I am a OG. Been coming here since they first opened. Its December and if you snooze you lose. In dental terms that means if you do not use every last penny of your dental benefits then its gone. This time, I needed a root canal and a crown. Both were done the same day in a short 3 hour tour. The real kicker is I did not feel a thing. Both procedures were a lot easier than I expected. First up was my root canal. Once that was finished I immedidiately went into the second inning. The good old crown. After some more exrays and drilling The crown was made in house in about 30 minutes. It was absolutely beautiful. Once completed the crown was fitted, adjusted then I was done. Zero pain!! Everything is done in house. Each specialist is brought in. The entire staff is friendly. They take HMO and PPO. Thats the kicker. They take HMO. Most good dentists that offer such exceptional service wont touch HMO plans. If it makes you feel better the week before I had 2 fillings. Those were also easy peasy. Bring headphones and a fidget toy. read more

I fearrrrr the dentist!!‍ growing up I never experienced a good dental visit....back in January of this year I was experiencing pain on my left side, I figured as much that it was a cavity. I decided to schedule an urgent dental appointment with this office, to begin with the scheduling was very easy! I was able to book my first appointment online and I was seen the next day. Turns out my pain was due to my wisdom teeth but that's another story. I had an exam with Dr. Nguyen, he was kind and very informative. After the whole fiasco with my wisdom teeth I decided to come back to this office to start my dental journey. I scheduled a deep cleaning and I was terrified to go in. Chloe their hygienist helped me out and I had the best experience with her. She's very welcoming and makes you feel comfortable right off the bat. She's gentle and very careful! She truly made my deep cleaning experience a breeze. Although I have yet to get any other work done there, I did schedule my appointments for further treatment to better my dental health. I really do want to emphasize that if it wasn't for Chloe being great at what she does I probably would've not came back. Updated review after my scheduled cleaning and another visit for some discomfort I was feeling. First, the dental cleaning. One word: amazing. You're thinking, "what?! Get out of here with that Betty, ain't no Dentist visit that could be amazing?!" But let me tell you, this dental office really looks out for their patients. I had to bring my daughter with me, and although she was very well behaved, the dental hygienist was so kind, and very mindful of her. My daughter sat on a chair in the room and she acknowledged her when she asked questions and was ever so patient. The visit was quick and my teeth felt great. The dentist checked my teeth and said we would keep an eye on some areas, but nothing that proper care won't keep at bay. He really does the most he can to keep your teeth in tact instead of just drilling. Needless to say, I am more conscious of keeping my teeth healthy now and have not had any pain return. I had an amazing experience at Cypress Dentist office! Due to negative past experiences at other offices, I developed a fear of the dentist and genuinely dreaded going. Dr. Tran eased my nerves as she explained every procedure, and answered all of my questions patiently. She made sure that I was completely numb before proceeding with the treatment; As well as checked in with me throughout to make sure that I was still doing well. I can say with certainty that this has been my most positive experience with any Dentist and dental office. I was actually originally going to split the work that I needed into two appointments. I'm writing this, while my face is literally still swollen. That's how great Cypress Dentist Office (CDO) is. Every single staff member, every single one, made the experience top notch. I've had traumatic dentist experiences. That's because unfortunately for me, apparently my body flushes out local anesthesia very quickly. So I thought the norm is to have some amount of pain with treatments. Just endure. Dr Brian, on the other hand, for any perceived wincing, he always stopped and would insist that we should deal with the pain first and that he's fine with taking as long as needed. I had a pretty serious treatment done today, which is why my face is swollen and i can say that if i weren't with a team as caring as CDO, it would've been a normal, endure the pain, traumatic experience. Okay, so this review is way overdue--kind of like my flossing habit that I swear I'll keep up with (spoiler: I forget... a lot. Who's counting? No judgment, please). But hey, better late than never, right? I went in for a cleaning with Cathy, and let me tell you--she does not mess around. She got into every nook and cranny, probably discovered parts of my mouth I didn't even know existed. If plaque had a witness protection program, she still would've found it. My follow up cleaning was with Ann, who was just as amazing. She was gentle but thorough, making sure my teeth were spotless. At this point, I'm convinced there's a secret competition between them to see who can clean my teeth the best. Both visits were fantastic. I called to schedule an initial visit, Kevin was able to get me in the next day. Had my consult x-rays. Needed extensive work. Scheduled my procedures within two weeks, deep cleaning, root canal and a crown due to a crack on my molar. I was really nervous about the procedures, but it was painless and fast. They also accept PPO and HMO insurance, which helped alot. The staff is amazing!! I already referred two of my family members. read more

They had the best X-ray systems 2-D and 3-D and they also were prompt. Dr. 'T was a great dentist and explained the X-rays well as well as the live video of inside my mouth. One complaint is the sort of presumed agreement that you will do the laser treatment. Makes you feel bad to turn it down as they are so kind but o opted for regular cleaning and keeping an eye out for pockets getting worse. They obliged so that was awesome as I've had other places refuse to do cleaning. Insurance probably doesn't pay enouyto do regular cleanings. read more

Recommended for top-notch quality of care, empathy amongst staff, trustworthiness --- Been coming to this clinic routinely, even though I am a resident in San Francisco. That's 425 miles awaaay. As someone in the healthcare industry for 14+ years (ie: Hoag, CHOC, Sutter Health and UCSF), the reviews do not encompass this dental establishment justice. The condensed review: my experience was unpleasant & stressful. Cons: pushy sales tactics & long wait time during appt. Pros: clean office, high tech equipment. I had an appt for a routine cleaning & xray- which was my first and last visit to this office. 1 hour and 15 minutes into my appt the X-rays (including 3D panoramic) were done & Dr Michelle Ho had done a consult with me advising a deep cleaning for my gingivitis. The receptionist came in with the $235 deep cleaning & $130 to refill a "cracked" filling I explained because it's my first visit I want the zero cost standard cleaning & next time I'd pay for the deep cleaning & make an appt for the refill. She said she'd have to ask the dentist if she'd be okay w/not doing the deep cleaning. What?! My last cleaning was 6 months ago. Before my insurance switch up- I'd get cleanings EVERY 3 to 4 months with my dentist of 7 years to help with the gingivitis. Dr. Michelle came back in for a 3rd time & said I'll have to sign a waiver for the standard cleaning & going against her advice of deep cleaning. I said fine- even though I have NEVER been asked to do this at any other dentist. After 10 more mins of waiting I followed my gut feeling about this place being more of crooked mechanic's sales shop for teeth than a dentist office & left. Dr Michelle was standing at the front desk, I let her know how disappointed I was to have been there for an hour and 15 mins so they can try to upsell me on services. I had an initial appointment for myself and two sons but had to cancel unexpectedly after I came down with the flu. Upon calling to reschedule they took down my number to call me back as they were busy but they never did. I ended up having to call back two days later to set up new appointments. The first set up of appointments was super easy to do. No problems to get myself and two kids a time slot together. Kevin, who assisted me the next times I called, made this process much longer and seemed difficult to find us a slot together. I ended up scheduling on different weeks and had to now pull my kids out of school to get their exam done. I wasn't upset that they were booked. It was just the slight attitude that it seemed Kevin had like I was inconveniencing him to make these appointments. I got off the phone already regretting deciding to switch my insurance to this office and I had not even set foot inside yet. I will say the office is clean and modern. Which I appreciated. They have new equipment and seem to have all the high tech devices that are out there for dentists. I also thought my doctor and assistant were extremely nice and I was grateful for how comfortable they made my son during his exam and cleaning. Unfortunately that's all the good things I have to say about this place. After my new patient exam I was given a list of treatment plans I needed. I was suggested to get this laser gum treatment they offer, as well as more extensive work like an onlay to replace a portion of an old silver filling that is beginning to fracture. The Dr also tried to suggest I get my top wisdom teeth removed but I explained to her that I had been under the care of an oral surgeon in recent years to remove all four but it was deemed in my best interest not to remove the top two (which have NEVER caused me any issues). She kindly let me know if that ever did change that they had an oral surgeon on site and I didn't even need to go anywhere else to get the removal done. Surprise surprise. After the Dr goes over your treatment plan with you they send in the office staff to go over pricing options with you. Which in my case was Kevin - . I asked questions regarding the laser treatment. Is that the only option? Because they wanted $195 just for this treatment which I have never had suggested to me by any other dentist before. His response? If there is another treatment for the laser I've never heard of it. When he presented me the pricing for my onlay he said - your insurance quote is $410 but we use Cerec and mill it here in the office in an hour so I added $100. I wasn't in a hurry, this wasn't an emergent dental case. I don't need a cerec onlay just for the speed so why would I pay more just to get that done? But I wasn't given any other option. I mentioned I work for a dental lab and have the ability to have my own onlay made if they would cement it for me. Kevin told me he's worked for many providers and has never known anyone to be willing to do this. I do in fact work with dentists who will do this so I will just go to one of them.. After all of that I turned down any additional treatment plans and just did my cleaning. It seemed to almost irritate Kevin that I was declining the additional treatments. He very abruptly just said "okay" with a tone and spun in the chair to get up and leave. I was not planning on leaving a review but then a week after my appointment I get an email from the office -auto generated yes- but telling me to call them with questions to complete my Recommended Tooth Extraction. Excuse me? I don't need a tooth extraction. Also, why is my medical chart reflecting a referral to an oral surgeon? This office totally feels like it runs on the idea of adding as many procedures and upcharges as they can per patient to increase sales. Just be warned if you go here. I truly felt like dollar signs in a chair rather than an actual person. read more

Found this office on Yelp and was really hoping Dr Brian Nguyen can be my new local dentist. He was friendly and his office is very modern and clean. However, as someone who never had cavities and always just got basic checkup and cleanings done every year, I felt uncomfortable that this dentist was the first one out of all the ones I went to to add more to the treatment plan. He recommended I get this irrigation procedure done on my teeth, which ended up not being covered by my insurance. I worked as a receptionist at a dental office before and I see how some dentists like to place more things than necessary on the treatment plan to get more money out of the patients. As a patient who has good oral hygiene, I didn't find this necessary and refused the irrigation procedure. The dentist then came back inside and asked me why I refused. That made me a little uncomfortable and annoyed. They ended up just cleaning my teeth, but what bothered me more was what happened afterwards. Since you need to make an online account, I was able to see all the notes and it looks like the notes stated that I got the irrigation procedure done. I called the office and asked for clarification. The receptionist was defensive and said that they didn't charge the procedure. It was just added on there automatically. The hygienist was very nice but I don't understand why he couldn't update his notes to reveal the exact procedures he did to avoid this confusion. The medical record should be accurate but instead of apologizing for the confusion, the receptionist just responded that I wouldn't be charged. How is that comforting? The receptionist had to email me a copy of their receipt to show me that they didn't charge my insurance for that procedure. This was very annoying to deal with and the receptionist didn't even bother apologizing for that confusion. For a brand new dental office, there is room for improvement with communication and accurately reflecting what was performed on the medical record. This was a red flag for me. I wanted to give them a second chance and went to them one more time for a six-month cleaning. They tried to do X-rays on me and I refused. Why do you need to do another set of X-rays for just a six-month clean up? I never had cavities so I'm not a patient who needs that many X-rays. These people are just so pushy with their sales and try to add more stuff to charge either me or my insurance. I don't trust this office and both times they made me very upset. Then once the Dr. started working on my "cleaning", he rushed through it within 10 minutes and didn't even perform a checkup. Just told me everything "looked good" and rushed to the next patient. This has been THE BEST experience I've ever had. I needed a crown replaced after fracturing the old one while eating (ouch). Past dental experiences have left me full of anxiety and fear. Dr. Tran was awesome! She is definitely an expert in her field. She was patient and understanding, and I felt heard in every aspect. Past dentists have told me I was not in pain, that what I was experiencing was nerves or pressure. Where Dr. Tran took time listening to all of my concerns, and addressed every one of them. I came here after avoiding the dentist for many years, and I had a great experience. My husband also came here for dental work, and he had a good experience too, so he recommended I go here when I said I needed to finally make a dental appointment. I was pretty nervous. My dental hygiene was not the best and I hadn't had my teeth cleaned in years. I didn't know what to expect. However, the staff here were super kind. The dentist, Dr. Nguyen, took me on a tour of the dental office, showed me the rooms, machines, and x rays. They seem like they have a lot of advanced technology here, which was cool. He was really nice, and took his time with all of that which made me feel more relaxed I got x-rayed, and surprisingly had no cavities, which was cool. I did need a deep cleaning, which was expected. I convinced them to do my whole mouth because I didn't just want to do half and leave, the dentist agreed, thankfully. The whole deep cleaning procedure was chill. I just laid back and relaxed, and they did half my mouth, took a little break because my jaw was apparently starting to shake, and then finished the second half. My mouth felt the cleanest it has ever felt when all was said and done. They took my insurance too, so if you have delta dental insurance I especially recommend this place because I thought I was going to be spending a lot more out of pocket. All in all, an excellent experience. Since my cleaning it's been much easier to have a solid daily dental hygiene routine complete with mouthwash and flossing. My gums don't even bleed anymore. I highly recommend cypress dentist office and Dr. Nguyen! It was a good experience, they didn't try to make me have procedures I didn't need, and addressed all of my dental concerns. I never liked to going to the dentist and only go if I have to because I hate the pain from the needle. Even with the numbing gel, I could still feel the needle in my inner cheeks and gum. I would start getting nervous a few days before every visit. It's different this time, for the first time in my life that I didn't feel the needle when Dr. Brian N injected local anesthetic to my inner cheek and gum. Front office: the staff was courteous and helpful. Back office: the assistants were attentive, carried out instructions from the dentist correctly, have a relaxed and professional work attitude with the dentist. Dentist: Dr. Brian N. listened to my concerns and his calmness calmed my anxiety. He was thorough and explained what needed to be done. He made his recommendation, offered options and let me choose my type of crown. Overall: I was able to get appointment quickly, waited 15 mins before got taken into the room, the dentist spent an appropriate amount of time examining and treating. Cypress Dentist Office needs more than 5 stars!! My previous dentist retired and my teeth really needed to be cleaned. One of my friends at the gym recommended me to see Dr. Brian Nguyen and his staff at Cypress Dentist. It is a bit of a drive for me, but this experience was worth the traffic. and I hate traffic as much as everyone else. I was super impressed with how clean everything inside the office is. Before my appointment, I was able to fill out the majority of new patient forms online. I signed up for their patient portal system: I was able to view my upcoming appointment and see my patient chart. It was empty, but very easy to navigate. Upon entering the facility, I was warmly greeted by the receptionist. The check-in process was super simple, and I barely got to sit down before the staff called me to the back. There is also a self-serve refreshment station in the waiting area. Everything is state-of-the-art technology, and Dr. Nguyen explains all of it. He is very knowledgeable and wants to share that knowledge with his patients. He welcomes questions and answers all of them with precision and clarity. He is very thorough in his work - I didn't feel rushed to get out of the chair. Dr. Nguyen walked through every step of a procedure before he began so there weren't any surprises. Thank you Doctor for the dental lesson and excellent care! My teeth were cleaned by the dental hygienist, Christian. Like Dr. Nguyen, Christian explained everything he was going to do and made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire process. We also had conversations throughout the treatment - he would remove his hands from my mouth to let me respond which was pretty nice, I didn't bite his fingers accidentally lol I don't think I've ever had a dental visit where I didn't feel anxious... but this was a first, and I am forever grateful for this experience. The absolute best dentist and team! I've been postponing get any teeth fixed due to prior negative experience. Dr. Brian not only eased my fears, he actually listened to me about why my fears are valid to me. I felt so at ease with him that I proceeded with the tooth extraction with bone graft placement. Let me say this. That was the best experience I've EVER had in my 39 years alive. I am going back in 1 month to take care the rest of me teeth issues. We were in an unfortunate situation with a painful tooth. My husband visited the endodontist that did the previous root canal on this tooth only to find out that there was an infection on the tooth and gums because the crown that was put on top of it was not sufficient. We called this office and they got my husband in that day for a consultation and was able to fit him in later that week to have the tooth pulled. This dentist is very gentle and experienced, my husband was very comfortable with the whole experience.
