Caliber Collision in RWC is a a trustable, professional, skilled body shop. Maha was personable, explained the process with professionalism. Especially , as a woman, I felt relief and reassurance from Maha's updating, explanations and demeanor. Entrusting our repairs to a body shop,is a bit like trusting a health care professional because we are sort of at the mercy of people who have the expertise to repair our cars which could otherwise present safety issues. I compare it to a very negative repair at the San Carlos Honda dealer. From start to finish it was unprofessional . They said my car was ready, which was to replace a damaged driver's side mirror. They drove it up to the office area. I could see from a distance that the mirror was still missing! That was a $1200 premium price for negligence. Last week I brought my brand-new car in to be repaired because someone backed into my quarterpanel in a parking lot, leaving a softball sized dent. Calibre was fast and efficient and I was heading away in my rental car in no time. They estimated it would take a week, but I got my car back, good as new, for cheaper than estimated and faster. I went to this Caliber after another body shop (a deferent Caliber) was unable to repair my trunk lift gate after an accident. I had gone back to the previous body shop several times and was about to give up. I decided to try the Redwood City Caliber, and it made a world of difference! Manny arranged for me to have a rental car, and worked with the corporate office to honor the warranty for my previous botched repairs. I paid nothing, and my trunk finally works! Fixed my car here. There rigid and know it all attitude left a lot to be desired. Now if they did impeccable work I would over look their social and technical short comings, but they missed a number of items. It was just too much drama to go back and have to deal with the lady who runs the place, so I left it alone. They were recommended by the insurance company and I would imagine they provide lower than market prices - not sure about this- to do the work. In general, I have had my cars fixes by other body shops and the workmanship, attitude, responsiveness and deliverables have been much better. I did not pay for anything, so I can not complain to much, but I would never go back there if I had to pay for it- they just do not make my minimum cut. Again, I think if is a franchise-but not sure- and the umbrella company might have negotiated a deal with the insurance company, this site would not pass on its own. read more

Having my 2nd car at Caliber at 1800 Industrial San Carlos. One was elective surgery and one was an insurance claim. The work is fast and awesome. All three ladies that work in the front must be owners or something. Seems like they actually like their jobs. I go back just because of them. But honestly have had no issues with the repairs or timing of the repair. The previous one parts got shipped to the wrong caliber, they picked them up to save time. Caliber collision was recommended to me by my Travelers insurance company after some lady backup into my car at the store parking lot. On my arrival for estimate I met Matt Bandy (manager). He took lots of photos. The damage end up to be bigger then it look at first. Matt order parts, informed my ins. company of the estimate. To my surprise he find all needed parts very quickly (unusual for current COVID car parts situation). We selected day to bring my car in & Matt personally take me back to my home (approximately a mile). Repair was done in time as was estimated (8-10 days). My SUV looks like new. My nearly brand new SUV had extensive damage to the front end from a collision right after the holidays. If the car wasn't new it surely would have been totaled. Caliber is a preferred shop for my insurance so we had the car towed there. The entire experience was excellent. Maha stayed in touch with me the whole time (I knew the repairs would take awhile given the damage, and they did) and she worked with State Farm to have everything approved. The repair work was primarily parts since the car was so new and Caliber made sure to get OEM parts so everything was like new. Most importantly, I noticed a few minor things after I picked the car up and they were taken care of quickly, no questions asked, and Caliber dealt with the additional insurance paperwork. Caliber also covered my rental during those repairs which was extremely professional. I also worked closely with Cherie, the manager, on the subsequent work. She is very responsive, professional and kind, and such a pleasure to work with. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was done right. The quality of the repair work is top notch. A tree branch fell on my car and I arranged to have my estimate made at Caliber Collision in Redwood City since they did a good job with my other vehicle. While my body work was completed at the Fremont location, Matt and his team facilitated everything for me so that I could drop off and pick up in RWC. After the repair work was complete, there were a couple of issues that came up. Matt was able to fix one of them in Redwood City while I waited. The other issue had to be fixed in Fremont. Matt made all the arrangements from drop off, rental car, and pick-up in Redwood City. While it was inconvenient for this issue to pop up and have to take my car in for a couple of days, Caliber Collision did everything they needed to do to make it right and fix the issue. read more

Bigger review: My car issue: I was pretty stressed out after our super new family car ended up getting a bunch of scratches literally the 1 time we decided to drive it away from the house. I went to Ray's Auto for an estimate where they estimated something crazy and wanted to repaint not just 1 but 2 doors. So I looked into another shop that was recommended by my Allstate auto insurance, that was in our area, which ended up being Caliber Collision in Redwood City (1800 Industrial). Customer Service: I called toward the end of the day to see when I could get an estimate and the person who helped me over the phone, Sharee (spell?), was really courteous, easy to talk to, and easy to schedule with. I was stressed before I called and was less stressed on the call. I was able to come in the next day and both people that helped me that day were super nice and easy to work with. I hardly had to wait to be helped and never felt like I was forgotten in the lounge area for the time I was there (which has definitely happened in other auto shops/dealers). I worked with Maha, and she gave me a very reasonable estimate, explanation of options going forward, and timeframes to get the work done. I did not feel like I was being pushed into anything. And they were actually able to repair my car to boot in the less than 1 hour I was there! Location: On Industrial Way in Redwood City. There are 2 driveways, and both sides have a couple parking spaces you can park in in front of the building's entrance. Lounge area by front desk has a handful of comfy arm chairs. Hours: Good hours. Check in was easy and when they found more issues after tear down I was called and walked through concerns and updated with revised estimate provided to insurance. I continually received updates while they worked on my car for a little over a week. When I picked it up there was some cosmetic stuff that staff was quick to fix. Noticed next day a slight issue and called and brought car back. They quickly fixed issue with an apology that I had to bring it back and had me on my merry way. read more
