So we decided to come check this place, it is advertised as a Michelin star place. I'm sorry, this was a let down, it is a Ceviche restaurant mainly, but the first thing they told us, WE DONT HAVE ANY FISH, therefore our choices were minimal. We ordered two Chilcanos which is a Peruvian drink, and we had no choice to go with than mix ceviche. After almost 30 min waiting, we got our entrees, you could tell the shrimp was frozen and the rest was sliced red onions on a salty lime sauce. This place was not a good experience, it's small and run down, there's no light and we were so cold cause there was no heat. I don't recommend you guys to waste your time here. I still don't know wha they ever got a Michelin star. Let down.

Leche de Tigre

My husband brought me here on our anniversary. It's a very vibrant colored nautical themed place. We were greeted by the chef who was very nice as was all of the staff. Now the ceviche. We shared the Leche de tigre, which was amazing and we paired with a Pisco sour. We did not realize just how big this was. In hindsight, we should have bought one each and that would be a great meal. We each had the Ceviche de Corvina which was also delicious. However, the Leche de Tigre steals the show for me. For dessert, we each had an alfajore which tasted like those delicious homemade type. Looking forward to coming back.

I've never experienced this in my whole life. I normally don't leave bad reviews but there was a guy sleeping on a cough inside the restaurant during our entire meal! And these prices are not cheap! That is extremely unprofessional and rude. For these prices the service should be better and there shouldn't be someone sleeping in the middle of the restaurant!! Do better

Arroz Chaufa de pollo

This place's food was amazing. Highly recommend it. The arroz chaufa de pollo was delicious. Tender meat. Amazing flavor

This is an amazing cevicheria and the food is delicious with great plating/presentation. The servers were very attentive and anticipates your needs. The inside dining area was a small escape from NY. It was very quaint, soothing ambiance, chill music and just relaxing. And at the end of my experience, I get the chance to meet Chef Lucho who was very kind and welcoming. He even gave me a Peruvian beer!

Ceviche de Corvina

This is the best ceviche and jalea I've had outside of Peru when I went many years ago. Although the plates were a little pricey, they did not skimp out on flavor and the portions were just right. Service was quick and friendly and the restaurant had a coastal theme with an almost punk vibe with the mix of dark and vibrant colors. This restaurant's was recognized by Michelin and I see why, you can taste the ocean from the freshness of the fish used and just writing this makes me wish I could go back to New York for more right now!

Ceviche de Corvina, it was amazing!

When I arrived the greeted me so well, didn't have to wait to be seated. What I got as a beverage was a chicha morada very good! & for the food everything was excellent! I will be back

Alfajores with Dulce de Leche

Found this place on Michelin Guide, it's Bib Gourmand. In the middle of a random residential area in Queens. Very cool location. I loved driving into the area. Food: 1. Ceviche de Corvina Extremely fresh seafood, perhaps fresh as a top tier sushi spot, very fulfilling ingredients. I felt healthy and my stomach felt grateful after eating this. The meal almost felt probiotic. Had a pleasant texture. The tigers milk marinade gave everything a flavor-bomb explosion sensation, extremely sour and tangy (almost too much), crispy flavor, salty, and slightly spicy. Every tastebud felt overwhelmed in a good way. The sweet potato balanced everything off nicely. Amazing 2. Tiger's Milk - Leche de Tigre Same type shit. Except had different types of seafood (shellfish instead). The combination of seafood was fun and it was served in a cool ass glass, but the Corvina ceviche destroys this one. This one might have been even a little too sour/tangy, and that's crazy because I love very sour ceviche. They also skimped on the sweet potato on this one. Also skimped on the seafood a little in general. Still fantastic flavor though ! 3. Alfajores (cookies) w dulce de leche ice cream Alfajores are a classic South American cookie, it seems. Tasted like a short bread with caramel. Peruvian caramel ice cream. Simple but perfect. Sometimes less is more. My friend got one of the soups and the broth tasted magnificent! I forgot which one it was but I believe it was the Aguadito de Mariscos. I'll definitely come back and get the soup next time. Ambience: 4.5/5 Decor was cool, casual vibes. Fit the theme of the food. Nothing crazy tho. They were playing South American style covers of classic songs. There was a chair made from a canoe which was dope . Service: Service was good, workers kind and helpful. They came by and made sure they got our order correct because the first waitress didn't speak English. They were attentive ! Overall I'd give a 4.5/5 - definitely deserved Michelin guide Bib Gourmand. For Yelp sake I'll round up to a 5 !

Ceviche Mixto

This is truly a neighborhood gem! The food is absolutely delicious and fresh. We ordered the ceviche mixto and chaufa de mariscos with chicha morada. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful inside. You're instantly transported away from the bustling noise of Jamaica Ave and sent to a warm and inviting home with a lot of boho details. A MUST TRY!

Ceviche de corvina.... Super fresh, authentic and delicious

(Español abajo) I am a serious Peruvian food enthusiast but at the same time very picky. Most Peruvian places in the city are like watered down fast food, or else just not authentic. This place is the real deal! The ambience is very unassuming, casual hole in the wall with a beach vibe, but the food is a home run. The service is good. Also I am in a wheelchair and the entrance is accessible. I ordered ceviche de corvina, arroz con mariscos, and chicha morada. Everything was super fresh, flavors well balanced, beautifully presented, and as close to eating in Peru as you can get. They earned that extremely hard to get Michelin star deservedly! A little out of my way but I will be back. Se merecen esa estrella Michelin porque la comida es riquísima, bella en su presentación, y a la vez muy auténtica y tradicional. Soy muy difícil de impresionar en cuanto a los restaurantes peruanos, pero éste sí me dejó muy impresionada.

Great seafood - not overwhelmed with additives. Sweetheart hostess. Mellow atmosphere.

Michelin recommended authentic Ceviche in Richmond Hill!!! The owner is a star and makes the experience even better! Had the tiradito (not on the menu but you should ask for it!) superb. Best ceviche in NYC.

Excellent!!!!!! A bit pricey but very good! Employees that work there would help you if it's your first time getting some seafood from them. First time for me and I got mixto! Small menu but you won't need anything more..

The service was steady and never pushy. The sangria seemed popular and I def will order some the next time!

The steak in the Colombian breakfast was on the salty side, and the sausage was a bit too crispy for my taste, but otherwise, the food hit the spot. Since my friends and I all live in Manhattan, it was an adventure for us. A rooftop restaurant with an outdoor terrace yes please. Decor was gorgeous and sleek. Although the bar was small, it was lighted and eye-catching. A huge Nutcracker greets you as soon as you walk inside. The space was loft style with seating upstairs as well as an outdoor terrace. (Terrace was closed due to winter). There was a DJ booth upstairs as well which led me to believe the place might turn into a club/lounge. Lots of seating everywhere. The crowd was mild when we arrived with a few birthdays observed. As the day went on the crowd was a bit more lively. The food looked quite delicious as my friends ordered steak and eggs and an English Muffin dish with poached eggs and fries. Good sized portions for the price. However, my French Toast was less than desired. Three sad little pieces of a faux brioche bread that was served cold. No salad on the plate as you can see from the picture. This was my meal for the day and not satisfying at all. Our waitress was very nice and did her due diligence EXCEPT for our water service. We ordered water and she did not specify that there was a charge for it. When our bill came and we asked about it, she stated that we "asked for flat water not tap water". I did not recall her stating there was a charge. She assumed we wanted flat BOTTLED water and charged us for it. Not good service since she was not being transparent. Bathrooms were clean. The place is definitely a vibe. If you are looking for views of the city and overpricing in Queens, this is your place. I would have to weigh my options prior to a second visit as I can't say it would be my first choice.

Notes- Most dishes are a bit more, so see the photos, but not by much…read more I have been to this Ecuadorian restaurant twice at this point, though last time was long enough ago that even with my usual vast food memory, I barely remember what we ordered outside of it all tasting good. The most recent time was a few days ago, and it was excellent. The staff is nice, and the portions are generous for the price point, with two of us taking home leftovers out of the four people dining. To drink, three of us had shakes, or rather batidos, with the prices being $7 en agua or $8 en leche. I went with Lulo, which is listed as Solanum online, but really refers to naranjilla. As per the name, it means a little orange, but it is closer in flavor to a mix between pineapple and lime. Others had Maracuyá/passion fruit and Guanábana/soursop, and everyone enjoyed their drinks. They gave us some chulpi/corn nuts on the table, along with some aji verde, a lightly spicy green sauce which went with some of our heavier appetizers. Our heavier appetizer was two orders of the Bolón Mixto for $10. Bolon refers to a green plantain ball, and they offer the traditional cheese version along with chicharron, or with camarones/shrimp. The mixto combines the cheese and pork, and it was delicious, but very filling. One was more than enough, but we still enjoyed it, with the aji verde helping to reduce the overall richness. There was also the $6.50 Yapingachos/Llapingacho, or pan-fried potato cakes. These came two to an order and came topped with an onion and tomato salsa, along with some lettuce below. The potato cakes were a lot lighter by comparison to our other appetizer, but still flavorful. I would recommend them, as with other people who go here. Our smaller main dish was the Ceviche de Pescado for $17.00, or fish cocktail served either with rice or, as our choice, chifles or fried plantain chips. This was also available as a mixto, but I didn't order it as I have a pulpo allergy. There was a large amount of fresh fish inside for the price, making it very worth it. As with most ceviches, there was some sourness from the lime along with some fresh chopped herbs, onions, and tomatoes. It lacked a bit of heat I usually prefer, but I still liked it, and the whole thing was devoured quickly. Our other main dishes were all $19. My favorite of the bunch was the Seco de Chivo, with goat stew slowly cooked in home-made sofrito and beer, served with yellow rice, sliced avocado, and sweet plantain. The goat was cooked down until it was extremely tender, but still had a bit of chew, and there was a good amount of meat, even with the amount of bones in there. The broth was savory and mildly sweet, being warming, comforting, and perfect on top of the rice. This was excellent. For most of the other group, their favorite was the Chaulafan, a mix of stir-fried rice with chicken, beef, shrimp, egg, and veggies served with sweet plantain and avocado. The rice had a nice texture with some lightly crispy portions and was mildly salty. The meat inside was mostly very tender, regardless of what meat it was. This was excellent as well. The remaining dish was the Sango de Camarones, listed as a tropical dish and a purée of green plantains, slowly cooked in peanut sauce and shrimp, and topped with citrus red onions served with yellow rice and sliced avocado. The dish had a unique, almost gruel-like texture, which was a bit off-putting to some, but others like myself liked it. The shrimp inside was tender, and the dish felt a bit richer than the other mains. This was probably our least favorite main, but it was still good. We were quite full, but got some $7 Flan for dessert, which is in-house made. It wasn't overly sweet, which is my preference, and the texture was semi-soft. It was a good version, and the portion was large for the price. We liked this as well. Not many complaints here. Friendly service and good, reasonably priced food.
