Bartenders provided by URBN were atrocious, bad attitudes, disappeared for an hour when they were supposed to be tending bar and had a bad attitude when asking for ice in my drink despite purchasing 400 pounds of ice for them to use. We chose URBN for both catering and bar service, and while the food itself was very good and well-received by our guests, the overall experience working with them was extremely disappointing. Unfortunately, the experience leading up to the wedding was extremely stressful and disorganized. All communication was handled through Michael, and it was consistently difficult to reach him. Emails often went unanswered (at one point I sent four with no response), and I had to repeatedly follow up by phone just to get replies. It felt like I had to manage and chase every detail myself, which added unnecessary stress during an already busy time. A major issue arose with required venue documentation (insurance, waivers, and liquor liability forms), which our venue needed a month in advance. Despite multiple follow-ups and reassurances that it would be handled, the venue did not receive all documents until just three days before the wedding. This level of disorganization was concerning and unprofessional. Even more concerning, about two weeks before the wedding, we were told that alcohol service would be limited to five hours (ending at 9:00pm), despite our signed contract clearly stating service from 4:00-9:30pm. This was described as a company preference--not a legal requirement. We had to push back significantly to have the original contract honored, which was incredibly frustrating and should not have been necessary so close to the wedding. During this time, I was even researching alternative bartending options in case we needed to make a last-minute change. Although we ultimately secured bar service through 9:30pm, we were told that only signature cocktails would be served during the final portion of the night and that they would need to be pre-batched, despite having paid for bartending staff, and beer and wine were no longer offered during that time. On the day of the wedding, we later learned the catering team arrived 40 minutes late and asked our coordinator to shift the entire timeline to accommodate them. Thankfully, she declined and kept things on track. After the event, several guests mentioned that the bar ran out of prosecco and liquor toward the end of the night. However, we were sent home with multiple unopened bottles, which was confusing and disappointing to hear. While the food itself met expectations, the lack of communication, last-minute changes to agreed-upon services, and overall disorganization made this a very difficult vendor to work with. I would not recommend them, as the added stress was not worth it - I would never want another bride to deal with what we went through. read more

We hired URBN catering for our recent work event and I am so happy I chose them over a few other caterers I was talking to. The event was for our operations managers retirement and she is a huge pizza fan. I wasn't expecting them to show up with a pizza truck and everything, it was so cool. Everyone loved watching them cook the pizzas, people were taking photos and posting them to social media, it really got everyone excited. Usually our work events are pretty boring so seeing everyone lively was a nice change. The pizza tasted delicious, I love my pizza nice and crispy and this was just how I like it. Best part is that my operations manager said it was some of the best pizza she ever had. It was a great send off for one of our longest tenured employees. We booked them for a corporate event when our other prospect fell through last minute. We requested through the catering manager Michael to push the service time back 30 minutes. He said that would be fine, but the crew serving on the day was apparently not made aware of that change. They also did not bring the 20 gluten free crusts we ordered specifically. I had confirmed that on the phone with Michael and hand wrote the note on the catering agreement, I'm not sure if they just forgot or didn't get the memo, but several of our GF guests were left with nothing they could eat. And finally, we'd paid for a service time from 7:30 - 10:30, but the truck apparently just up and left at 9:45 without contacting anyone from our team. They said it was an all you can eat service, I'm not sure if they ran out of ingredients (ill-prepared) or just didn't feel like sticking around. Even if they had been operating under the former service time before the change, it would still have been too early. I have reached out to Michael about this, he responded that he would look into it, but I have not heard from him since, despite having called and left a voicemail. The pizza was yummy but I can not recommend them, as they don't seem to be very on top of the ball, and I wouldn't trust them to stay the entirety of your event. read more

Ok..if I could give them 10 stars I would. And if they need to drive with their feet out the window in order to delight my tastebuds with their delish food I'll give them that! (From another's negative review). This truck is at Alesmith every Friday night, and we've also had their food at a catered party. The menu is a shortened version of the URBN brick-n-mortar, and in my experience, the food straight from the truck far surpasses the traditional restaurant. Our go to is always the mashed potato pizza and chicken wings. Don't let the weirdness of the mashed potato pizza name turn you away...it's heavenly. Hard to explain in words but not a single person I've recommended it to hasn't come back and thanked me for the suggestion. Chicken wings are perfectly cooked with just the right amount of sauce. The It's meaty pizza is also fantastic as well as the spicy honey pepperoni. Shoot..all their food is great. Service is amazing. Your meal is prepped and cooked right in front of you in the wood fire stove on the back of their truck. The result is impeccably fresh and perfectly cooked pizzas. Crust is awesomely thin and crispy on edges. The crew loved what they do and it shows in their smiles and friendly spirit. We recommend URBN anytime we hear someone looking for a caterer, and look forward to Friday outings at Alesmith weekly! read more

Cannot recommend this catering service enough! We worked with Michael who was kind enough to provide a variety of options to fit our needs and our budget. He was super open to adjusting the menu to what would fit our event best. The truck came to set up about an hour before service time, and were efficient in getting everything ready. For about 100 people, the team brought enough food to feed everyone comfortably! There were 5 different specialty pizzas to choose from, along with vegan and gluten free options, and an appetizer and dessert. The team was constantly making fresh pizzas, and would even take special requests to make some individual pies. Our guests were so impressed with the wood-fired oven in the truck and the constant fresh, hot pizza being made. OMG this was the second time we used URBN catering. The first was two years ago for my son's retirement from the Navy and last Saturday for a memorial for a good friend of ours. Let me tell you, URBN has every other catering company beat hands down. The food was fabulous and the service impeccable ! Our guests were so impressed with the delicious handmade pizzas, salads, open bar, and cannolis....and they couldn't get over the excellent service staff. While I was really excited about the idea of a pizza truck, their lack of professionalism and customer service is a red flag that you should not ignore. It took nearly three weeks of emails, phone tag, and repeating the same information that was in my initial email to get a proposal from URBN catering. Then, after sending corrections, it took another three weeks for Michael to respond to my email and ask if I had any corrections. It was clear that he didn't bother to read my email and neither he nor Jack had written down any of the information from our calls or read my other emails. While it's been about six weeks, three phone calls, and half a dozen emails since I first reached out to URBN catering, I was able to sign a contract with another caterer in less than a week. read more

Typically URBN except the crunchy (some call it burnt) crusts are created with real wood instead of the coal-fired process of the brick and mortar stores. Still great pizza. Great staff (Spencer) making and creating right from the truck. Today was serving about 40 persons and made for a great environment to be eating pizza out on the lawn (turf). We have hired URBN for a couple corporate events, the first event went great, the second event, we had a terrible experience working with Michael.   As an event planner, our client had a few date and time changes with plenty of notice (over 3 months notice) which can be frustrating, but all within the normal catering and event business, but seems to be difficult for URBN Catering to handle. We had a few unanswered emails confirming event details a couple weeks prior to the event, so I called to follow up the week for the event.  The first response I received was "oh yeah, I have gotten a lot of emails from you..." (not a great start).  Second response was "can we expect to only get one event a year from you?" (very shocking response). This company lacks communication and is arrogant.  The lack of booking professionalism received was a little unreal and completely unexpected based on the previous event we had them do.    I absolutely DO NOT recommend working with them. read more

Where do I begin?!? Michael, from the corporate office, was on the phone and emailed us multiple times as we planned the perfect catering experience for our son and daughter-in-law's wedding reception at our home. He was instrumental in making sure everything was just right for their special night. When the URBN truck pulled into our driveway and fired up the pizza oven I knew we were in for a treat. Joe & Mikey made sure everything was set up just as we envisioned. This was no ordinary pizza experience! Our menu included incredible appetizers featuring a beautiful Charcuterie Board, Caprese Skewers, and delicious Tuscan Bean Crostini. For dinner we enjoyed an array of delicious entrees! The URBN Salad was a hit, the incredible Wood Fired Pizza kept coming all night, the Cedar Plank Wood Oven Roasted Salmon was out of this world, complimented by the Wood Oven Roasted Chicken Wings (WOW!) and rounded out with delicious Brussel Sprouts. The homemade Canoli was a perfect dessert! Joe ran the show like a pro, checking in with us throughout the evening to make sure everything was going as planned. Our answer was always..." YES!!! Update: we did reach out to URBN. The complaints apparently fell on deaf ears, even though some of the complaints were confirmed and acknowledged by the company, as they stopped reaching out to us. Pro: the pizza was excellent Cons: we had many issues with the service provided (or not provided) during my sister's wedding. When we hired URBN to cater the wedding, we were told that we would be provided 2 bussers to clear tables for us. No one ever bussed tables, and my family and I did it ourselves. Our contract was for 180 people to be provided appetizers, dinner, and dessert. We ended up having approximately 160-170 people. Even with less than our contract was for, we ran out of appetizers and desserts extremely quickly and many guests stated that they didn't get either. The actual staff that we DID interact with during the event were extremely rude. When it was time for dinner and tables were lining up for food, none of the pizzas were ready. Instead, the staff were putting out dessert which upset the bride. When I mentioned it to one of the ladies setting it up, she rudely stated that they were putting it out because the wedding was running behind. At that point, they were still contracted to be there for at least another hour and a half before we would have run into any time overage. It also didn't make any sense to us that they were complaining about time and putting dessert out when dinner was not even ready on their end and caused a huge table backup. It took three people mentioning this to them before the put the dessert away, and at that point the food still wasn't ready. During the contract process, my sister (the bride) also asked if the cheese on the salad she wanted served could be changed due to many people not liking blue cheese. The person working with her refused multiple times, stating that's how they make their "signature salad" and everyone loves it that way. As someone being contracted and paid a lot of money for a service, it was shocking that they refused without having a good reason to do so. Instead, they made both a regular version and a "non-dairy" version. As a result, the "non-dairy" version of the salad provided ran out extremely quickly and they did not refill it enough. Their staff was also stealing hard seltzers and having wedding guests take shots with them to the point that the bar told me the catering staff was drunk. My sister also stated that her overall experience organizing a contract with URBN for her wedding was "very good food, horrible and rude staff". read more

Plus they are reasonably priced!!!! They did food and drinks for me and everyone said how wonderful it all was. I think a number of guests took their contact info. We had URBN catering come to a private party of about 25 people last night. We had contracted for pizza, salad and cannolis. I talked to Michael extensively about the cannolis beforehand and they were just as delicious as I had hoped. The crew of John and George were fantastic at our event! They kept serving up hot and tasty pizzas (lots of different varieties) and making sure the salad was well stocked. They even asked me if anyone had any special food needs (vegan, no nuts etc) because they had brought special salad mix in case modifications needed to be made on the fly. (They made me a Gorgonzola free salad). Customer service was top notch from John and George and people kept telling us that the food was a hit! At the end of the event we had a lot of pizza left over and they brought us boxes so that our guests could take some of the goodness home. The crew shows to the wedding venue in dirty t-shirts and tennis shoes. They could not keep the buffer filled and let items sit empty when they had backups. The pizza was marginal at best and the owners just mailed this one in. Do NOT use these guys for a nice event.... You'll be disappointed. Just no. They were advertised to be at alesmith brewery from 12-7. We decided to go because we were hungry and wanted a beer. We got there at 2:20 and they said they wouldn't be ready at 3. We decided to stay. Then at 3 they said 3:15. At 3:15 they said 30 more minutes. And yet we stayed. At 3:45 we ordered wings and a meaty pizza. After receiving our food, I went back and asked for the ranch dressing that was on the menu. They proceeded to say they didn't have any, even though I watched three of them watch a fire for over an hour. Then we got our "meaty" pizza. Literally one slice had one peperoni, one piece of sausage and one piece of bacon. Needless to say, we won't be back. Go to Societe everyone with their amazing taco truck and beer. read more

We had URBN cater our wedding reception -- we loved the idea of having hot pizzas, fresh from the oven, come out for our guests. Turns out our guests loved it too! The pizza truck parked on the street and the URBN team setup buffet tables to serve the five pizzas we chose and salad. While the pizza was delicious, the team struggled to keep pizzas coming out of the oven regularly leaving guests standing and waiting at the buffet table for pizzas to be replenished or for their desired pizza to come out. Also beware of how much pizza you are ordering. When I spoke to the catering manager over the phone, he talked about "unlimited pizzas" -- that they would make as many pizzas as people wanted. While it's unreasonable to assume we would truly get an unlimited amount of pizza, we did think it was terrific that URBN would provide as many pizzas as our guests desired. That turned out not to be true. While everyone was able to grab some pizza from the buffet, those who wanted a third slice or more (keep in mind these are smaller slices) were out of luck. The truck ran out of pizza dough (they brought 90 pizza doughs for a guest count of 150 people. That's ~3 slices per person on average (the pizzas were sliced into six slices). Also note that communicating with the catering manager can take some time -- he's not as responsive as you'd want him to be. Allyson was incredibly easy to work with and quick to respond through multiple postponements from the start of planning our wedding in early 2019 to finally celebrating July 3, 2022. UBRN catered my wedding in June 2023 at Lot8 and we had a great experience! The staff were super kind and accommodating (for allergies, for example). They also made a special pepperoni pizza for me (my favorite) though it wasn't part of our selected menu, and left it at the sweetheart table for me to eat when I could steal a few bites. All of the leftover pizza was packaged up in to-go boxes for our guests to take on their way home. Everyone spoke highly of the pizza and the meatball appetizer, in particular! read more
