We have been crazing seafood boil lately and ordered from here twice in the last few weeks. One of our fave seafood boils in queens. Been either dining in or ordering take out ever since they opened the Rego Park location. Service is always friendly and amazing either dine in or take out. Take out is super easy. Order on line and you can even accumulate points for a future discount. They also deliver for free and its pricing is better than the online ordering services. We ordered 1lb each of the shrimp with head, snow crab legs and craw fish. We love the oceanic sauce but also ordered on garlic butter with old baby cause the little one loves it. You can also pick the level of spiciness. Only drawback is, seems like there's less sauce and the sauce is very watery compared to before and my kids love dipping the seafood back in the sauce and coating their rice in the sauce. We love the mango pina colada with a kick and the virgin option is always a treat for the 21 and under. They even sent an extra drink today since they made an extra by accident. I recently did a takeout order since I was craving a lobster roll. The order for pickup online experience was smooth although you will need to pay in person. I was able to pickup relatively quickly without a long wait. The restaurant is dim and a bit loud but seemed like a good place for groups and couples. As for the lobster roll, it came with a small side of corn and a generous amount of cajun fries. The roll itself was decent with a respectable amount of lobster (more than Luke's for comparison) but I wish they went with a more traditional mayo dressing than the cajun dressing. I really wanted to enjoy this seafood boil but i didn't. The flavor was lacking and i assume they boil seafood then add the sauce so theres no flavor to the seafood. Aside from that the shrimp were well done so it felt like i was chewing forever. I may go back but i would try something other than the boil. In my opinion, this is the best seafood place in the neighborhood. They offer every kind of seafood - fried, sauteed, or boiled. You can get crawfish, shrimp, calamari, catfish, lobster, oysters, etc. It's only been around a couple of years, so the place still looks very new. There is a bar as well, so you can get any kind of beer or cocktail with your seafood. Best of all, the food here is Cajun style. I am a fan of Cajun food, so the flavors were just right for me. You can tell the waiter to adjust the spiciness accordingly. If you choose the boiled seafood, you can choose the flavor it is cooked in too such as garlic butter, lemon pepper, or spicy garlic butter. Nice Valentine's Day Dinner at Oceanic Boil. The place was very clean and the service was good. The grilled oysters were great! My wife enjoyed her Apple Martini cocktail and we loaded up on Lobster, Crab, Shrimp, and Crawfish. I did wish for more table room, as it can get a bit messy. Loved the double sinks in the back to wash your hands. We enjoyed the food and garlic butter old bay sauce on the seafood. I highly recommend. My second time eating from this seafood boil. I've been wanting to check it out as I've had takeout from here before. Of course, it is better dining in vs. eating it outside. I've tried other boil places in Queens and haven't really found one that I really like, except this one, which is on top of my list. The service is great, the bathroom is clean, there are sinks outside , which is even better, and the boil is great! There is a bar with tvs just in case you needed to know this information. Also, the boil is large enough to eat with another person. I got the combination headless shrimp with two crabs, and that was good, along with garlic noodles. I recommend this one it you like crab. The seasoning was great, too. It wasn't bland, that's for sure. All in all, I'll be returning to try a different type of boil. read more

I can here with friends because it is in my town and I have always wanted to try. I love their New Orleans fleur de lys theme. There are many options to choose from for the boils and they have great pricing. We started with the oysters, I didn't love them. They didn't taste fresh. My husband and I got the snow crab and crawfish boil. We did thoroughly enjoy it, but felt that we have had better. It came with potatoes and corn our friends got snow crab and crawfish. I decided to come here on a whim rainy weeknight after work. I heard mixed reviews about this place. When I arrived I was immediately seated and the servers were very eager to take my order. I ordered the virgin Pina colada which was very refreshing and since I wanted something small I went with the soft shell crab with fries combo which was located in their list of appetizers. The menu stated there were three pieces but I definitely had more than that so the order alone was a meal in itself for me. Food service was a bit slow but it was worth it as everything was fresh. As I try some of the new boil spots that have popped up throughout the Flushing and Queens area, I have to update my previous review to say Oceanic Boil is one of the best places to get delicious seafood in the area. They stand the test of time in terms of quality and consistency! Came for dinner with my boyfriend on a Friday night & we were seated immediately. The restaurant is COVID friendly - there's ample space between the tables and vaccination cards are checked at the door. The staff here is kind and effiicient, and they really make the dining experience! We ordered our usual (1 lb crawfish & 1 lb shrimp for me, and 2 lbs clams for my boyfriend) as well as an order of fries. Highly recommend the oceanic boil sauce, which is a perfect mix of all of the other yummy sauces. Put on your bib and gloves and dig into the garlicky & spicy goodness! spent close to $300 here on King crab, lobster and shrimp. The portion size was reasonable. The fried shrimp were OK. The seafood was unfortunately not sweet at all. the garlic sauce that they drench everything in is just not good! Cloying and didn't even taste like garlic. Completely ruined the seafood. The absolute worst thing about this and every other place that does these seafood boils is they cook, seafood, then put a ton of butter and other sauces and then put all that flaming hot food inside a huge plastic bag! Think about all the chemicals that are leeching into your food from that bag! I even asked them not to put my food in a plastic bag, and although they tried to accommodate, many of the things they couldn't do without using the plastic bag. We also ordered different appetizers such as fried oyster, fried calamari, and shrimp basket. Everything came out super fast and it was fresh! Gloves were provided. Sides we got were corn, sausages, boiled potatoes, and white rice. As for the sauces, we got garlic butter, old bay, and oceanic boil. Lobster, Crab Legs, Shrimp, Crawfish,... all the seafood is packed with flavor here. I'm not sure what exactly is in the boil broth but whatever it is, it isn't just an overbearing lump of butter or Old Bay seasoning. The best things so far have to be the lobster and crab legs which were perfectly timed. No rubbery lobster tails here. The shrimp were good sized but might be a little overcooked in the same boil bag with lobster or the crab legs. In fact the shrimp may be better served in a separate boil bags if you can. Those that are squeamish about eating shrimp that isn't deveined, this is your notice that you may have to work a little more for your food. Surprisingly, the chicken fingers and fries were pretty good. Breaded chicken breast had a thin coating, with no trace of fry oil, were accompanied with well seasoned fries. Definitely order ahead as Oceanic Boil is on Queens Blvd and there isn't much space, in your car or on foot, to wait for your order. The subway entrance nearby means there's a ton of foot traffic especially during rush hour. read more

We visited Oceanic Boil in Jackson Height many times and we love their food so much. We were super excited to know they opened up a new restaurant in the neighborhood of Rego Park. During COVID-19, delivery and pick up are currently available on their website. However, it was really difficult and unstable to use so we ended up ordering via phone. The staff was friendly, attentive and served everything quickly. My husband was double charged due to their card machine issue but how they explained was proper and patient. We had 1LB of shrimp, 1LB of mussels with oceanic boil sauce, sautéed spinach and garlic bread, same combination we ordered as in the Jackson Height location. The food was overall fresh and decent but not as delicious as what we had. We believe there must be room for improvement for a newly open restaurant and we would visit again when they operate smoothly. read more

The margaritas here are strong - even during their happy hour - and their seafood is very fresh. I started with a dozen oysters - they were good but nothing to write home about. We also ordered some seafood boils - king crab legs, shrimp, clams, and andouille sausage. The shrimp basket came with fries and it was just ok.
