My son backed our 20 year old Sienna into a parked car. Dented the rear bumper and the passenger side back panel. We brought it here for an estimate. No problem, got a quote. We decided to allow them to do the work. Two weeks they said. Over 3 weeks later I start calling, I've had no contact. We need this car as we can carry our 5 rescue dogs to the parks. They said they could not contact our claims adjuster and would not give me my car until they had. Later I found out that without asking, they decided to up the claim by throwing in fixing the automatic sliding door (it's been broke for years). They never ran this by us, just did it, doubled the claim. This brought the fixes over the book value of the car. All this happened behind our back. Anyone with a brain looking at the damage can see the accident was not near the sliding door. But Caliber decided to just add it up. Now I am facing a total loss and having to deal with people asking me if I am going to turn over my car. That it must be reported to the state, and the mess that causes. Also they won't give me my car. I finally said I am coming to pick it up anyway and they would have to physically stop me from taking it. I got it, they gave it to me with some signatures. It still had their marks all over it. Never had an experience like this before, don't bring older cars here. They may decide to junk your car without you even knowing and then decide to not let you have it back. End result, the only way to stop the total loss was to drop my claim. I had to return the money I had received to fix the car. So because I brought my car here to get fixed, I lost all the money to fix it up. Even when the insurance company called them back with what we knew, after I told them we were getting scammed, Caliber refused to change anything. Poor execution of paint job, all the painted surfaces have orange peel, and I was told that it is not fixable. They said it's normal which I know is not after having many cars painted in the past. Orange peel is the bumpy, uneven texture that resembles an orange peel on a painted surface. This uneven finish is considered a defect in the painting process. The effect is a result of the paint not stretching or leveling properly as it dries, leading to a rough, dimpled appearance. They should repaint everything to get it right since they couldn't fix it by wet sanding and buffing. Crazy to charge over $10k for orange peel paint on 3 panels. I will go somewhere else next time. read more

Someone hit my car while I was parked and were kind enough to leave a note so that we could exchange information and get insurance repairs. And that's what led me to Caliber Collision. Honestly it was the easiest exchange I could have hoped for. When we brought our car they took our keys and went outside with us to go over what needed to be done. What they did was far beyond what I expected. They set us up with a rental and within 10 minutes we were on our way and in another car. Easy. Then they literally had our car ready THE NEXT DAY. WHAT??? I couldn't believe it. The work done was flawless and perfect. You couldn't even tell that Sheila (my car) had an accident. :) She's as good as new! My car was sideswiped and Caliber was the body shop for the other parties insurance. The staff was friendly quickly assessed the damage of my car, let me know the process that would take place and a window of how long I would be without my car. The transition to my rental car was a smooth one as they helped facilitate that. They are very hands on and call every few days to let you know where they are with your vehicle. Mine ended up having to be moved to another facility because they had a heavy workload at the time. I was without my car maybe 3 weeks because it required repairs on the whole side of my vehicle. Caliber did a great job in repairing my vehicle and made it look brand new again. I did have to bring it back the same day I got it back because my doors were clicking but wouldn't lock. They were accommodating and put me back in a rental while the checked into the issue. The only cons I had with this experience was when I got my vehicle back I was missing an adapter for my phone to car and I also filled my tank up before dropping my car off and when I received it I was under a quarter tank. Not sure if they drove my car to the other facility or what but I would have preferred my car be towed like most repair places do. read more

He did an amazing job of keeping us informed, finished the job 3 days early to accommodate our leaving on a trip, and took the time to explain everything in detail and answer our questions. Was rear-ended by a distracted driver. Caliber took care of the entire estimating process to determine it was being totalled out by insurance. Tammy took care of me the entire way, and I couldn't have asked for a nicer and more helpful person. My insurance gave me such a hard time with my repairs and claim but this auto shop continued working on my car and handled the situation amazingly in a way that was best for me in the least time. A 22 year old kid rear ended the car I had less than 6 months. Within 2 hours of the accident I had my car in the shop at Caliber ad a rental car waiting for me. I was referred to Caliber Collision by State Farm. I had chipped paint and dents all over my vehicle from a hail storm. I met with the advisor, walked around the vehicle pointing out all the dents and chips. I received a call from Caliber stating that my vehicle was completed. They had only painted the hood. It looked like my hood had hives. There were bumps all over the hood. I informed the manager, Dalton that they had not done what I hired them for. I showed him the numerous paint chip damage from the hail storm. He argued with me it from rock chips, I agreed that there were a COUPLE of chips that had rust in them. The others were from the hail storm. Caliber collision will make the determination of damage not State Farm. I called 6 days later to see if my vehicle was done yet. Dalton informed me they had not done any other work on my vehicle. I had to call them to get this information. Dalton dropped the ball by not giving State Farm the correct information about the paint chips, not calling me to inform me my vehicle was done. read more

I had my car repaired there. Insurance company waived deductible. Caliber office told me the insurance company hadn't communicated that to them and made me pay the $500 to take my car home. Of course, insurance company paid them full amount. I requested refund from Oviedo office. Two months later I still have not received my $500 refund and have had to dispute it on my credit card. I feel like the repair work as completed was average at best, but this issue with the refund took me from a 3 star to 1. read more

After leaving my truck with them to fix. I received it back with oil stains on my driver seat, scratches on the interior, the rear axle was still not fixed with marks from where the driver side leaf spring was hit with a hammer and they didn't even touch the passenger side, a new scratch on my passenger door, and a flat tire to go along with their poor service. I own a mercedes that was involved in a collision. My first instinct was to bring the car to a mercedes dealer for repair. I was leary when my insurance company recommended a repair shop. I always check reviews from multiple sources and honesty the first shop that they recommended had horrible reviews. When they recommended caliber secondly I checked and reviews were better and the insurance company also said that they would guarantee the repair so we gave it a shot. We also separately from the insurance had them repair some other dings and scratches and tint the windows. When we got the car back it looked amazing but honestly after driving it there were a couple of minor issues that needed to be addressed. It was a major repair and from my experience there will always be small issues to be addressed and it's how these issues are addressed that make a good repair shop into a great repair shop. Caliber could not be more accommodating and addressed the issues immediately. The car looks better than when we got it , but I have changed my recent review because after readjusting the rear door due to air coming in around the seals while driving the excessive road noise has actually gotten worse, not better. We are going to give them one more chance to fix it right. If they fix it, my review will change but this is becoming a huge inconvenience. read more
