Caliber Collision - Broken led fog lamp. And broken connection from removing the bumper cover. - Body Shops Near Me - San Antonio, Texas

Took my wife's Suburban to 7543 Bandera Rd, San Antonio and got it back 6 days sooner than expected. It had some front in damage on the bumper, grill light and fender. It wasn't major damage but it was noticeable.  Communication with the shop and Chris were great. All communication was done via text which I didn't mind one bit. I would highly recommend this shop for your minor repairs since that's what was done.  I've used other Caliber shops over the years and this shop has been the most pleasant by far! I used to manage the make-ready dept. yeeeeears ago for Caliber. So I know what to look for when a car is being delivered to a customer. Paint matched perfectly and the body lines were good as well from the assembly. read more

Here to share my experience here again due the experience I've had here at caliber like I stated in the review below they had my car back in February it is now September.... That right September. No parts on back order and everything they needed to repair my vehicle was available for them. They delivered my vehicle to me with them not repairing my vehicle the right way. They billed the insurance for time to repair my floor and they didn't. Just spayed undercoating to cover it. When the put to repair the rear body I asked them if they think that's going to be a safe repair and they said yes. That was also not fix . But they billed the insurance company though. They charged the insurance company for pull time and time to measure my vehicle to make sure the frame and the rear of the car is to spec and didn't. They insisted for me to take it to the luxury location and I told them they have one last shot the regional manger stop texting me back wouldn't answer my calls or emails and they ended up replacing my inner and outter rear body panel and pulled the vehicle due to it not being pulled prior. And right there is " work billed not performed." Also know as insurance fraud. I've been asking for a updated estimate so I can provide that to the third parties insurance company so I can get diminish value and I can't because they haven't updated the estimate yet! Mind you I already had my car back for 3 weeks now and no one is answering me . My car is still not right the paint doesn't match. There's paint missing and sand scratches in the paint. Trash under the clear and missed damage on the quarter due to them pulling my car on the frame machine. I wonder how many people without collision experience they take advantage of. Everything was great except for the quality control. I will have to go back to get some issues addressed (loose hanging corner vent on driver side, a bit of over spray on a door, obvious paint repairs on the hood, bondo in different areas). I have no doubt that they will take care of me. However, who has time for this, and then deal with the car rental company again? I've been driving it a week and a half like this because i have don't have time to deal with it. Caliber, please get your QC in order. 11/2/2023 Update - I took the owner's advice and returned to Caliber to have the issues adressed because they were covered under warranty. However, whereas, the first time Caliber spent 3 weeks on my vehicle doing the full repairs, this time they kept my car for a month and a half to do just the minor repairs. Each time I called to try to arrange to pick it up (we arranged at least 3 times) the advisor would say that he found something else that needed to be addressed. Well, I put a stop to it and told him I was going to pick it up at the month and a half point. Immediately after that phone call I received a hold on my credit card from Enterprise Rental and a phone call from them stating that my insurance company was not going to pay for the additional rental time because obviously, it does not take a month and a half to do minor repairs. Well, thankfully, I had already spoken to USAA a few days earlier and explained to them what Caliber was doing, so they were aware that Caliber was dragging their feet doing these minor repairs. Finally, when I forcefully picked it up, within 5 minutes of reviewing the vehicle, I identified 2 items that they had not addressed yet from the original request. How is that possible! They had the car for a month and a half! I still took the car home and requested they order the parts and once delivered I would drive back and wait until they installed them, and that's what happened. Later, I learned that Caliber ended up covering ALL the rental fees. I wonder if it had something to do with my insurance company calling them... hmmm. One more thing... I also noticed that the vehicle had about 270 more miles than when I dropped it off. I know they had to drive the vehicle to at least 2 different Caliber shops to get the radar calibrated but the distance between them was not 270 miles worth. Make of that what you will. In any case, with this experience, I cannot recommend this Caliber store and I'm lowering my original rating to poor. Additionally, I talked to my insurance company and filed a complaint with the department that handles the third party relationships. read more

This was the most awful experience trying to get my car fixed. I dropped my car off, I got an update that it was ready for pick up and when I picked it up the apparently new upper grille was literally cracked in 2 places and the paint was bubbling. They took off my broken grille and felt comfortable installing a refurbished broken part and also felt comfortable giving it back to me that way and calling it done. So I told them to put a new part on there, as they stated they were going to do the first time, and I told them to do it right. I went back the second time to pick it up expecting it to be done properly and they replaced the upper grille with a new part but the lower grille was supposed to be replaced and yet again they put a scratched up refurbished part on the lower grille and called it done. The license plate was all dented up and bent, and the rubber seal was popping out of the hood. Just careless work and shows no integrity. So I left it there for the second time, hopefully they will do their job well on the third round and do quality work. It's a shame that they didn't treat their customers with care and have integrity. read more

I don't leave reviews usually and I didn't have to leave my car but I just have to commend the customer service that I was met with here. AJ was the young man I ran into in the parking lot I have an older model Toyota that I was having a cosmetic issue with. He took a look got some little clips and took the time to tell me how to take care of it myself if it ever happened again. At no point did he rush me or make me feel like because he really had nothing to gain I was a nuisance. In todays climate that was a breath of fresh air. Had my vehicle repaired there and was promised when one of the parts came in they would call, and the part was paid for through insurance, a side fender, and never received it or a call to return for installation, would not recommend picking up your vehicle until all repairs/parts are replaced. read more

I could not recommend this place highly enough. After getting into my first car accident; problems with the side door, the front bumper completely ripped off, Daniel made sure from the very first day to ease any stress I had of being forced to stay in San Antonio for much longer than I anticipated (since I live in Houston). Every day, I would receive texts updating the status of my car, which helped me greatly in planning for my return trip home. Even as parts were delivered late and unexpected structural damage arose, Daniel and his team were able to fully fix my car 5 days before the standard amount of time it would normally take! When I received my car, it was in better condition than when I first purchased it. It is easy to see that Daniel truly cares for his customers and is a gem in the San Antonio community.
