After years of coming to was once, one of my favorite places, I am very disappointed. First off, they have increased Angel Burrito price to whopping 19.55! But main issue today was the customer service I received. There was 2 ladies at counter and both appeared to be lost since my order was sitting on counter for 10mins even after I asked they said that order was being worked on just to find out that 5 mins later. I came here after seeing it on Instagram reels and had to try out their ginormous burritos. Online, they are marketed as being extremely large and difficult to finish, but it is definitely doable to eat a whole burrito on your own if you are hungry. They are not that much bigger than burritos anywhere else. There is a decent seating area. I loved their salsa bar and found everything to be delicious. Their salsa verde featured a wonderful kick of heat. We did wait a significant amount of time for our order but appreciated that everything was fresh. The restaurant seems to be pretty popular as well. The drink selection was a bit disappointing. We would have loved to have tasted some house-made horchata and wish we had been told that we would be filling our horchata up at the soda fountain before we ordered it. The Cali burrito itself was absolutely divine. It was perfectly balanced and everything that was supposed to be crispy inside was crispy and didn't become soggy even twenty minutes after receiving our order. This place is alright at best, the food is extremely greasy and I'm not the biggest fan of them using yellow cheese for their quesadillas. Big portions, which kinda justify the price, but even then it isn't the best. The cashier girl was rude when I picked up my order. She was faced away from me, packing my food and mumbling something and I couldn't hear her. I saw her roll her eyes before she proceeded to say my name out loud in an annoyed tone to get my attention and then ask me if I wanted their cali sauce (which I specifically said I wanted 3 over the phone when I ordered). Service is pretty good, I've read some startling experiences is other reviews so this shocked me. The food was amazing, Love their breakfast burritos, the sausage and bacon is incredible. The soda station and pretty much all the inside space feels very dumpy and dirty. The drink station was pretty gross tbh. 6 years after my first review and my first time back trying that delicious FISH BURRITO again and it still hits so hard!!! $10.99 for a giant fish burrito that is packed with battered fish from end to end.. literally from the first bite to the last, there was fish instead of a bunch of fillers like cabbage at other places. I took my friend from Germany here last night and he hasn't stopped talking about that fish burrito. In fact, I introduced Cali Tacos to a friend visiting from Australia several months ago and he wanted to drive down from LA to get a fish burrito before his flight home out of LAX haha! Service is still on point! Great customer service from everyone! But why is there no way for customers to leave a tip?? That just goes to show that the owners probably take care of their employees and pay a livable wage. Last night, the horchata machine was out of syrup so I notified one of the employees and he was quick to switch it out and was even grateful that I notified him! A hole-in-the-wall fast Mexican food place that specializes in deep fried rolled tacos - or what we'd normally call a Tacquito. I was not impressed with Cali Tacos and frankly confused by the high yelp ratings. First, in terms of the location, it's beyond sketchy. Located in a tiny strip mall, there's hardly any parking, and the cleanliness of the restaurant and outdoor seating leaves a lot to be desired. I was very pleased with the value of the food. With prices being what they are these days, 3 tacos for $6 is a great value. So I went for that option. When I got the tray of three tacos, I was a bit disappointed. The tacos come smothered in guac and shredded cheese, which may sound like a good thing but their guac seems very sub par. Not fresh, and with a liquidy consistency. And the amount they pour on makes the tacos difficult to eat. Just overdoing it. The tacos themselves were overly greasy, and not in a good way. They seem overcooked, beyond a nice golden brown, and in oil that tastes like it should have been changed several shifts ago. Personally this was a miss for me. read more

I decided to phone in my order and got the California burrito. The burrito is huge, could probably be split between two people. Make sure to get their Cali sauce! Used to go here a lot when I had family living in the apartment complex behind this building. A few years ago this place went viral for their giant burritos, and ever since this place is never without a lengthy wait. The last few times I've been here, there's always been at least 10 people ahead of me. Based on my experience, the consistency in quality has also dropped with the increased demand. I usually get the cali fries or a variation of it, and there's been more than one occasion where the meat or fries were not fully cooked, likely because of how many orders they have to push out for such a small kitchen. When I'm willing to wait for it, this is one of my favorite spots for carne asada fries. Their signature cali sauce and use of different cheeses makes their fries unique & more aesthetically pleasing than the Mexican fast food spots around the area. I've also had their tacos and burritos, which are both larger than average. They used to have a nice self-serve salsa bar here but I haven't seen it being used since quarantine. Hope it comes back soon. I think this place deserves more than 3 stars, but I wouldn't really go out of my way to get it anymore. I recommend calling in your order to reduce the wait time. read more

This was the second time I had Cali Tacos. The first time my brother got me a fish taco which was huge and delicious. The second time his fiance wanted Cali Tacos so he offered to pick me up some. I ordered the Cali Fries with carne asada and a fish burrito. The fries were a bit cold but ok however they did put a lot of meat on top which was cooked to perfection. Along with sour cream and guacamole the Cali Fries are now my favorite. The fish burrito was ok nothing about it stood out except there was too much cabbage for me. My brother ordered two burrito supremes with carne asada for him and his fiance. They enjoyed them and recommend it. I will return to try their breakfast burritos. I came here today because as always the food here is good and they have the sauce bar all filled up and ready to go. The only issue about this place is the associate working there and her name is Amanda. Whenever I go there she always seems to be in a bad mood or annoyed with my business. I thought to myself maybe she wasn't having a good day but I have been there many times and I always see Amanda there but she doesn't seem to be happy when she sees me. One time when I wanted to get napkins and utensils because she forgot to give it to me, she hand it over but gave me a disappointment look like I did something to her. Hubby sends me a million reels on Instagram, but the one of a burrito big as a baby had me paying attention. I hit the save button real quick. Me and my daughter happened to be in the LA area, so we decided to check it out, see if the hype was worth the few hour drive. Well are happy to report, drive from wherever because the burritos are amazing and I ordered a few to bring home and they were still good that night and the next day! I got the taquitos (3 rolled tacos) and no lie the best of my life!!! The meat was so fresh, juicy and flavorful, then they top with guacamole, cheddar cheese and cotija cheese. I took those down so quickly. I will be back! New spot whenever we come to Disneyland!!! It's only 3 miles away!!! read more

I didn't take pics cause we had it delivered and I was super hungry but the portions are insane. Basically what everyone else posts on here. Just know that the Uber eats app doesn't have the entire menu and you really do need to select everything you need like utensils and napkins. The food had options to add salsa but it didn't specify what you wanted if it was inside or outside of the food, just know if you select the salsa it will be for outside the food. All in all the food was good. A bit expensive on Uber eats but I mean what isn't, lol. Would order here again but maybe pick it up or actually dine in. read more

I have been coming here for yeaars. It is very sad to see their downfall. Their food was legitimately one of my favorite foods however, over the years the quality of customer service has declined while their prices continue to increase. They used to have bottles of their cali sauce out to use but now I have to practically beg to be given any. I can understand, to an extent, the increase in prices however when paying for an almost $20 burrito... being stingy with the sauce is comedic! Especially considering it's what many come to get. Leonardo, the cashier who took our order was rude and failed to call out our number, leaving us waiting an extra 15 minutes we didn't need to. Additionally, he began to argue about leaving our food waiting and the amount of sauce we could have. I used to enjoy sitting down and eating there. Trying this place for the first time after seeing their limited time birria Cali burrito - it had me hooked to commute in traffic to and back Placed the order over the phone Located in small parking lot next to a bakery Outdoor seating available Cashier who assisted was not wearing a mask or gloves but there is a plastic shield between you and the cashier Pleasant and provided details in what was in the birria Cali burrito (birria jack cheese cilantro onions fire chips fries) with fried cheese wrapped around the burrito on the outside and comes with a cup of consommé For $11.31 and part it going to charity - I wasn't super impressed..? Some bites were good, some the birria was tough pending how the meat was packed. Dipping it into the consommé, I felt I was dipping it in to a cup of grease and it did not add additional flavor. I've had consommé elsewhere where it was drinkable comforting and this one I would not repurpose or drink out directly. I added some of the "spicy Mayo chipotle" sauce to the burrito and it brought out some of the flavors. Also super stuffed with thin french fries which I love fries but where the meat and cilantro and onion to balance out all the cheese and potato ..? Definitely plenty of cheese in it that may have overshadowed the other flavors ..? Don't think I will get this again but glad part of it is going to charity - maybe will return to try the other ones. read more

I first knew about this place from a viral video about their huge Angel Burrito. This place gets pretty busy, so I'd recommend calling in and placing your order in advance. They have an outdoor area where you can eat your food, but it's probably where most people are waiting for their order since the indoor area is quite small. Overall, it's a great place to satisfy my burrito or carne asada nachos/fries cravings. || L O C A T I O N / P A R K I N G || -Cross Streets are Main St. & W. Chapman Ave. -Shared parking lot with Spiga's Bakery & Cafe, Domino's & Cricket Wireless -Can be crowded at times, try to avoid going during peak hours since the lot is fairly small || F O O D || Angel Burrito - Burrito consists of your choice of meat, shrimp, fries along with the usual beans, rice & guacamole. Sometimes I do find that the shrimp layered in the burrito is not consistent and even, so that may be an issue for some people. I've never ordered one just for myself just because I do feel like it's better when it's consumed fresh. It's shareable and one angel burrito alone can be split 2-3 portions depending on your appetite. Usually I'm able to barely finish half of a burrito, but then again I do have a bigger appetite. Make sure to ask for their Cali sauce which is like a spicy mayo sauce that pairs extremely well with the burrito. It adds a little more flavor and spicy kick to it. Supreme Chips - Choice of chips or fries, choice of meat topped with guacamole, cheese, sour cream, pico & beans. I opted for the chips since I felt like it could sustain its crispiness during the drive back home. It's generously loaded with toppings . First time trying it today. I got the Angel Burrito with carne asada and it was pretty good. The only thing though is I think it needed more guacamole and sour cream in it. My wife got the Cali burrito with carne asada. She said it was good but her thing was the fries in the burrito tasted old. She said the taste of the old fries were noticeable. She also got an horchata which she thought was ok (it's the AM/PM one). The service was good. The workers were very friendly and helpful. I informed the worker that the horchata bag needed to be changed and she changed it with no problem and made sure I was satisfied with the taste before brining it outside to my wife. I would come back again if I'm in the area. Btw the Angel Burrito was massive. The same size as my forearm. read more
