his work ethic and quality of care. I've been here twice for myself and twice for my girlfriend. Each time, we waited for less than 10 minutes. I had a deep cleaning done and Dr. Tran was exceptionally thorough and made sure I had enough pain meds before proceeding. Afterward, they also gave me a care package to bring home which had Sensodyne toothpaste, floss, and a toothbrush. If you are in need of a dentist either in the Costa Mesa or Anaheim area, I would recommend you check this dentist out. read more

I've never met any doctor that is as caring, patient, and gentle as Dr. Henry; he gave me good advices on how to better clean and brush my teeth to avoid pain and cavity in the future. He also showed me that I had some wisdom teeth that need to be removed in the future and told me to come back for a check up a few months later. He even walked me outside which I've never seen any other doctors did it before! The staffs are very nice and accommodating, always asking if I feel comfortable and if I'm hurt anywhere. I've had some really traumatic and painful experiences with previous dentists that have given me a bit of anxiety whenever people work on anything in my mouth, but this dental team seems to be fixing that for me! Other dentists I've visited seem to overbook their office appointments so they end up in a highly stressful rush from person to person and it lowers the quality of care and comfort for sure. I feel a lot safer in the hands of Dr. Tran because he has an air of patience and calm when he's working with you.
