4/29 update: I still haven't received a phone call as of 1:10 pm. I got an email regarding a Tesla I don't own at 10:45 this morning, asking me to sign papers. 4/28 The communication has not been good so far. I dropped my car off on 4/24 Friday. On Monday they said they don't handle EVs so they have to tow it to a new location. I called Tuesday at 4pm and they said they would call me back tomorrow. I have been without a car for 5 days and zero communication. I am only forced to work with them because they contract with my insurance company. DO NOT COME HERE. I came a while back and they had "fixed" my car. It was the bottom part that the car that protects the engine. Two weeks later the SAME part falls off. They were fighting with me saying they wouldn't fix it and because I got angry and after going back and forth the manager who was a lady finally caved in and "fixed" it. I had the SAME problem today and the guy goes without saying anything. "this has happened before right? Because they didn't fix it. They just put a zip tie". I was told because of a previous repair "we won't touch this" i explained to my insurance AAA the situation I'm dealing with but the guy came out to look at the car for less than 1 minute and turned me away. They explained they don't know of the previous work done to the door dent.... I thought this was a repair shop.... The guy suggested buying a new door maybe i should just buy a new car. Unacceptable Service - 3 Months and Still Not Fixed My car went into Caliber Collision for a bumper, hood, and headlight replacement after an accident in November, and nearly three months later, they still haven't completed the job correctly. What should have been a straightforward repair has turned into an absolute nightmare. When I finally got my car back, the bumper, headlights, and hood were completely misaligned, and the paint job was atrocious--contaminants, overspray, runs, orange peel, and fish eyes everywhere. It looked like someone rushed through it without any quality control. To make things even worse, my car had a ceramic coating, and instead of working around it, they polished off the coating on areas that weren't even damaged. Then there's the sheer negligence--they used the wrong hardware to secure components in the engine bay and lost the bolts needed to properly attach the fender liners. At this point, I have little confidence in their ability to finish the job correctly. If you value your time, money, and sanity, stay far away from this place. As an avid member of the local car community in both San Diego and LA, I'll make sure that whenever anyone asks me about repairs, I'll tell them to avoid Caliber at all costs. If my paint and panel alignment are restored to their correct state, I will retract my review. read more

Very poor customer service, they damaged my right rear wheel on my Tahoe with overspray from the passenger door dent repair and initially tried to say that it was from a previous repair. The vehicle is new and never had a previous repair. The wheel is not repairable and will need to be replaced. I made a mistake taking my vehicle to the Grantville location, don't make the same mistake I did! read more

I am sitting in the waiting room waiting for my car to be released to me due to a deductible payment Caliber already assured me they received and confirmed they received the payment already in writing. My car was damaged by a hit-and-run driver, so I wasn't really happy about having to visit Caliber, but the check-in process went smoothly, I was able to pick up a rental car right from their parking lot, and the service advisor was friendly, so that helped my sour mood. I was really happy when they called and said my car was done really quickly - a day and 1/2 earlier than projected. The back bumper looked good as new, they had even fixed a little scratch that had been there before I was hit. They really did a beautiful job - oh, did I mention that it was less $$ than expected? Originally didn't leave a review after they repaired my car a year ago, although I wasn't happy with the job they did. But I actually got hit recently on the same panel that they had done repairs on and it revealed how bad of a job they really did. First let me say that after my car was repaired and repainted, the manager reached out to me and said my car was ready. He then called back and said on second thought, he's going to have them re-buff the paint job because it wasn't to standards. Okay, that's fine. When it was ready, I went to get the car and was almost taken back at how bad of a job they did with the paint. Major swirl marks, not smooth at all, looked awful. I asked them to redo it. When I got it back, not much better. Still see some really cringeworthy swirl marks in the paint job they did. Out of frustration and just wanting my car back at this point, I regretfully accepted it and moved on from the situation. The icing on the cake was the revealed work they did when my recent accident occurred. See attached photos of how they went about repairing my car by putting this thick layer of cheap material over the body of my car. Really? Def would not recommend. read more

Warning. Warning. Warning. Warning. - I want to share my experience in hopes that you can spare yourself a similar situation, headache, and much aggravation. A year ago, my Suburban was rear ended, and I engaged Calber Collision located at 4307 Vandever Avenue, San Diego, CA 92120 to repair and restore my vehicle. When my car was returned to me, and it was explained that the sensors in the bumpers needed to be calibrated and that I needed to bring the vehicle back. The calibration required I leave the vehicle for a couple of days. Having a family of five makes it difficult to be down a car for a few days. This year, while my family was away on vacation, I thought it would be a great time to get the sensors calibrated. In addition, I needed the liftgate adjusted and the rear window adjusted since they were not opening or closing as smooth as they should be and lower front bumper fog lights are not properly seated in the bumper. I left my car on a Wednesday, June 12th for the calibration and adjustments and was told by Ryan that he hoped to get it back to me by Friday, June 14th. With no follow up from Caliber, the following Tuesday I called inquiring about my vehicle, and I was informed that there was a problem with calibrating the sensors and that they needed to order a part. In the meantime, I could pick my car up but that I would have to bring it back and leave it again for the repair and calibration. On Wednesday, June 19th, I picked up my car and to my surprise my golf clubs and gym bag were missing from the car and my car had been "gone through". My registration from the glove box was sitting on the front passenger seat, business cards in my center console were strewn in by backseat, headphones were out of place. Ryan escalated the claim to the General Manager David. David let me know the vehicle was removed from the property on Vandever and taken to a "Fleet" location in Bay Park for the calibration where they do not have a secured property. After filing a Police report and providing it to Caliber Collision on Friday June 20th, their response has been dismal at best. There is no effort whatsoever by Caliber Collision to correct the situation and my property loss. They are very quick to ask for your insurance information when your car has been in a collision, but in the reverse - they are extremely slow. It's been a week since I picked up my car, no movement on my claim and I still haven't heard anything about the sensors repair progress. So, in addition to the lost property, I still have an unrepaired car. This has been a year of enduring shoddy workmanship and continuing repairs. I would not recommend this business to anyone. I would highly suggest looking for another reputable collision shop and avoid the inevitable hassles and required follow up. Peter Keller read more

Ah-maaay-Zzzing! I had a gnarly dent from a hit and run driver on my left passenger side of my car from 3 years ago. My Civvy is looking brand new! I even purchased 3 caps to replace my old ratty ones and the price was great.
