Wish they had two things: gluten free pastries and a sign on the building exterior. Now for the important bit: coffee was great. Seems to be a local favorite spot. For reference I ordered a smoothie and the avocado toast. Their smoothies are a bit sweet for me but I think the sweetness (agave syrup) can be adjusted upon request. The bread for the avocado toast tasted homemade. Ordered eggs as the topper to the avocado toast but requested them on the side which was no problem. Items were separately boxed which was nice as well. read more

I've been coming here weekly to work on my laptop since moving to Nashville 6 months ago. Within a few months, the employees started to recognize me & remember my name, which made me feel very welcome (especially after moving here from a small town). Yesterday a family of four sat beside me and their toddler accidentally knocked over my coffee (no harm, no foul). I went to get napkins and the owner (I think) was already on the way with a towel. He proceeded to clean it up & the family asked them to put a new coffee for me on their order. Instead, they gave me a new coffee for free (didn't charge me or the family), and treated the family with a ton of kindness and respect. TLDR: this is a great spot whether you're a solo worker or a family with young kids. The menu specials change with the seasons but they have great food all of the time, and the drip coffee & lattes are amazing. read more

I have no idea why it took me so long to visit because this place is amazing! Endless coffee combinations. The first visit I got Sweater Weather I think it was and it was DELICIOUS! While waiting for my drink I saw they had sugar free flavors so my second visit I got a sugar free coconut vanilla latte and it's now my fave. I've also gotten the Totes m'goat toast which was funky but in the best way. I added hot honey to it and it made it too hot, the pepper jelly is just right! I've also got the avocado toast with goat cheese and it was simple yet filling. The atmosphere and decor is clean, hip and peaceful. Very Hip D! Used to love this place and the friendly, lovely people who work here. I live in the neighborhood and come here a few times a week, but after my experience today I don't think I'll be back for a while. Came through the drive through this morning and ordered a latte. The woman in the window took my money, asked if I wanted to leave a tip (I always do), then shut the window in my face after I'd signed the keypad. A few minutes later she handed me an iced coffee through the window -- I said "oh, I'm so sorry, I wanted a hot latte" (which is what I'd originally ordered)... she rolled her eyes at me, turned around without saying anything, and a few minutes later marched back to the window with the hot latte ... which she shoved into my hand so hard the foam shot out the top and all over me, burning my hand and arm. I didn't get a chance to thank her for the drink or ask for napkins because she turned around and shut the window, again, in my face. I had to wait and wave my arms in the window until someone saw to hand me a napkin. At no point did the woman apologize, smile, say anything nice, or even acknowledge me beyond taking me money and huffing. It really seemed like she was angry at my presence. I've worked in service a long time-- I always tip, and I'm usually pretty empathetic to people having a rough day and/or dealing with rude customers. But all I did was I order a normal drink, leave a tip, apologize to HER when she got my order wrong, and ask for a napkin. I left feeling like I'd done something wrong to deserve her anger. Not how I like to start my day. That being said, in the past I've had wonderful experiences here and felt really good about supporting the place and the people who work here. Really nice cafe with good service, seems like a lot of locals come here. The people who work here are really chill and friendly. The coffee shop also sells products from local vendors, which is nice. There's a little board where you can buy and place a coffee sleeve for someone and write a characteristic of a person you bought the cup for (i.e. new mom, first responder, someone named Beth), and anyone who fits that characteristic can get a free drink. Small thing, but really thoughtful. I got their best seller latte -- the butterbeer latte -- and thought it was really good. It tasted kind of like caramel/butterscotch. I also got some chocolate chip and white chocolate+macadamia nut cookies, which were honestly some of the best cookies I've ever had. As a plus, they sell reusable stainless steel straws at the counter, which I really love! Free Wi-Fi, and laptop friendly too. read more

First time... Stopped in around 3pm before a gig. Got a simple dark roast straight-up. Bitter cup sadly... that's always a sign the equipment isn't being cleaned often/properly enough. Coffee beans contain oils which go rancid rather quickly. Gotta clean carafes and containers regularly. Service was good.. but it's pretty easy to serve up a black cup of coffee read more

Consistently delicious! Every latte we've had is exceptional, and The avocado toast is where it's at! It's huge! We add bacon, goat cheese and egg - it's a must have! We get our 5 year old the Sammy- she loves it. My husband and I have eaten our way through the menu and everything has been yummy. Good service. We get our food and drink relatively quickly. You can order online, go in directly or order through drive through. I like all the options. The atmosphere is great. There's people studying, chatting, working, and having breakfast as a fam. Caliber coffee has been consistent overall in all categories, which is rare these days. Great customer service, the staff is always friendly and have genuine smiles. The wide array of drinks on the menu aren't overwhelming for me considering I'm the most indecisive person. And I've tried a few food items from breakfast to sandwiches, salads and cookies. I had a chicken sandwich that wasn't all that good, but everything else overshadows that one sandwich. Especially the dad bod. The biscuits and gravy are scrumptious. Every drink I've had was absolutely fabulous and just the perfect temperature. So 5 stars overall for me, service is pretty quick but the taste of drinks and food are never lacking in quality. And everytime I walk in it's crowded and the drive thru has a long line. So I think that speaks volumes about the atmosphere and vibe, please keep it up caliber coffee. read more

New coffee shops necessitates a cappuccino to test the baristas coffee acumen. I received a disposable cup with cold coffee and mostly foam that was improperly frothed. Place seems crowded with college students looking for a place to study. Not recommended. May as well go get airport coffee. read more

Not bad! Very glad to see Donelson get this sort of coffee shop/cafe, as it's very overdue. I'd like to try it again now that they're open for real (we went during the soft opening) and try more things. The scones were lovely, though I would love it if they warmed them up before serving them. They were okay cold, but I bet they'd be amazing warm. My friend got a cinnamon latte and loved it, while I got drip coffee. They didn't ask me what kind I wanted, so I guess they only have one type, presumably a medium roast, but it was fine. Service was a bit weird - the coffees were delivered to our table, but then I had to ask for/get up to get cream and sugar for mine (nothing at the table yet). They had little plastic stirrers but no spoons for those dining in. Would much prefer spoons, please! Not sure if refills are a thing here, since it's not self-serve and no one came around to ask. I'm sure they'll work out the kinks soon. The lunch menu looks interesting, so I'll be back to try that and see what the other coffee offerings are like. The revamped building looks really good and the chairs are surprisingly really comfy, so points to them for the atmosphere. The baristas here are so amazing ! Came to town w/ my husband to pick up a friend from the airport & stopped in to kill a couple of hours. Mentioned to the barista that I'd love something that tastes similar to a horchata & he was like, "I got you!" & made the best frappe ever. Then, when we were heading out, my husband got another drink for us to share while we waited at the airport pickup line & the same barista made it. We told him we trusted him & to make something tasty. He did not disappoint. It was an iced coffee w/ white mocha, Irish cream, & oat milk... very rich, creamy, & caffeinated enough for us to endure the boring wait in line & the 1.5 hour drive back home. I forget his name, but if you go, anything they make should not disappoint!! I'll be back every time I come to Nashville from now on. read more
