Chose this location to repair the front bumper of my car after a minor accident. After a couple of pushbacks because of wrong parts, I got my car back 2 months after without my A/C working. They claimed they had nothing to do with it since they didn't touch anything A/C related, but in the invoice I received from them, it clearly said they replaced some parts and refilled the freon from the A/C. Bad customer service overall since they don't know how to own up to their mistakes. read more

My insurance company let me pick where I wanted to have my truck repaired, & since I had previous experience with another Caliber, I chose the one in Elgin since it was close to my house. I was glad I did, the repair turned PERFECT! They were able to get me in right away, they matched the stock paint and even the texture perfectly, and everyone I dealt with at the shop- Brandon & his mgr, they were both awesome. They made it easy to get a hold of them, and they kept me up to date on where my truck was in the process of being done. Hopefully I never need to get my truck repaired again, but life happens. Had an expensive repair done recently. Spray on bedliner was applied in one area, not sure why as it wasn't originally part of the damage. Regardless, job looks like something a child did; spotty, different texture, glossy versus the rest of bedliner which is dull. Now Caliber wants my insurance company or myself to pay to make it right. Shake my head at this POOR customer service. will never go back, won't recommend. read more

Took my 2014 dodge challenger in for hitting a deer. Completion date got pushed back twice due to not being able to find a part that was in their possession. Upon picking up the car I discovered that they didn't replace the side skirt on the drivers side, they also took the splash guard for the engine out of the trunk and never put it back on, they damaged the tint on the driver door window when pulling apart the door for paint and last but the worst of all is they destroyed the clear coat on the rest of the car when they washed it with a brush. Been getting the run around for the past 3 days, all they will do is say we will give a note to the general manager. To put things in context. I am a vp of a local car club and I am always putting my car in shows. My car wasn't pristine but I break my back working on this car and keeping the paint in top notch quality. Business is not reliable. My vehicle was supposed to be done and they had to reschedule the end date. Then it was supposed to be done on 7/2 and again it wasn't ready. At this point I had arrangements made that I absolutely needed the truck back and I had to pay someone else to be able to take care of them. So they finally had it ready for that 3rd date but not right at all that ended up costing me extra money because I did business with them. I was rear ended in Austin. My car which is babied and waxed and polished and cared for like I want to keep it 20 years was damaged. I stopped by late on my way to Elgin, and noticed lights were still on at 5:30 PM. They were gracious and asked me to come in the next morning, but also took preliminary info. Once I got there the next AM everything went very smooth; the repairs were done 2 days later; Progressive provided a loaner which the shop coordinated so they met me at shop, and I was able to return rental at shop. Clean, fast, accurate, friendly and easy to do business with. Car looks like it never happened. What a relief. Caliber Collision in Elgin is great. After the last bad hailstorm, I had a appraisal and set a drop off date with caliber collision in Elgin, TX. At the time of check in, I was given the date my vehicle would be ready and the checks for the appraisal had already been sent to caliber collision. The day prior to pick up, the "fill-in manager" informed me that it would not be ready for another week. At the time, I was understanding of their workload due to the storm. Another week passed and then I was pushed back an additional week to wait. The pick up date had been delayed multiple times now. After the 28th day being without a vehicle, I began to lose patience and grow frustrated with their dissatisfactory customer service. I felt that they were being dishonest and giving me the run around. All I wanted was an actual set date to pick up my vehicle, as it was going on a month of being without. My insurance had already closed the claim a week and a half prior and yet I still did not have my vehicle. It was only after my persistence in calling to request my vehicle, that I was able to pick it up the same afternoon. I am typically not a confrontational person, but I had to project my frustrations in order to receive timely service. My vehicle was checked in on April 19th and it wasn't until May 17th that I was able to pick it up. In the end, even after picking up the vehicle, it remained incomplete due to a part that was ordered incorrectly. Once again the "fill in manager" seemed like he could have cared less that a product of his business was sent out incomplete and not up to customer standards. I was told I would be contacted when the part arrived, and thus we still await to see if they can get it right. As I've experienced this dissatisfactory service, I am hearing similar experiences from other locals as well. Therefore I would never recommend caliber collision in Elgin, TX for any type of vehicle services. read more

These guys are awesome. I hit a hog on my way to work. The damage was for the most part minor but did bend the bumper back to make it dangerous to drive and required paint for the front quarter panel. They had my truck fixed in about 10 days. They dealt with the insurance company and made the truck showroom ready! About a week after I got my truck back I notice the rear rock guard that was missed. They got a new piece the next day and replaced it with no trouble. Great work! read more

They did a great job on my Volvo XC90 after getting rear ended. I had a great experience with caliber years ago and almost went to one in Austin, feeling concerned about the small size of this Elgin location but I couldn't have been happier. Would use them again if I ever need to. read more
