This has been the single worst customer service experience I have ever had. What should have been a…read moreroutine repair turned into a 4 month nightmare. Since bringing my car to Caliber Collision in Seymour, I made approximately ten separate trips because I was repeatedly told my vehicle was "finished" and ready for pickup. Every single time, I found additional problems that should have been caught long before a customer was ever called to pick up their vehicle. I felt like I was the quality control inspector instead of the body shop. I found issue after issue while the people being paid to repair and inspect the car somehow missed them. The vehicle was returned to me with misaligned doors that allowed wind into the cabin, a misaligned trunk, poor paint quality, and numerous other workmanship issues. Looking at the work this shop did to my car makes me think they have Helen Keller spraying paint and Stevie Wonder doing the body work. The General Manager made the experience even worse. Rather than taking responsibility for the repeated failures, he attempted to pressure me into accepting an unfinished vehicle. The situation became so bad that Caliber ultimately had to tow my vehicle to a different Caliber Collision location because this shop could not complete the repair. That alone should tell you everything you need to know. No customer should have to inspect every inch of their own vehicle after every repair attempt, repeatedly point out obvious defects, rearrange their schedule for months, and make countless unnecessary trips because a shop keeps declaring a vehicle finished when it clearly is not. I trusted this shop with my vehicle, and that trust was completely misplaced. If you are considering having collision repairs performed here I strongly recommend taking your vehicle somewhere else, or buy some tools and do the repairs yourself, they will be better than this shop. I would never return to this location, and I would not recommend it to anyone I know.

From the very first interaction, the whole team made a stressful situation feel manageable. They were warm, responsive, and genuinely easy to work with, and both repairs were finished ahead of schedule. Each time I picked up my car, it looked fantastic - clean, restored, and like nothing had ever happened. What really set them apart, though, was what happened months later. About eight months after my second repair, I was still dealing with the power window problem. Since it had nothing to do with collision work, James could have easily brushed it off and sent me elsewhere. Instead, he took the time to track down the issue and made sure my windows were working again. That kind of follow-through is rare, and it meant a lot. After a bad experience at a chain auto repair shop, this level of honesty, care, and accountability was an enormous relief. If you're a woman who's ever felt dismissed or has been taken advantage of when it comes to repairs, you probably know exactly how much that matters. If you're ever in the unfortunate situation of needing collision repairs, I highly recommend Mr. Cool's Collision.
