Quality of work is horrible. Unprofessional. They cut corners didn't replace parts that were damaged that they were supposed to replace. Overspray everywhere scratches and big fish eye imperfections, very noticeable in the repainted areas. I dropped it off at the shop and they subbed it out to a different location. Whatever employee they let Paint this vehicle should not be in the paint booth. Do not take your car to this company. I understand it's not gonna be perfect, but there were so many repair issues that a blind person could point out. I will be reporting back to the insurance and requesting another company do the repairs.They even used spray paint to fix tow hook. So now I have one powder coated gloss black hook and one spray painted dented flat black hook. It's laughable. read more

What a gentleman he is. Granted my accident wasn't terrible so it shouldn't have taken that long, but, I was quoted five days and the turnaround time was literally 2 1/2 days. They did a great job thank you so much. My husband had a car accident too, he also took his car here so we both had nothing but great experience. Very poor experience considering this is a Mercedes Certified Repair shop. I arranged a car repair estimate prior to an overseas trip and requested the advisor, David Perez, to call me on the progress and any additional information he needed from me. He never called or texted and provided a very high estimate to my insurance company AAA without speaking to me first. Both AAA and Caliber deemed it a total loss (salvage) and advised me accordingly of my options. This made no sense to me since the damage to the rear right of the car appeared to be only to the tail light, bumper, sensor and maybe the quarter panel. SEE PICTURE ATTACHED with initial damage. The FMV determined by Caliber was extremely low since they did not factor in the engine rebuild a year and a half ago and other costs which enhanced the value and life of the vehicle. AAA was awful in their assistance in trying to redetermine the FMV, the overall salvage process (I had no experience with this) and they kept hassling to pick up my vehicle due to the storage charges they had to pay Caliber. After returning from overseas and to my SURPRISE, the advisor told me the vehicle was not driveable since they had to remove various parts of the vehicle for their estimate. SEE PICTURE ATTACHED. UNFORTUNATELY, this was never explained to me when I dropped off the car and in addition, I was charged a $174 fee for the estimate (which I also was unaware of)...probably in the lengthy paper work I initially signed. How does AAA expect for me to get other repair estimates from other providers in this case? Very poor service and communications from both AAA and Caliber. Extremely disappointed at this point with limited options to get my vehicle back on the road due to the poor service and communications. I do not recommend this repair shop. read more

My service advisor Jesse was incredible. He went above and beyond. Everything else was a nightmare. They needed to replace the rear suspension on my car. Strut and some lateral bars. Well I was under the car and on the side they replaced, they put a stock end link back on my sway bar when I had thicker, aftermarket parts installed. It's blatantly obvious and don't know what they were thinking! I've also had horrible sound coming out of my speaker ever since they worked on my car the first time. I finally pulled the speaker out to find it's been irreparably damaged! A set of $100 end links gone, and now I find out my speaker, which I thought was a wiring issue, was actually damaged by this place. On top of that they grossly overcharge on the estimates, they billed State Farm $1500 for a part that is literally MSRP $1200 from the dealer. You can't get more expensive than that yet Caliber somehow found a way to do that. I think this place needs to be investigated for some massive fraud on their estimates and they clearly owe me a few hundred dollars for what's occurred. At this point an arbitration claim is inevitable. read more

This place basically sucks. Prices aren't bad but as they say "you get what you pay for". No pride in what they do as I had to get a section of my car repainted less than 6 years after they repainted it. Paint was just flat out blistering and peeling off smooth which shows lack of adequate surface prep and lack of cleanliness. My bad for not taking it back to them but just didn't want another shitty pass at it from them. Way too many smaller family owned businesses that out their name behind what they do. I was exceptionally satisfied at the fact that my car was finished with repairs sooner than expected. I was given an estimate date of Sept 15 and I received a call on Sept 11 that my car was ready! Kat, the receptionist, was always friendly and answered any and all of my questions. Ignacio, the repair advisor, stayed in constant communication with my repair updates. I was especially impressed with the follow up call on the estimated repair time the same day I turned in my car for the repair. I pulled in on March 19, 2024 @ 3 pm. once I arrived and parked, I went on inside and met Kat. She quickly got me started with the paperwork, and I signed away. Excellent customer service!! Jorge came out, and we went to view my vehicle. He took his photos and told me my truck would be ready on Friday, 29,2024 I received a call and was told my vehicle was ready on March 27, 2024. I'm a Canadian and my daughter was working on a three month internship in Torrance, CA. Two weeks before the end of her internship her car was at the end of a three car pile up on HWY 110. Thankfully no injuries but some significant damage to the rear of the car. We don't live in Torrance and we did not know one shop from another, so I asked an old friend who he recommended, and that was Caliber. They made the process of fixing my car so much easier than I could have imagined, and I legitimately think they made my car look better than it did before it was hit. For reference if anyone is looking for a place to get their car repaired, I have Geico, but I believe they work with several other insurance companies. My car is a Volkswagen GTI. In short, caliber collision did a great job. Here is what it looked like for me if anyone wants excessive details about the process: I made an appointment 2 days in advance. I showed up, and they did an inspection of my car with me present. After that, I handed over the keys and was given a ride to the enterprise which was very nice. From then on I would receive updates on my phone about the repair, such as what stage it was at: body work, reassembly, etc. It also included a link to your estimate and roughly what everything would cost. They encourage you to ask questions about the repairs. I asked about my foglight to make sure it was in the estimate, and it was. They made an effort to finish the repairs before Geico's rental allowance ran out. Come to the day of pickup, I called in advance to make sure everything was A-ok. I drove the rental there after work (caliber collision has enterprise come pick up the rental, enterprise is the one that works with Geico so I don't know if there's any variance there based on your provider). My service advisor Jesus gave me a rundown of anything I needed to know before I left while letting me look over the car. It was a great overall experience and both of the service advisors I interacted with were very personable and helpful. I can't quite remember her name unfortunately, but the service advisor that helped me during initial inspection was wonderful too. Final thoughts: I recommend this place, great customer service, good experience, and right on time. It does ask for a quick review on carwise after (which I did separately), but I wanted to write an independent review after that one because I love my car and seeing it done so well I couldn't not write a review. read more

No one wants to end up at a collision center, but if you do, I say consider these guys. The service was good, but could have been better. That's not to say the staff was rude, they weren't. They did a good job doing the repairs to my car and took a little bit longer to repair (eventually ended up getting a whole new bumper in the end) than anticipated, but that was their fault. What kept this place from getting a 5 star review was an inconvience on their part. I got regular updates via text on the status of the repair of my car which was really good. What irritated me was the text and phone call telling me my car repair was done and I can pick up my vehicle. I called and spoke to the receptionist the day I got both messages and arranged to pick up my car the next day. I returned the rental car, got a ride to the collision center only to be told when I arrived my car wasn't ready and that they had to keep my car up to another day or two. Why didn't anyone call me in the morning or the previous evening to tell me they had made a mistake and that repairs weren't finished as previously thought ? I had wasted 2 1/2 hours of my day (thankfully, I wasn't working that day) only to have to turn around and get back another car rental for another 6 days (not the 2 days I was told). The collision center did pay for the extra days of car rental since it was their fault, but what ticked me off was the inconvenience and no communication my car wasn't ready for pick up until I arrived. The third trip back to the shop almost a week later was when I actually got my car back. So, while this place may get a 5 star rating from AAA, I HIGHLY suggest you confirm with a representative via phone that your vehicle truly is ready to be picked up before you waste your time returning your rental vehicle only to have to go back and re-rent another car. Would I use them again?? I'd make sure my car was ready for pick up next time, if I need them. read more

I went to Caliber Torrance after a fender bender mid July, 2023 that left the front bumper of my Alfa Romeo Stelvio dented and cracked and scrapes all along the passenger side doors and the rear end. Because my car is considered a luxury vehicle, they transferred it to Caliber Santa Monica. It took a month to get the call that my car was finished being repaired, I believe due to the fact that some parts weren't readily available. Luckily the work was completed at the same time my rental coverage from my insurance company ended. I went to retrieve my car and noticed that my brake light didn't work and my front light had been replaced with an old cloudy one. I made the technician aware of the issues. They offered to have my car picked up from me while I was at work the next day. The next day I waited and eventually learned that they misjudged the time they had to retrieve the car. So a plan was made to have my car picked up the following day. I was disappointed, but they did come the next day on time. The lights were repaired. My paint job looked phenomenal. I was pleased. Until later that day I noticed that my fancy bejeweled car air freshener holder was missing. My first thought was that it was knocked off and misplaced. I would have chalked it up to a mistake until I realized that my replacement air freshener cartridges were also missing. This was INTENTIONAL theft of my belongings. Though the items were inexpensive, I felt violated. I immediately made the Caliber technician who was helping me aware. Without hesitation or much inquiry, he offered me a $100 refund. My thought is that there must be recurring incidents like mine. After much back and forth about who between Caliber Torrance and Santa Monica would reimburse me, I was finally paid about 3 weeks after I was promised. My hope is that they find out who the thief is and fire him. It is unsettling to know that a professional company can't be trusted. I just hope nothing else was stolen that I'm still not aware of. Overall, the work done on my car was great. The paintjob is beautiful. But, the issue with my lights was annoying. And the THEFT left a horrible taste in my mouth. I would recommend that anyone headed to either of these Caliber shops double check their work. I imagine that if my boyfriend was not with me to see that my lights were not repaired properly, I might have not realized it until later and they possibly could have denied fault.
