This place basically sucks. Prices aren't bad but as they say "you get what you pay for". No pride in what they do as I had to get a section of my car repainted less than 6 years after they repainted it. Paint was just flat out blistering and peeling off smooth which shows lack of adequate surface prep and lack of cleanliness. My bad for not taking it back to them but just didn't want another shitty pass at it from them. Way too many smaller family owned businesses that out their name behind what they do. I had to bring my vehicle to the Kashiwa location to correct the wrong of the 190th location in Torrance, CA. Ana was AWESOME!! We met at the Kashiwa Torrance, CA location. I was exceptionally satisfied at the fact that my car was finished with repairs sooner than expected. I was given an estimate date of Sept 15 and I received a call on Sept 11 that my car was ready! Kat, the receptionist, was always friendly and answered any and all of my questions. Ignacio, the repair advisor, stayed in constant communication with my repair updates. I was especially impressed with the follow up call on the estimated repair time the same day I turned in my car for the repair. Overall, this caliber collision exceeded my expectations and I would always recommend this location to anyone who I know needs a car repair in the future. I called and spoke with Kat at Caliber Collision. She set everything up over the phone time and date to drop off my truck. I pulled in on March 19, 2024 @ 3 pm. once I arrived and parked, I went on inside and met Kat. She quickly got me started with the paperwork, and I signed away. Excellent customer service!! Jorge came out, and we went to view my vehicle. He took his photos and told me my truck would be ready on Friday, 29,2024 I received a call and was told my vehicle was ready on March 27, 2024. Excellent work and even better customer service. We could not be happier and grateful for the professionalism and kind understanding of our circumstances. I'm a Canadian and my daughter was working on a three month internship in Torrance, CA. Two weeks before the end of her internship her car was at the end of a three car pile up on HWY 110. Thankfully no injuries but some significant damage to the rear of the car. We don't live in Torrance and we did not know one shop from another, so I asked an old friend who he recommended, and that was Caliber. They made the process of fixing my car so much easier than I could have imagined, and I legitimately think they made my car look better than it did before it was hit. For reference if anyone is looking for a place to get their car repaired, I have Geico, but I believe they work with several other insurance companies. My car is a Volkswagen GTI. In short, caliber collision did a great job. Here is what it looked like for me if anyone wants excessive details about the process: I made an appointment 2 days in advance. I showed up, and they did an inspection of my car with me present. After that, I handed over the keys and was given a ride to the enterprise which was very nice. From then on I would receive updates on my phone about the repair, such as what stage it was at: body work, reassembly, etc. It also included a link to your estimate and roughly what everything would cost. They encourage you to ask questions about the repairs. I asked about my foglight to make sure it was in the estimate, and it was. They made an effort to finish the repairs before Geico's rental allowance ran out. Come to the day of pickup, I called in advance to make sure everything was A-ok. I drove the rental there after work (caliber collision has enterprise come pick up the rental, enterprise is the one that works with Geico so I don't know if there's any variance there based on your provider). My service advisor Jesus gave me a rundown of anything I needed to know before I left while letting me look over the car. It was a great overall experience and both of the service advisors I interacted with were very personable and helpful. I can't quite remember her name unfortunately, but the service advisor that helped me during initial inspection was wonderful too. Final thoughts: I recommend this place, great customer service, good experience, and right on time. It does ask for a quick review on carwise after (which I did separately), but I wanted to write an independent review after that one because I love my car and seeing it done so well I couldn't not write a review. read more

No one wants to end up at a collision center, but if you do, I say consider these guys. The service was good, but could have been better. That's not to say the staff was rude, they weren't. They did a good job doing the repairs to my car and took a little bit longer to repair (eventually ended up getting a whole new bumper in the end) than anticipated, but that was their fault. What kept this place from getting a 5 star review was an inconvience on their part. I got regular updates via text on the status of the repair of my car which was really good. What irritated me was the text and phone call telling me my car repair was done and I can pick up my vehicle. I called and spoke to the receptionist the day I got both messages and arranged to pick up my car the next day. I returned the rental car, got a ride to the collision center only to be told when I arrived my car wasn't ready and that they had to keep my car up to another day or two. Why didn't anyone call me in the morning or the previous evening to tell me they had made a mistake and that repairs weren't finished as previously thought ? I had wasted 2 1/2 hours of my day (thankfully, I wasn't working that day) only to have to turn around and get back another car rental for another 6 days (not the 2 days I was told). The collision center did pay for the extra days of car rental since it was their fault, but what ticked me off was the inconvenience and no communication my car wasn't ready for pick up until I arrived. The third trip back to the shop almost a week later was when I actually got my car back. So, while this place may get a 5 star rating from AAA, I HIGHLY suggest you confirm with a representative via phone that your vehicle truly is ready to be picked up before you waste your time returning your rental vehicle only to have to go back and re-rent another car. Would I use them again?? I'd make sure my car was ready for pick up next time, if I need them. read more

I went to Caliber Torrance after a fender bender mid July, 2023 that left the front bumper of my Alfa Romeo Stelvio dented and cracked and scrapes all along the passenger side doors and the rear end. Because my car is considered a luxury vehicle, they transferred it to Caliber Santa Monica. It took a month to get the call that my car was finished being repaired, I believe due to the fact that some parts weren't readily available. Luckily the work was completed at the same time my rental coverage from my insurance company ended. I went to retrieve my car and noticed that my brake light didn't work and my front light had been replaced with an old cloudy one. I made the technician aware of the issues. They offered to have my car picked up from me while I was at work the next day. The next day I waited and eventually learned that they misjudged the time they had to retrieve the car. So a plan was made to have my car picked up the following day. I was disappointed, but they did come the next day on time. The lights were repaired. My paint job looked phenomenal. I was pleased. Until later that day I noticed that my fancy bejeweled car air freshener holder was missing. My first thought was that it was knocked off and misplaced. I would have chalked it up to a mistake until I realized that my replacement air freshener cartridges were also missing. This was INTENTIONAL theft of my belongings. Though the items were inexpensive, I felt violated. I immediately made the Caliber technician who was helping me aware. Without hesitation or much inquiry, he offered me a $100 refund. My thought is that there must be recurring incidents like mine. After much back and forth about who between Caliber Torrance and Santa Monica would reimburse me, I was finally paid about 3 weeks after I was promised. My hope is that they find out who the thief is and fire him. It is unsettling to know that a professional company can't be trusted. I just hope nothing else was stolen that I'm still not aware of. Overall, the work done on my car was great. The paintjob is beautiful. But, the issue with my lights was annoying. And the THEFT left a horrible taste in my mouth. I would recommend that anyone headed to either of these Caliber shops double check their work. I imagine that if my boyfriend was not with me to see that my lights were not repaired properly, I might have not realized it until later and they possibly could have denied fault. I also advise to leave NOTHING behind in your vehicle - not even air freshener! read more

I highly recommend that you do not bring your vehicle for repairs at this Caliber location. I brought it in for bumper repair. They fixed the bumper, however, the color doesn't match 100%. In addition, now there are chunks (not chips) of paint missing on the trunk, and various spots on the left hand side of the car. Jessica, the service advisor, stated that was the condition in which the car was dropped off. She showed me the drawing where they noted the tree "zap" (sap) damage that I signed off on. I reminded her that I signed the document and emailed it to them PRIOR to the notes on the drawing because they asked I fill out the form PRIOR to my estimate/repair appointment. She also showed me pictures of my vehicle, but when I asked for the time stamp, she told me there was no such thing. Whereas, it is basic knowledge there is a date and time stamp on every file and photo that is downloaded on a computer. My car may have been dirty at time of drop off, but there weren't a bunch of areas on the vehicle where paint was missing. And yes, I took photos of the same area before I dropped off the car, emailing those photos to Caliber PRIOR to the estimate/repair appointment, so they should have those on file, as I do. I took another look at my car once I got it home, and there all kinds of scratches all over the car that weren't there previously. There is obviously no quick fix. The entire car would need to be repainted. read more

This is really not the kind of review that I like to write. And, it is very rare that I find the need to write a one star review. But, with Caliber Collision, this is the best I can give them. To tell the story, somebody backed into one of our cars at the supermarket and left without leaving any information. We called our insurance company and they told us to take it to Caliber to be fixed. This is what we did. To be fair, everybody that I spoke with at Caliber Collision is very nice and they repaired the car quickly. But, this is not to say that they did a good or an honest job in the repair of the car. When we went to pick the car up, it was very noticeable that they did not correctly color match the bumper of the car with the body. Of course, they had a long list of excuses why not. But, as somebody who knows a lot about paint, I can tell you with certainty that you can match paint perfectly if you care enough to try. The next issue is that the person we were working with, Jessica, flat out lied to my wife when she was there to pick up the car. After initially looking at the car, I left. My wife was questioning the work that had been done. Jessica told her that she had drawn up a sketch of everything that was wrong with the car and I had approved it. This is a lie! What actually happened is she said she was going to prepare the paper work and if I would like to wait for twenty minutes or so I could then take a look at it. I told her I would prefer to leave and she said she would email it to us. This is somethings she never did. Because I was not there when my wife was speaking with her I could not contest what Jessica said. Thus, my wife believed her. This is the wrong way to do business! Plus, if I had seen that paperwork where is my signature of approval? In the past, when I have taken a car to a body shop for a repair they have always done things like wash and polish the car when it was finished. Caliber did not do this. Also, when my wife picked up the car she was told that there was some sap that had dripped on the car and Jessica told her that she had told me about it. Again, this is a lie! Moreover, you would think that a body shop would have the care for the customer that they would do things like the small job of rubbing out a small amount of sap, which was in the same area as the repair, before they returned a car to the owner. Caliber did not do this either. Overall, I would not recommend this location of Caliber Collision. read more
