Downgraded to 3stars. New place and the new employees have made their coffees worse and inconsistent. We stopped going there about a month after they moved to the new location 2 doors down. I wish the veterans are back. May be we will come back after a while, after the newbies learn how to make good coffees. read more

I went to high school in Hollister, left in 2009, and just moved back and was happy to see Calavera in our little town. The overall esthetic is great, it's trendy, fun, and just what our little town needed. The service is good, the order ahead option that is offered on weekdays is nice. I have tried the Mackinaw peach, lavender latte, and normal latte, and each time I have always had that same thought, I wish the coffee was stronger. The peach latte did not really taste like peach either. I would never ding a local small business on taste because it is a personal preference. Calavera is 100% worth a visit if you're a local, or just passing through town. read more

This was confusing! Calavera Coffee appears to have historically been located in a Garden Shop, west of here. It seems to now more simply be the kind of coffee served in Farmhouse Coffee, and so, none of the photos posted here have anything to do with the location of this coffee. In addition, most people checking in aren't likely to check into a kind of coffee on Yelp, they're going to check in to Farmhouse, which already has its own listing. I think this should probably just be marked as a Duplicate and Closed. Good coffee though. read more

I had been wanting to try this coffee shop for months, now! Finally, today was the day! The presentation is gorgeous, the shoo itself is so cute, the staff is very friendly and our coffees were amazing! I got the lavender latte and it puts every other lavender latte to shame! It tastes like actual lavender, it was frothy and tasty, not overly sweet. My boyfriend got the mocha latte and you can taste the chocolate it in, too! Most lattes taste like syrup, these taste like artisan, fresh coffee with real ingredients. I'm so sad I am moving away next week, I would have been a regular. Superb quality read more

I have stopped in to Calavera Coffee a couple of times. Both times the staff was very friendly and seemed happy to be working there! The online ordering is convenient and quick. I have only tried one of their food items, but the chia seed pudding was delicious. I can't wait to try their pour over. They use quality coffee which makes their drinks delicious. read more

Everything about this coffee shop is it for me! The vibes in there are just right. Awesome music and very friendly staff. Beautifully decorated and well taken care of plants. Best coffee in town. I'm a purist and enjoy their plain black coffee and americanos. But their specialty drinks are also amazing. Villain and matcha are my favorites. They also sell pastries from a local bakery that are amazing. Cool vibe there, they always have some vinyl spinning and have a small selection of new vinyl for sale (as well as art from local artists). They often have pop ups from other local business. Lastly, the staff is always inviting, friendly, and great at what they do. read more

Was passing through town and searched for coffee. Stopped in for a quick drink. Small place, nice ambiance with cute merch and locals studying/working. I asked the barista for the most popular drink. It's was something they made from hand with cascara in it. It was the most unique coffee drink that I have ever had that actually tasted delicious. It definitely stop by again. read more
