On three occasions I have received the most horrible customer service and I think the woman is a manager. I order like 6 of the birria tacos and ask if I can have 1 slice of lime for each and I ask for extra onions/cilantro on the side. This woman with as much anger she can display has yelled at me every time telling me there is a charge for extra lime/onions/and cilantro. The first two times I paid it. The third time she was just making up prices that didn't match what she charged me before. Then I asked for two more of the little salsa's and she said 2 dollars!!! I got mad this time and told her give me the bottle and she said get it from a guest table. And that is exactly what I did. I went to a guest's table and poured my salsa on there. Now what ticks me off is that this location is closer than the one in Chandler, which is 50 mins from my home. Now that location has the better tasting food and hands down the best customer service. I was eating there once a week and they quickly knew me by name. I called to complain, but didn't get anywhere... so I'm writing now, because I'm hungry and want Cali's but don't feel like putting up with her attitude. So I'm going to have to settle on the new Backyard Tacos in Laveen... they are not as good, but at least I wont get told off over buying food! read more

However they fell VERY FLAT on my order of wings that I specially requested HOT ( 6 count HOT ) and let me say this they come with fries . The Fries were extremely soggy, cold and undercooked . My Wings that I has been craving were also Undercook, NO SAUCE on them at all, Wings were DRY as well. , WTF Cali's Tacos . I wish I knew who made my food because eating undercooked food can absolutely make you sick, sometimes with very serious consequences. The risk comes from harmful bacteria and parasites, which are killed when food is cooked thoroughly to a safe internal temperature . Think about that the next time you serve one of your customers . The food is okay, but truly their customer service (specifically for online orders) is very poor. We ordered via uber eats for pickup - our estimated time was 20 minutes. We arrived promptly and noticed they were busy so we didn't mind waiting a bit longer. At around 40ish minutes of waiting (an hour after we placed our order), I told the worker by the "pickup orders" that we had an online order & wondering if it was almost ready considering we have been waiting for almost an hour. He told me he was aware and that they were behind & we were 6th in line. As I waited, I saw the cashier put all other order tickets (from people who had ordered at the restaurant) in front of all the pickup orders. This meant that our ticket order was getting further from being looked at. We asked the workers a handful of times about an update on our order and they kept telling us we were X number in line (that changed every time). We received our food almost 2 hours after we had placed our order. Another person also said he had been waiting for almost 2 hours as well. I was looking forward to a new taco spot, but I won't be returning :( read more
