I ordered some catering for 12 for an afternoon family event this past weekend and was so incredibly impressed! I literally picked this place by reviews alone and the masses did not disappoint. We did the Golden Taco Package, along with Esquites, Guacamole, Chips/Salsa, and Churros. The food arrived exactly when delivery time was scheduled. They provided serving spoons along with free tableware which was great since we were doing everything outdoors. Everyone was so incredibly complimentary of the food and how delicious it was. Delicious tacos but the ribeye quesadilla was the star of our order. It's enormous and packs a ton of flavor. A little pricey--the quesadilla was about $10 and 3 street-sized tacos were also about $10. But the quality is there and the quesadilla could easily be shared. And there are several protein choices for the tacos, including lobster. One gripe: they need to cut the ribeye meat into bite-size pieces. This is a no brainer, folks. When you bite into a quesadilla, you don't want to be ripping apart huge chunks of meat with your teeth. Solid Mexican food served fast and fresh. I'd happily order from them again. read more

They catered our birthday party for 60 people and not only was the food delicious - people kept coming up to us saying how tender and flavorful the meat was, and yummy the churros were! - but they were super accommodating with the horrible weather we had! It ended up pouring rain and they brought an extra tent to help keep our guests out of the rain. My amazement with Cali Craft started in my initial quest for a caterer. I sent some messages on Yelp and May with Cali Craft responded and from there conducted some of the best business I've ever experienced. I asked so many questions and we messaged back-and-forth so much. My family couldn't even believe she didn't get fed up with me with all the questions I was asking. Yet, May responded promptly and professionally every time, while still running her business. She usually had to write close to midnight after she was done catering all day and taking care of her kids in the evening. Business woman and great mother! I loved how Cali Craft had many different options and we were able to choose one that suited us. They can do delivery, buffet, or full on on-site making and serving. We decided to go for the buffet which works great for us. May also individualized our experience by tailoring things to suit my particular needs. I just had my baby shower over the weekend and used Cali Craft Tacos to cater it. They were one of the only companies offering an at-location taco cart for 30 guests (most companies had 50-person minimums). My parents went with my husband and I to a street fair near their business location to try the tacos. We thought they were good but a little worried at the disorganization and time it took to get the sampling of tacos. They were generous enough to give us multiple tacos so the 4 of us didn't have to share. The sampling was free of charge. After trying another business's tacos that were terrible, we decided to take a chance on Cali Craft. I was impressed that day of I got a text when they were 30 minutes out, they showed up at the quoted time. 3 ladies came to work the event and were efficient and nice to work with. The food was a hit! We had the Baja Fish Taco, Steak Taco from the Sliver menu and the Al Pastor from the Street menu. We also added on their delicious guacamole. The tablescape they set up to serve you and present the self-serve toppings on is actually really cute. They also make a sign with your menu. I was impressed that after the allotted service time concluded, they packaged up all the leftovers for us. We enjoyed the leftovers all day yesterday. The only glitch day of was that they didn't bring chips... apparently, those don't automatically come with the food or with the added on guacamole like I expected. Could have been my fault for misunderstanding, good thing we have a Vons 3 minutes away. The pricing of the tacos for the quality you get is very good. The add-on service fee for them coming to the event is hefty, but for the quality of service and food, and overall generosity of the company, I ended up thinking it was well worth it. May was so kind and communicative, making sure all my questions were answered and assuring me they could setup and keep things secret.
