Horrible customer service. I came in simply to conduct business, and the employee I dealt with was incredibly unprofessional and dismissive. He told me, "Can't take it," completely ignored me, and then told his partner, "Deal with him." Excuse me? What am I--a dog that you can tell someone else to "deal with"? I came in without an appointment with an odd task (my license plate screw head had broken off and the other screws were stripped), and trevor did not hesitate-- he helped me immediately and was so kind and communicative. They fixed the issue on the spot (!!!) and without any charge!!!! For reference, another body shop down the street quoted me $150 to maybe be able to fix the issue next week. Although this business is right off of a busy street and is a tiny hole in the wall, the customer service has been a solid 5 stars. From scheduling, customer service to appointment wait times, knowledgeable staff... it's all been easy and fantastic. Caliber Collisions are known for their good work all over San Diego and they have a lifetime guarantee on all of their repairs. You can't beat it!! This location specifically has PLENTY to do for your kids if you have to bring them along: a box full of toys and activities, plus tv. Parking is hard since small lot on a crowded street. Also, person I worked with was nice but can't say the same for all staff. I also found it weird that they didn't fix the cover of the side mirror when it literally popped off and got scrapped but charged for a lot of other expenses where they are not picky and I was surprised that it had to be done. The next time Ben was especially helpful patiently answering my questions about my side mirror which had been clipped He even had the secret to get the tree sap off my car when two car washes could not. To be honest I'm glad my insurance USAA suggested me to come here, my man Mr Fidel helping me out through out this process with the updates and estimates and Ms Emily I think her name was very nice to help me check through every light, button, and feature to make sure my car was running perfect and it was. Even though when i got it back the first time I had a little tire issue but they fixed it same day and did everything perfect and fast, and to be honest I bought this car brand new this year 2000 miles and had a wheel issue with the suspension that I never took it for warranty and Caliber Collision fixed it all for me, they go above and beyond with their great service, came back and my car was shiny washed and smelled good inside, with water bottles inside, I'm definitely coming back in the future, I suggest you people come here but be patient since their packed and working hard with everyone. read more

I had a very unfortunate accident that was not my fault. A police officer opened his door while I was driving by and smashed my Sideview mirror and scuffed up my car. My insurance deductible was higher than the repair so I had to pay out-of-pocket even though it wasn't my fault. I am hoping to by the city of San Diego. I am fortunate that my insurance company recommended caliber collision. I chose the specific location because it's close to me but I hit the jackpot. The Office manager Ashley, was efficient and high functioning and hilarious so it was always fun to see her and talk with her. My service manager Fidel was very professional and very personable. He kept me updated and explained the entire process and I felt that I was getting the best customer service possible and I was being treated very respectfully. Everything was done according to what they said would happen so no surprises came my way and my car was ready when they said it would be ready. I was not able to pick it up on Friday so Fidel personally called me and said that he would be going into the office on Saturday even though they're closed and that he would let me know when he was there so that I could pick up my car and use it that weekend instead of waiting until they opened again on Monday. He called me as promised and was ready for me with all the paperwork when I got there on Saturday morning. The repair looked amazing and my car was clean and waxed and he had all the paperwork ready and so I didn't have to wait . I couldn't have had a better experience and I will come here again if I have to. My husband also had a no-fault accident coincidentally and his car is being repaired here as well. We are very thankful that we found a reputable repair location with excellent and fun employees. Out of state military beware. My son is in the Navy. He was in a light accident prior to going into a 4 week segment of training which has made him unreachable at this time. I, his dad, told him I'd come out to California and help him with logistics and paperwork while he was gone. I read the decent reviews given to this location prior to contacting them. Reached out to this specific Caliber location a week plus before my trip out to go over the accident and our particular situation, via phone to set up an appointment. Explained my son's situation thoroughly and shared the insurance information. Even talked to them about setting up delivery after car was finished and getting oil changed at a local shop, so car was finished and ready for him to use when he returned from his training. Told them to give me a delivery price and asked what additional charges I would accrue. They said that the delivery was going to be no charge, and my service advisor told me he'd run the car to Dualtone (a local mechanics shop) for an oil change once the hood was cut open (had been jammed in accident, I couldn't get the service done prior to delivery to body shop). Made all these arrangements, booked my flight and flew from Pennsylvania to California to take care of the pre-arranged business with Caliber Collision. Showed up an hour early for my appointment. Met with my service advisor. Took care of paperwork. Reaffirmed the logistics, oil change, and post repair delivery, shook hands, and walked to Enterprise for my rental. Next morning, delivered rental back, called to Caliber Collision to make sure I didn't need to sign any additional documents before I secured an Uber to drive San Diego International to catch my flight home. It was on that call they informed me that because my car was green from factory and that the top part of car was now charcoal, they could only paint the hood green. Side note, I had provided the GM paint code to them so they could paint the hood during my appointment with them on Monday, which is entirely charcoal, no "custom" masking required, as they would refinish the hood off of the car prior to final install. The manager was gracious enough (sarcasm) to give me the option to remove the car from their shop and take it somewhere else 3 hrs before my flight left, to take me back to the east coast (Brilliant plan Randy). After some grumbling on my end, because I had no choice, I was resigned to the fact that I would have a green hood. I justified it by realizing there are worse things in life. That phone call was on Tuesday morning. Yesterday evening (Wednesday), the same manager called me at my work in PA, to inform me that after talking to his superiors, they've decided to deny my job and that in order to help me out they graciuosly decided they wouldn't charge me storage while I make arrangements to have someone I know come and remove the car from their facility. I kindly reminded him that I have no one in CA. My son was unreachable and I had just returned from the trip out there, for the sole purpose of taking care of the logistics of this repair, that they have now officially have completely botched. At one point, the clueless manager told me that's "not here, nor there". My response was, "yeah, I'm fucking here, and you're fucking there!", you and your company screwed me and most disappointingly, my son, who is currently serving our country! Regardless of their reason, which at this point appears to be that my car is a "custom color" and "Erie is my insurance company", this company and location is situationally unaware. They had ample time to "deny" my repair (their manager's words not mine), the week prior to my trip and the several days I was in their state, and at the time of my appointment, but not 12 hours after my arrival back to Pennsylvania. This company apparently chooses profit over country and has abandoned basic common sense morality. I am disgusted, angry, and genuinely disappointed with their actions. I hope they see a sharp decline in their military business! Never have I ever experienced this amount of disrespect and treatment to a paying customer, and military member in all my life. They deserve to feel the heat as a result of their actions. You've all been warned! I do not recommend this establishment! read more

Nobody likes having to take their car to a body shop after some stranger hits ya near the beach; however, if you have to take your car somewhere (and got insurance) this is the spot. I've used this specific Caliber twice now over the years and service has always been incredible. The folks here are so kind and welcoming, eager to please and they never cut corners. Caliber's warranty is also spectacular so you know that if there are ANY issues, whether with some paint you got fixed up or whole parts replaced, they will take care of it. Ashley at the front desk is wonderful, Ben the manager is a great guy, and the rest of the team is solid. I was under a lot of stress after being involved in two not at fault car accidents within 3 days and was desperately calling car repair shops to get a quote before my trip. Ben, the office manager, was so helpful and nice and helped get me both quotes right away without an appointment. He then helped arrange for my car to get fixed even though they don't normally work with the insurance company of the person that hit my car. My car was fixed quickly despite car part supply chain issues and I was really happy with all the repairs!
