You don't meet to many mechanics like Marcos (the shop owner) he doesn't try and squeeze every dollar from you or try and rip you off at all. He's a genuinely honest and nice guy. He's probably the cheapest mechanic out there and I think if you find somewhere cheaper they even will price match! If your looking for a mechanic who isn't worried about trying to rip people off then come here! I've been going here for years, and Just like you I was skeptical at first. I asked for a quote from them when my car broke down and just to see if they were truly honest I shipped around at other places and sure enough they were not only the cheapest but they do amazing work EVERY TIME. HORRIBLE! so according to these guys, my front driver's rim was bent, so i left it at their shop to fix on saturday. They gave me their word that it's going to be done the following Tuesday. I called them asking if i can pick it up on tuesday, and they told me to come in an hour and it'll be ready. I got there and guess what, apparently my wheel was at a different location being fixed (they didn't even tell me that), and their "guy" is stuck in traffic and won't make it to their shop in time before they closed. They told me to come back tomorrow (wednesday) to pick it up. Ok that's fine, i called them wednesday to ask if my wheel's ready to be picked up. The same guy who was taking care of my service said he'll call and check for me. I waited over and hour for a callback...NOPE. SO i had to be annoying and call again and ask, and his excuse was he got a wrong number so he couldn't call me back, i GAVE him my number earlier, AND i got a receipt from this guy that has my number printed CORRECTLY on it!!! And so...my wheel has ran into "certain complications" and my wheel was more bent than it was. -_-'...so i told him...."you told me LAST saturday, that my wheel would be done tuesday, but i couldnt pick it up because your 'guy' is stuck in traffic (assuming that its done thats why i could go pick it up right?), and NOW that it's the next day, you're telling me its not done? why didnt you just tell me yesterday that it wasnt done, instead of saying your fellow friend is stuck in traffic? so when am i gonna get my wheel?" ....and this guy replies "tomorrow morning." ...COME ON! is that even a trustworthy service?! i got a busy schedule! i have to leave town "tomorrow morning" (Thursday) YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME DUDE! i dont even think my wheel is THAT bent! DONT COME HERE! ITS HORRIBLE. They pretty much make up bullsh*t to you as a customer, make more bs and give you a wrong estimate of time, and when it's wrong, they'll try to cover it up with MORE b.s.! The only reason WHY i went here it's because there's no other place that was open on saturday! And i needed my wheel/tire to be fixed BY thursday. If a "pro" claims that the wheel is bent, of course i want it fixed for my own safety, but this shop is a FAIL! read more

This was my first time coming here for a smog check. I was REQUIRED by the DMV to use a STAR station. Apparently this meets a higher performance standard established by the Bureau of Automotive Repair. Be aware that not all smog stations are STAR certified. Eddie took care of my truck and I was in and out with a PASS in less than 15 minutes. Cost was $50 which is a little more than a normal smog cert. Great service and I highly recommend if you need to go to a STAR station. read more

I woke up to a flat tire and had an appointment scheduled at 9am. First, I tried to go to Bud's Tire and Wheels in moreno valley. I got there around 8:15 and they told me it would be around $25. I knew that was kind of pricey, but in my situation I decided to go with it. I waited patiently until 8:45am, however, they still haven't began working on my car. I decided to leave without getting it fixed to get to my appointment on time. Afterwards, I came here. I was glad to be confronted with such quick service. It took about 20 mins max. and he was able to give my tire a temporary fix for FREE. After the morning I've been through, he was a godsend. read more

They also checked my car and told me what other stuff was necessary and what things I can wait a little more on. I bought a used boat in Canyon Lake and was on my way home with it when one of the tires failed. I called Cali Street Tires, and Eddie ordered me some trailer tires. I put on the spare, and near University Ave the spare failed. I was several blocks from Cali Street Tires, but the Mobil Station manager near the freeway allowed me to park the boat and trailer there while i took the bad tires to Cali. In no time at all they had my new tires on the rims, and I bought an extra tire to replace the other side because I knew that its sidewall would eventually fail, too. I had a lot of things to do that day, and Cali Street Tires really saved my bacon for a good price. I had a similar situation with my GMC Yukon years earlier, and Cali rescued me for a great price then as well. They tend to be pretty busy, but good places generally are. You will get your money's worth with this fine, honest crew! read more

Last year I had new tires mounted on my car from Cali Streets Tires. The service was good, and Marco was very friendly. I was told that the tires needed to be ordered, and the tires would be there in the afternoon. I called to see if they received the tires, and they told they received the tires. When I got there, the tires were not there. I had to come back another day. I know mistakes happen, however I just recommend this shop to my brother, and the same thing happened to him. My brother told me that he paid in advance on Tuesday, and they told him that they had received the tires. This time it was the wrong tires. My brother was told that the tires will be arriving in 10 minutes, well 40 minutes later the tires arrived. Even after the tires had gotten there, the technicians were too busy talking to each other to start working on the car. Also they recommend to buy the Falken tires, because it comes with a free rotation, rebalance, air inflation, and flat repairs for the life of the tires, however on the receipt, it shows a charge of $95.00. So it's really not free. They told my brother the same thing, and charged him a $67.00 fee. read more

Don't go here!!! I brought my car in for a basic oil change brought it in at 9 am and they told me it was going to take 2 hours I said ok I came back 3 hours later and my car had not even been touched. I asked them what was going on and they said sorry it was still going to take an additional hour. This is the second time they have done this to us. The first time my husband wanted to get a tire changed (1tire) and were told it would be an hour... We left to eat and came back and still had not touched the tire... Again were told it would be an additional hour!!! Don't go here unless you have time to waste and like being lied to!!! read more

I originally gave 3 stars and would have bumped it to 4 because the manager contacted me, however I emailed him right away and never heard back. Also, another update is they told me my brakes needed to be done and if I waited too long they would mess up the rotors. Last week I went to the brake shop and they took off the old brake and held it next to the new brake and couldn't tell the difference. They said I easily had another year or 2 before they needed to be done. So that is officially 2 HUGE lies from Cali streets which cancels out the good "customer service" I originally stated. I am soo glad I didn't have them do the work or me after all because they basically would have gotten free money. Luckily neither of the 2 shops I went to charged me for labor since nothing needed to be changed, but I had already bought the parts so I'm out of money there. It's hard to find honest and trustworthy people nowadays and I'm glad to have found this place. My wife and I have been going here since we moved to riverside 6yrs ago and they're the only one we trust when it comes to good value and service for our tires and brakes. I went to my car's dealership for my 30,000 miles service and oil change last month. they also told me that my brake pads were running low about 30% left and that I needed to have it replaced soon. So I went to Marco today to have my brake pads replaced, cause they have a better value compared to the dealership. After inspecting it, he told me that I didn't need to replace it because they were still about 50% and he took me to my car and showed it to me. He could've just replaced it without me knowing it and got the money but instead he didn't because he values me as a customer. That's when you know that this is a good business place you can trust, just the honesty alone which I highly value besides time, especially in this kind of business truly deserves my ! I will be going here for my other car services from now on. Marco and his crew treated me right and has gone the extra mile for me ever since he earned my business, and I will bet he's going to do the same to every other customer as well. Marco will definitely take care of you like he did to me. Btw, this is my first review for Yelp and I don't usually take the time to review stuff cause I don't have much time to spare. I went to the Hole Ave location in many ocassions. Oil change, Flat repair, engine light check etc, nothing major/expensive. One day decided to purchase a set of 4 tires and I was happy with the price ($300.00 ) After one year I came back to repair one flat tire and the worker told me "Hey your tire is not good anymore" I said ok no problem, I purchased it here and It is under warranty. He said well, I think it's still good. After a couple of months I came back with the warranty (receipt) and they told me the warranty was almost to the end and they offer me a 25% discount for a new set of tires. I purchased only 2 tires this time. In July 2012 I had an accident in my van, my car was hit on the front and rear at the same time. A couple of days after the accident, my car started overheating and leaking coolant. I went again to this shop. Luis told me to leave the car for inspection and when he called me, he told me that the motor was leaking (HE DID NOT EVEN KNEW FROM WHERE BUT HE SUSPECTED THE PREVIOUS HEAD GASKEK JOB WAS NOT DONE CORRECTLY) and there was only one possible fix to that: A MAGIC SEALER ($60.00). + MANIFOLD GASKET REPLACEMENT (more than $500) Well, I accepted the MAGICAL REPAIR because he told me there was a chance it will fix my car and save me a lot of money. After almost 3 weeks I received my car back and.... ...It was ECXACTLY in the same mechanical condition: OVERHEATING, LEAKING COOLANT. OF COURSE I went back and talked to Luis again, and he said: " that is because the MAGIC SEALER DID NOT WORK" You only have the option of purchase a "rebuilt" motor ( $1,700). IF YOU THING YOU'VE HEARD ENOUGH LET ME TELL YOU THIS: I call my particular mechanic who did a head gasket job BEFORE and I asked him to check tha gasket he put before . (CALI STREET TIRES suspected he did not used a good quality gasket) When he came to my house and when he saw the hit on the front of my car, he open the motor hood and he looked for internal demages (SINCE MY CAR WAS HIT IN THE FRONT AND THE BACK AT THE SAME TIME) OH SURPRISE .........The cylinder HEAD was CRACKED just in the same direction where the car was hit on the front. CALI STREET TIRES did not even realized of this and they even DID THE MANIFOLD JOB with the cylinder head cracked. I had to pay another $900.00 to my mechanic for repairing the HEADS. of COUSRE I TALKED TO LUIS (CALI STREET TIRES HOLE AVE LOCATION) and he offered to "refix" the problem if any but Why SHOULD I TRUST ON HIM? WHY SHOULD I HAVE TO WAIT for another 3 weeks? I really neede my car and I paid my mechanic this time anddecided not to come back to that shop. read more

Just swung into Cali Streets Tires after I noticed my tire was low and needed nitrogen. Marco was a huge help and provided amazing service. He discovered a nail in the tire (that unfortunately was in a location that made it non-repairable), quickly put on the spare tire, and gave me a really reasonable price quote for a replacement, all in time for me to get back to work before my lunch break was over!
