I had to take my car in to Caliber because I was side swiped by a tow truck who took the turn to close. The driver was friendly as well as the towing company and took full responsibility of getting my car repaired. I had to take my car into the body shop they had a relationship to get it fixed. Although I probably pass quite a few Caliber's on my way, was told to contact Sedrik so I complied. From the first call I knew I was working with the right company. Sedrik was an absolute gem. He was very communicative and even gave me his personal cell phone to arrange a time to drop off my car. He provided timely status updates and even finished my car ahead of schedule. Even the whole office vibe is great. The employees are very friendly and all genuinely seem to like each other and the company. Caliber Collision very efficiently took care of our damaged car. They delivered the car days earlier than estimated and took care of us at every step of the way. They offered additional services such as a free shuttle to Enterprise Car Rental at 17th and Wilshire and they even offered to return the rental car for us after our car was fully repaired. Angel (our customer care person at 11th and Olympic) was very knowledgeable and helpful. He gave terrific customer care! And a nicer person could not have been hoped for...he is a great asset to the operations at Caliber Collision. He made what was essentially a traumatic ordeal far less bothersome or troublesome or onerous by taking charge of every step of the repair process and keeping us constantly informed as the repairs were completed. One in a million! I didn't think businesses like this existed anymore. Honest, perfection, reasonable and VIP service. Brought in a 2022 Black Porsche 911 Cabriolet Hit a curb and scraped the front spoiler pretty bad. Dropped it off Monday around 11am and they called me Friday around 2 or 3 o'clock and said the washed right now, so it's ready to go. It was as if it never happened and in and out within 5 days. Are you kidding me? I told a friend about it and she said her Cayenne has been at a body shop for over 2 months and the damage want even that bad. She said she wished she had gone to Caliber. The service was delinquent, and the repair job was shotty at best. It took twice as long as I was told, and a few years now down the road, the repair they did using Bondo is completely puckering and flaking off the panel that was fixed by them. When I returned, they refused to honor their lifetime warranty and pointed to other small scratches on the car. The manager said that the warranty would only have been good if there were no other dings on the car. Clearly their poor Bondo work had nothing to do with the small scratches elsewhere. The manager also pointed out that there was no date on the paperwork I was given at the time of the repair, as if that's my fault. It was their paperwork that they gave me, glad I kept track of it, they had no record of the repair in their system. There was no apology that their work had failed, and clearly no intent to make it right. read more

I was given an estimate of $10-12k and a 1 month turn around for a scratch on my car- they made me feel like I had no other option and needed to file a claim with my insurance because it was SO incredibly expensive. I got another estimate from a different body shop who was able to do a perfect job in 2 days for $1500. I feel that as a young, petite woman who went alone that I was taken advantage of in this situation and they just tried to get as much money as possible, assuming I wouldn't know any better. Do NOT go here without getting at least 2 other estimates because they will try and get as much out of you as possible. Or at least bring a man with you when you go because there will probably be less BS, as sad as that is. read more

This time the damage was a little more severe and so they transported the car to their Santa Monica facility. Like last time, customer service was very good. tl;dr - This shop goes above and beyond in every aspect of service. Not only do they do good work on the car, they also provide excellent customer service which is so often neglected these days. I would 100% recommend this place for any repairs and Hayk as the repair advisor. I have had no prior experience dealing with body shops. However that changed after thieves stole my car and scratched it up/ruined the interior and Geico advised me to come here for an estimate. I didn't have much hope that the car could be fixed/restored to original conditions given that the thieves did some hard drugs and spilled soda inside. The bumper also seemed pretty far gone. I reported all the damages and after some back and forth with Geico, they surprisingly allowed the repair to go through. At this point I didn't know what to expect and exactly what the shop could do but boy did they deliver. I worked with a gentleman named Hayk and he was meticulous in marking any damages I found and pointed out other small damages I didn't catch initially. I have attached a picture of how bad the rear bumper was before. There were numerous spots on the car that were just as bad. After this, Hayk gave me a timeline and proceeded to update me with pictures throughout the repair process - checking in at every step, which was completely unexpected. I have had this car for 14 years and have developed sentimental attachment to it. Seeing these updates definitely brought reassurance that it was in good hands. I have never received such thorough and comprehensive service anywhere else so would definitely recommend them on this fact alone. The interior of the car was another pain point and I was happy to find that they had cleaned every inch of the car to essentially original conditions. Imagine that - 14 year old car that never had a detail in its lifetime now looks the way it did on day 1. I couldn't believe my eyes when I first saw it and wondered why I had not detailed it sooner. They were not only able to get rid of all the soda spills/stains/drug odors left by the thieves, but make the interior condition much better. Besides the phenomenal work they did on the car, which is already worthy of a 5 star review, I would also like to mention that they were extremely accommodating. Due to some scheduling conflicts, I wasn't able to come pick up the car immediately after they were finished with repairs. They immediately offered to drop it off at my place since it was only 10 minutes away. However, I still preferred to pick it up in person but would be several days late. They were flexible and allowed me to do this. Some places likely charge exorbitant storage fees but Caliber Collisions was cool enough to hold onto the car for a few more days without charge. On the day of pickup, Hayk stayed late so he could personally sign off the car to me. I hope from my lengthy review that you arrive at the same conclusion I did: This shop goes above and beyond in every aspect of service. My car was involved in a collision that caused damage to the rear bumper and taillight of my Audi A5. As a State Farm certified repair facility, the process of scheduling the appointment and dropping the car for estimate/repair was very easy and they already had all of my information when I arrived for the estimate. Gerry was the customer service lead assigned to my repair and he was really great. He quickly did a walk around of the vehicle and scheduled me for the repairs that afternoon. His communication was excellent, receiving the estimate quote in about 48 hours and subsequent updates on how the repairs were progressing. I brought the car in on a Monday and the repairs were completed (with a car wash!) by Friday 5pm! Overall, I am very happy with the fantastic service and repairs. If you want a place that prioritizes cheap parts and saving your insurance company money - then CALIBER is the way to go! I was floored by the unprofessional nature of this shop. They are 100 percent an "Insurance Shop." If you don't know what that means, it basically means they are there to serve your insurance company, not you, and to make sure they get the cheapest repair possible. This include using used and junk yard parts. Be aware that you are entitled under California law to request OEM and new parts and have your vehicle restored back to its original condition. Not use parts that are from a wrecked vehicle that somehow managed to survive. You are not their customer, your insurance company is. Also - depending on your vehicle, the use of non-OEM parts could invalidate your warranty. And go to a place that is CERTIFIED to repair you make of vehicle. It is likely that Caliber is not because that requires them to get approved by the manufacturers. read more
