Disrespectful and irresponsible staff squad. Went to have my car fixed for a rear end, car was mostly fixed and for things that didn't get fixed I requested fixing, the response was that if it was something simple to fix they would fix it but never came back to it. Additionally, the insurance requested an inspection for supplemental damage and when I came for that inspection the guy who did the inspection argued my comments and I told him to please send his notes from the inspection to the insurance. A month passed and the insurance received nothing from Caliber, called caliber and spoke to the guy that inspected the car and asked him if he sent it to the insurance and he said that he guesses he didn't, I told him they expected that a month ago to what he proceeded to reply: I am not gonna be assisting you with committing fraud" to which I replied I only came back per the insurance's request and asked him to repeat what he said, he avoided it. Told him I wouldn't continue dealing with Caliber, hung up. This was back in March and we are not in May. That same day I called their HQ and they responded saying management would contact me but to this day I have received no response. Avoid this place, is not worth it. read more

The passive, unfriendly young man at the front desk would benefit from some customer service skills training based on my two interactions with him, one in person and one over the phone. My older car was unfortunately declared totaled and the at-fault driver's insurance company helped me go through the process of retaining the car, advising me to call Caliber and tell them I would still like to pay to fix it. I called as instructed and the aforementioned young man brusquely and unsympathetically told me Caliber does not work on totaled cars, "you'll have to call a small mom and pop shop." I asked for a recommendation and he refused. Very displeased with this experience and will never return to this location, or likely Caliber in general, again. read more

Rude, dismissive employees. Pathetic excuse for service. I would not give these people my business if they begged. They do not care about their customers or their customers' safety, they sent me on my way with a disabled vehicle and not so much as a second glance. Spend your money where people actually care. I was told by my insurance company to get an estimate from this company. I called and was told that they do not do estimates for customers directly because they are more expensive than other body shops so only insurance companies can afford them. They only do work for insurance company claims so they can get more money. FREE ONLINE ESTIMATE IS A JOKE. RED FLAG! read more

No body wants to need a collision repair place but if you find yourself like me, in a fender bender with your bumper in need of some repair, this is the place to check out. They were communicating with us every step of the way. They worked seamlessly with our insurance and let us know updates on parts and estimated a timeframe that they stuck to. When I saw that my back brake lights were out after the repairs were finished, I called to see if this was something from the repair. They made an appointment with me immediately, checked it out, fixed my brake lights. both bulbs had blown out and they replaced them- I don't think they had to do this (they didn't replace or touch any of the electric components on the car but wanted to make sure I was safe and not driving without brake lights) that kind of thoughtfulness is something I will keep with me and recommend caliber collision if anyone in an unfortunate situation like me needs a recommendation. read more

Aimee went above and beyond to make sure that we were taken care of and when the third party that they used caused the car to be delayed for over a week she offered to pay for a rental so that we wouldn't be without a car. They do great work as well and I will always be a repeat customer when needed! They put customer service above all else!! read more

New mom + too many responsibilities = backing up into your husband's car and pretty much taking your bumper off. Yep. As if I didn't have other things to deal with at the moment, a couple of weeks ago I was faced with this issue and no brain space to fix it. We decided to file a claim with insurance and they sent us to Caliber Collision. Here are my thoughts: + I LOVE Geico's partnership here. All you have to do is show up and they do evvvverything else. Someone met me there with a rental car. There was an adjuster on site. It was perfect. + LOVE the text updates. The less people I have to talk to, the better tbh + My car was ready about a week ahead of schedule This was the best place I could've chosen for my car repairs. They couldn't get the NEW red on the 7-year-old chevy, but they made a good try at it. Caliber was attentive and responsive to my needs, and worked to ensure that I was happy with the finished product (very expensive body repairs). I will say they did a good job repairing our car. My issue however was with the service. Given an estimate for 2 days for a repair and the entire job ended up taking 2 weeks--no explaination was given for that delay. Also, they never informed me about the status of the job as promised; I had to initiate contact. And when the car was ready, they called at 4:05pm and expected me to get it by 5:30pm their closing time. Are you kidding me? What working person can just pick up and leave whenever they want to get a car. This was the company my insurance company worked with which is why I used them. If there is a next time, I will go elsewhere. read more

We are very disappointed with the timeliness of this company. Take your car to a place that doesn't feel they are too big to fail. For a smashed windshield, (I thought) repairs should be a day or two. They required two weeks. After arranging to have the repairs completed after 10 days they realized a wiper mechanism had been damaged, so, via text, they added an additional week to repair that. The representative hung up on me twice because I was not being "civil." What did he expect? I was outraged! Don't take your vehicle here. read more

So I made a wee mistake and snapped the gas door right off the side of my car; don't ask me how it's a little embarrassing. Thankfully, there is no job too large, or in this case too small, for Caliber to handle. The staff are all absolutely wonderful people, and the work they do is impeccable. The paint job on the replacement part is indistinguishable from the original and they literally did it overnight for me, for a thoroughly reasonable price. Let me first start off by saying I've never been in an accident until I worked in Richmond. Both of my accidents were on the same road within 4 months of each other and not my fault. Everyone pulls out in front of you on Moore st., avoid that road at all costs!! I had previous experience with Caliber Collision from my first accident, didn't have any repairs done because my car was deemed totaled. They were extremely nice then so I used them again. I value the vehicle I have now and was very pleased they kept me so updated on what was going on. Unfortunately, my accident happened at the start of all the schools and business shutting down due to the Coronavirus, but Caliber Collision did stay open and they were so fast at getting my vehicle done. They finished my car in less than a week of the accident. I could not be happier with the work they have done. The paint colors match and the handling is the same as before even after the alignment. There was a mix up with my insurance company and caliber. Caliber had ok from insurance company to fix. They failed to do so. These folks banned me due to their failure to fix my car. Inste of trying to get this straight they act like children and ban me. I hope other CC shops have grown up's working for them. They claimed I was unpleasant. of course. They failed to do the work requested. And they had approval from my insurance co. Of course I was not pleasant. If I have an unsatisfied customer I will try to fix it. First, the good stuff: The car looks good. They matched the paint very well. It has a lifetime guarantee. They kept me informed every step of the way. Now, the bad stuff: the driver door hits the wheel well when it opens. The radio worked when I dropped the car off. It didn't work when I picked it up. Caliber's response: Coincidence. The air pressure light was on when I picked the car up (Nitrogen tires). I drove straight to the station to put air in, and found out all four of my tires were low by about 12 psi. Caliber's response: Coincidence. They didn't look at the things I asked about, the Customer Relations person googled about my radio with her phone and decided they didn't do it and had no responsibility for something that worked when it went in and didn't work when it came out. read more

I have had my vehicle repaired at Caliber Collision in West Salem several times. The last time I was devastated because insurance said it was totalled. David Doughty had the vehicle towed to Caliber in West Salem. He worked with the insurance company and found out what I needed to do to keep the vehicle since most of all the damage was cosmetic. He did an outstanding job fixing the vehicle safely. Caliber was more than cooperative with David in allowing him to fix it. The best part is this is the only thing I have left of my father after his passing years ago. From start to finish, the staff did a fantastic job delivering quality customer service; they kept me up to date on repair deadlines, and all other necessary information. They haven't even started on my car yet, and I can tell you right now, don't go here. I had to take it here because the person who hit me had Geico insurance. I only had the car for two weeks before I got hit, and now they've had it almost as long as I did. Still haven't started because they've said several times, they don't have the estimate. I emailed it over twice. They have a Geico adjuster on site who supposedly could pull it up for them, but I had to drive over and hand it to them in person. I'm not sure THAT worked, so I'll have to follow up tomorrow to see when they are going to start work. I'm SICK about leaving my brand new car there. read more

I've had a repair here in the past and they did an excellent job from estimate to fix. They had my car to me 2 days earlier than estimated. When my car got hit again, I brought it back and I had a lady names Shernita. I didn't end up getting my car fixed because the damages were more expensive than total loss but Sharnita helped me the whole time in regards to the insurance company and getting things figured out. She had excellent customer service and accomadated me in whatever ways she could. I called her about a half million times and not once was she rude. She was probably sick of me, but I never saw anything but effort from her to make me happy. This is definitely the best body shop I've been to in the Richmond area. Who has the time to get every detail. As a mother of a toddler I surely do not. You take what you can get. No matter how much these tired hands scrubbed at my waxy gray interior the stains just would not budge. However, at Caliber Collision I did not need to settle. I thought they only fixed exteriors. But when the offer came to take care of the inside I took it. When my car came back I was in shock. It was absolute perfection. My entire family had use Caliber Collision for years. This ends today! I called last week to set up an drop off time for my car to be repaired. The insurance company that was handling my claim had given me strict instructions to pass on to Caliber. The lady I spoke to was hateful, chastising me for the instructions. I explained the directions were coming from the insurance company. I then sent her the preliminary estimate and was to drop the car off a few days later. I called Becca before taking the car to them to see if they had ordered the parts and if there were any issues that needed to be addressed. I also explained I had been quarantined for 6 weeks and I take care of my very compromised parents that I couldn't have contact with people. Becca proceeded to tell me nothing was ordered as she couldn't make out the estimate and unless a family had covid nothing the could do. Her can't be bothered attitude was enough to make me hang up and take my business elsewhere. Called another body shop, completely different attitude, happy to help and easy to deal with.
