Meh. Food adequate but not amazing. I miss Cozy Cup. Probably this first visit here will be my last. Extra $$ for hashbrown to an already overpriced "just fine" menu. Overly browned pancakes (although what I assume was added vanilla extract was nice) Nah. I'm good. I will stick with the country rose or flapjacks for sure. read more

I haven't been in since it changed from cozy cup. I had breakfast here today and really enjoyed it! Had a kick to it which I loved. I also got the cafe de olla and it was yummy as well. I happened to know two of the servers, which made the experience even better and they gave great recommendations and didn't miss a beat. The food was really good, fresh, and came out quickly. I'm chose this place because of the reviews.... Maybe I expected it to WOW me, that it did not. I decided on the Crab Benedict. It came out SUPER fast for a Benny, that concerned me. My concern was warranted. Upon first glance the hollandaise sauce was THICK! Was it homemade or from a packet... My English muffin was soggy, I prefer a fresh toasted muffin so you get some crunch to it. All in all the flavor profile was bland, if I didn't know there was a crab cake on the ingredient list I would not have guessed one was under all the think sauce, thank goodness for Tabasco. We won't be back. We've eaten here twice and decided the food is just ok. I don't think the soup of the day was made in house, just a typical canned /bland vegetable soup. The Cobb salad was nice enough looking but they didn't have Italian dressing as requested. Upon paying we noticed they automatically added 3.9% credit card use fee which made the entree totals odd amounts instead of the listed menu price. We pay in cash usually to eliminate the 3.0% credit card use fee now being passed on to the consumer. Making the fee 3.9% feels like being nickel and dimed to get just a little more out of their customer. They don't realize that the reduced tip will reflect this move. It's sad that the food does't match the prices and fees they are charging the customer. Another one bites the dust for us. read more

My friend and I wanted to check out this new breakfast/lunch place in town. For those that are familiar with Hollister, this restaurant is in the old Cozy Cup building. We arrived a little after 9:00 and were able to be quickly seated despite the fact that the restaurant was pretty full. Our waitress was Maria and she was both efficient and personable. There were many great options on the menu and some specials that were posted on a board outside. The vegetarian options were clearly marked. We each decided on a different special of the day. The food was very good and plentiful. I honestly didn't look at the lunch options, so I guess I'll save that for my next visit. As we were leaving, we chatted with Maria a bit. She introduced us to the owner Teresa who is very sweet. I recommend this restaurant for a hearty breakfast or brunch. read more

First time at Heidy, it's a nice hold in the wall spot for breakfast. Staff is nice and friendly which is a plus. Food wise my husband for a chicken breakfast burrito and I got French toast. We played it safe since it was our first time, next time we will try some of their other items. I came in on a Saturday right as they opened. We were seated, ordered drinks and then food. The food came out relatively quickly. My only issue is the quality of it. The potatoes were extremely oily. The scramble itself was oily and the bacon in it looked hardly cooked. The toast was delicious, but drenched in butter. If I come here again, I'll get something like pancakes or French toast, but nothing that risks having a plate of food layered with oil. The inside is nice with good lighting and TVs. read more

Service was excellent! Fast, attentive, and patient! I got the corn beef hash which was yummy but probably won't get again as it was a tad too salty for my liking. The pancakes were yummy and the strawberry syrup they make is what took these pancakes to the next level and made them so delicious. My brother got the chilaquiles which he liked, I tasted it as well and will probably be getting that next time as I really enjoyed them. Sis got the steak eggs Benedict which she absolutely loved and said they were not only delicious but supper filling as well. French toast was probably my favorite, it was just the right amount of sweet and even delicious when I had them as my cold leftovers. We did also taste the coffee but I wasn't a big fan.
