I am writing this formal complaint and public notice to document a series of severe issues concerning the repair of my vehicle at Caliber Collision under the management of Branch Manager Dawn and repair lead Josue. What should have been a standard auto body repair taking approximately one week turned into an unacceptable multi month ordeal defined by repeated damage to replacement parts, a total lack of quality control, unexplained mileage and fuel depletion, and unresolved unauthorized charges billed directly to my personal credit card. Throughout the repair timeline, Caliber Collision contacted me on several separate occasions to inform me that my vehicle was fully repaired and ready for pickup (this occurred over 4 times). Upon my arrival each time, I discovered new, glaring damages inflicted on the vehicle while under your shop's care. These damages included dented, scratched, and mispainted replacement components. Notably, brand new bumper assemblies ordered specifically for my vehicle were damaged during the repainting and installation process itself. Furthermore, the physical fitment of the components was severely compromised. Following one of the supposed completions, the bumper fitment was misaligned to the point where I could place my entire hand into the gap between the bumper and the body panel. Additionally, the front grill was scratched, and paint was left with visible, dried drip marks across the surface. Releasing a vehicle with such obvious misalignment and cosmetic defects poses serious safety concerns regarding panel detachment and demonstrates that no pre delivery quality control inspection was ever performed by Josue or the repair staff. To compound these concerns, I was informed that despite ordering and billing for brand new replacement parts, certain original parts were retained and reinstalled on the vehicle on a precious repair. It also took over a month for Caliber Collision to perform the mandatory camera safety system calibrations, unnecessarily prolonging the entire repair timeline. Furthermore, when I surrendered my vehicle to Caliber Collision, the gas tank was over half full, reflecting more than 150 miles of driving range. When the vehicle was finally returned to me, the gas tank was completely empty. Although I was informed the car was taken to a local Nissan dealership for camera calibration, that facility is located merely five miles away. The substantial increase in odometer mileage and total depletion of my fuel reserves suggest unauthorized personal usage or severe negligence while my vehicle was in Caliber's custody. They did put the gas back to half a tank, upon pick final pick up. Because Caliber Collision failed to properly execute the repairs on the initial attempts, my auto insurance policy's maximum 30 day rental car coverage was exhausted. Branch Manager Dawn explicitly assured me both verbally and in writing that Caliber Collision would assume full financial responsibility for all rental charges extending beyond the 30 day insurance threshold due to the shop's delays. Despite Manager Dawn's explicit guarantees, Enterprise Rent-A-Car continuously billed my personal credit card. While a temporary refund was initially issued after Enterprise confirmed Caliber's financial obligation in their system notes, those identical unauthorized charges were re-applied to my credit card as of July 27, 2026. Repeated attempts to contact Manager Dawn regarding this matter have gone completely unanswered. I initially refrained from escalating this matter publicly because I believed Manager Dawn acted with integrity to resolve these misfortunes. However, the recurring financial harm to my personal account and subsequent lack of communication necessitate formal action. Caliber Collision must immediately contact Enterprise Rent-A-Car to settle the outstanding split balance and ensure all unauthorized charges billed to my credit card are permanently reversed. Additionally, I require written confirmation of a zero balance from both organizations, a detailed explanation regarding the vehicle's excess mileage, and full documentation verifying the origin and warranty of all installed parts. If these matters are not fully resolved within five business days, I will submit this formal record alongside my receipts and financial statements to the State Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division, the State Bureau of Automotive Repair, and my auto insurance carrier for investigation into improper billing practices and quality failures read more

WOULD AVOID!! They will not honor the estimate they wrote out for you and in my situation, Caliber contacted my insurance for a quote AFTER I said I planned to pay for a small dent without involving insurance. My insurance company opened a claim, I have paid higher premiums in insurance because of this, can't get it removed and I DIDN'T even use Caliber because of the sketchiness of the estimate process. After an unfortunate meet and greet with a large piece of aluminum on the freeway my car ended up at Caliber Collision again. This time (yes this is my second time there) Jasmin Lopez was my Service Advisor. Jasmin stood out as she was efficient and maintained excellent communication throughout the process. She knew I needed the car back due to visitors coming to town and ensured she updated me each day with the progress. The car ended up being done in less than a week - that's the entire process of disassembling, ordering parts, painting, reassembling and detailing. Jasmin also noticed a dent on my fender that I hadn't even noticed which we addressed while the car was in the shop. I can't recommend this Caliber location enough and if you're lucky enough to work with Jasmin it will make it that much better. The owner is really nice. The one star is for the owner and lady behind the desk. The 0 stars is for the worlds most cocky and rude individual on the planet who openly talked crap about me being there early to pick up my car after he told me to come. He tried to back track like it wasn't his fault or he didn't say it. But I am no stupid. My car was done great. Daniel is cocky. Arrogant. Rude. And disrespectful. He. Purposely ignored my phone calls. He answers the phone like a five year old "hellloooooo this is Daniel how can I what do you need?" Grow up dude. The yellow glasses say it all. They charged me an extra $200 to repair part of the fender and it wasn't done. Looks worse than when I brought it to them. Also, the inside of the car was totally ransacked. Seats had been moved around, items in the back seat were thrown around and even the air freshener was ripped out of the vent and thrown in the floor. I deserve at least a $200 refund for the work NOT completed as paid for. My trust in this place is completely gone due to the condition of the car when I picked it up. I will never use this place again and wouldn't recommend even letting them wash your car at this point! read more

Do NOT bring your car to this Caliber location, and to Caliber Charlotte, please talk to your employees at this location. I rarely give one-star ratings, but this was unacceptable service on another level. I dropped my car off for repairs on a Monday and was told they would get the parts ordered. I called back on Wednesday, and whoever was on the phone with me laughed a bit and said she would put the insurance information in soon and let me know when the parts were ordered. I ask how long it would take, and she said once she put the parts order in she would know, but probably 2-3 weeks. Here I am thinking I'm screwed and won't get the car back for weeks, not to mention they hadn't even put the information in yet.... So I call a location in Raleigh to see how they can do, and they tell me they will put the part order in now and repairs should take five days total. So much better. You put the order for parts in the day of the drop off, not three days later when I call and ask for an update. read more

Although Caliber collision does not specialize in mechanic work, they still took the time to see what was going on with my car and did what they could to help me. They even called a mechanic down the street for me to explain the situation and told them i was coming. I, Dameian D. Battle, MBA and Yevette B, MSW, have been long term consumers of the Caliber Collision brand. We have had some terrible experiences with Caliber in the past, which would include all services previous done under Jeena's team located on 1710 Piney Plains Rd in Cary, NC; and all previous services done under Sabas Orellana who originally managed the Fayetteville, NC store located 1509 Skibo rd, keeping our car well over 7 mths to complete. We would like to also add that Sabas Orellana now manages the location on 9248 South Blvd, in Charlotte, NC after leaving the Fayetteville, NC store. We literally had to take our car back to his new location to complete the work that he didn't get finished due to him relocating back to Charlotte to manage his new store. Sabas took almost another 2 months to try to fix what the Fayetteville store messed up. Even though we were in various rentals for 9 months total between his 2 stores, we felt that he devalued our car's worth from all the mistakes that were made. Our car has been worked on well over 11 different times between these two individuals (mostly by Sabas), which caused us to lose faith in the brand when they overpromised and under delivered. Keep reading...it gets better! Moving forward, after our previous incident that we recently filed with Geico on, we decided to give Caliber one more chance; and after some careful prayer and reconsideration, we are truly grateful that we met this amazing team of individuals who take pride working for the Caliber Brand. This is a team take their work extremely serious and don't mind owning up to their mistakes. We have never experienced the red carpet service until we met Phil (Center GM), Daniel Whitehouse (Service Advisor), and Louis (Tech Manager) at the South Blvd location at dropoff on January 28, 2020. They wowed us beyond our imagination to receive; in lamen terms, they went beyond the call of duty to exemplify what true customer service means in every aspect! Let's go deeper! After the immediate intake process, Daniel Whitehouse took time to make sure our vehicle was disassembled correctly. Together, Daniel and Louis were able to notice immediately that something was wrong with my paint job (previously done by Sabas O.) Daniel contacted me immediately shared his overall, combined work experience that there is either a defect in the paint or the paint job was done incorrectly on my entire front end; however, someone should've noticed this terrible job before your car was released to you previously. Daniel and Louis took some time to investigate previous invoices of work that was completed under Sabas O. and after discovering that the previous work was under warranty, they could get it warrantied out and not charged to my insurance in the new claim. Keep in mind, I filed a claim for an issue that damaged my front end and didn't have anything to do with what Daniel and Louis discovered. He could've easily worked it all in to my new claim, however, his level of integrity showed with no equivocations. Let's go deeper! After trying to replace my front end with after market parts, Daniel and Louis realized that it wouldn't work for our car, so they personally called us to make us aware that they would have to order OEM parts so that their work would be satisfying along with a great presentation of quality. They treated our car as if it was their own, which is rare in this industry. If you have never had your car fixed at a Collision center, mistakes can happen. Give yourself room and the willingness to accept if something goes wrong. When it came close to finishing our car, a tow truck scratched our car while they were finalizing the final product. Finally, after Daniel and Louis told us, we reassured them that it was ok and cared about getting it fixed. We could not have asked for a better team to work with. This was my first time using Caliber Collision and I was very satisfied with my experience. It was very easy to set up an appointment and everyone was very friendly. My car was finished before the estimated date and they were easy to work with in collaboration with my insurance company. The work done was great and you couldn't tell I had been hit. The only cons are they are not open on weekends so I had to miss work to drop off and pick up my car. The other is they told me my car was finished but there were door guards that still needed put on, so it technically wasn't done. They assured me a third party contractor would come to put them on, but he never did. read more

I had my front fender replaced after someone decided to hit it in a parking lot. In all I had the passenger fender replaced, and the bumper and new fender painted on my jet black Q40. It was completed earlier than expected and my insurance company was a direct pay to them. Returning the enterprise rental was as simple as leaving it at the shop! The paint job was excellent - the clear coat was perfect, and the shade of black matched the rest of the car perfectly. The car was cleaned and washed for me, inside cleaned as well. The reason only 4 stars? The headlights, hood, and fenders were not aligned properly. I had to bring it back for it to be aligned pretty close, though not perfect. The headlights were better, but the fenders are not as tight as they used to be. There was also 2 scuffs inside the door jam that I had to bring back again to get touched up from them being adjusted. Overall the customer service keeps a high rating, how a place reacts to a problems speaks volumes, and the paint job is looks amazing. So I would still recommend them. read more

I can not say enough great things about this place and the people there. I had my 7 series BMW repaired there. Not only did they keep me up to date, they went the extra mile. Curtis was awesome. He called me when it was ready and told me he had put gas in my car AFTER a full detail. I turned my car in to the shop in North Charlotte but they said they were too busy to get to it anytime soon. I left it with a half of a tank of gas. It was at 1 mile when Curtis called me for pick up. He had his staff or maybe he did, put $10.00 worth of gas in the car to make sure I had enough to get to the gas station. I've had my van at a Caliber Collision before but was not pleased. This shop, and Curtis, went WELL BEYOND the expected. I hope I never have to return, never have another accident, but if I did.... I have already recommended them to my friends.
