Westwood Auto has enough property space to service many cars and --unlike other nearby German car mechanics-- they dont cram the cars in like sardines and so its not nerve-wracking to drive in and out. I just had a wonderful experience at Westwood Auto! My car had a blinker light out so I called Westwood Auto yesterday to see if I could bring in my car either same day or next day. I was told next day would be fine and I got there right when they opened. Not only were they super efficient, they were also very kind. They told me they actually replaced 3 bulbs (I had asked for both blinkers just in case) because another seemed like it should be replaced. Traveling on the 405 when an exposed box truck had something come flying out of the back of it, hit a car to the left of me, of which said debris came flying into my car and forcing me to run over it and subsequently damaging my Tesla's undercarriage--causing an absurd scraping noise whilst driving. As I always do with my cars (even with an electric one in this case ) I rushed to Kenny to see if he could help me out as I was extremely strapped for time and he didn't hesitate to help me out. Immediately he put my car on the lift and got to work, fixing the undercarriage like nothing ever even happened. This is a review that is long overdue. I have been using Westwood Auto for the past 5 or 6 years. I initially found them out of convenience since it was just down the street from where we lived at the time. Kenny and his team are incredible. I have brought my car there multiple times for headlight issues; air conditioning issues; cracked shock absorber; coolant issues; when I ran over a curb; etc. Kenny has always made time for me to have the car looked at, give me a quote on what is needed and then fix the work in the time promised at the quoted price. The thing that sticks out about the service received there is that I always feel like I get an honest evaluation of my car and am never worried about being oversold on a service I don't need. Even when I had other centers suggesting work, he has let me know when it wasn't required (replacing brakes etc). His prices have always beat what others have quoted me. Even though we moved further away recently, I still plan to bring my car in for service or repairs whenever needed, because i can sleep well knowing that i am not being taken advantage of and my car will be fixed properly. read more

Disappointed with my experience here. I was involved in a car accident and I wanted to get a written quote. I called ahead of time and they said I could come in whenever. I came on a Saturday afternoon and once I pulled in, the guy who greeted us took a very brief look at my car and gave us a quick verbal quote. I don't think the quote they gave me was accurate as he barely even looked at my car, he didn't ask to look under the hood or even thoroughly inspected anything. I asked if I could have a written quote but he said I'd have bring out an insurance adjuster before they could help me out. I went to another auto body shop and they took a much more extensive look at my car and were able to give me a written quote no problem. It felt like a waste of time coming here. read more

Was referred by a co-worker to Kenny for some minor body work four years ago. Turned out great! Fast forward, my 2012 Audi A4 is definitely needing some mechanical love. I had a diagnostic done at a place close to work when my check engine light started coming on intermittently and was quoted much more than I could do at the moment (dealing with lots of medical bills), so without any obvious symptoms I crossed my fingers, watched my gauges, and continued to drive short distances. And then my window regulator gave out and my window dropped. Knowing I couldn't continue to drive this way I asked my neighbor (who I had referred to Kenny for some body work) if she had a good mechanic for her older Mercedes - she said she would only bring her car to him. Ah! I guess for some reason I thought Kenny just did body work. So I go see him again. He said he could fix it, then check the codes and deal with those issues. I was so worried I'd have to rent a car (even more budget busting) or spend lots of money on lyft/uber with my car in the shop, but he quoted me a VERY fair price on the window, ordered it, and said they would start immediately and have it fixed by the end of the day. He called about the codes and what was needed. Took care of the most crucial issue, explained why I can wait to do the other one until later. My Tesla Model Y had a small dent on the left fender near the side marker. Side marker and camera worked well w/ no problem. Was referred to Kenny by a friend who had a dent issue and highly recommended this place. I decided to go here because all of the Tesla recommended collision repair places charged more than $5000 for a small dent! Either they would have to replace the whole fender and would take more than a month for the fender to come in. Some places told me that I had to possibly replace my side marker w/ camera! Even after telling them that my side marker and camera was not damaged and worked fine. I texted and called Kenny. He answered right away and was very polite! He told me to swing by whenever I can so he can take a look at the dent. And when I did he was waiting for me and was very welcoming. He quoted me in less than 5 mins! Price was more than half I would've paid for at the collision repair places Tesla recommended! Kenny gave me a time range of a week and half. Which was a better timeline than all of the other collision repair told me. Dropped the car off last week. The same day he sent me an update of my car with the dent already fixed! Just needed to be painted and polished. Was very impressed with the work ethic and communication. Got my car a week later detailed and looking new! Great quality work and the paint looks exactly like factory paint! He even offered to touch up a couple small paint chips on the back bumper for no charge. He got my car done half a week early! I'm sure he could've got it done earlier if it wasn't for the heavy rain over the weekend. So glad I went here instead rather than going to a collision repair!
