A few paint scratches and minor damage to my rim is all that my vehicle sustained in a parking lot incident. The Service Advisor, John Hernandez, took a look all around my car and assured me that the damages weren't that bad and that Collision could have it looking like new in approximately 3 days. I dropped my car off on a Wednesday, on Thursday, I received a courtesy call from John informing me of any damages they may have found other than what he assessed originally, (behind the fender, or underneath the bumper etc.) of which there where none and to let me know work was underway. The third day, Friday, he called once again and stated that my car is now being washed and waxed and will be ready to pick up shortly! John had the guys repair a couple of paint scrapes on the other side of my vehicle while they we at it and at no additional charge. Consider yourself warmed. Car accidents suck but what would be even more suckier is if you think Caliber is going to fix your car for you. I was in this unfortunate position a few years ago and am still regretting it to this day. My car actually fell apart in the weeks after I picked it up from these guys. I didn't mind that it took them literally six weeks to "repair" the damages from the accident. But what really bothered me was the fact that our doors didn't close right, our third row seats had trouble folding and the carpet was jacked up. I ended up taking our car back to them about 2 or 3 more times before I finally gave up. We had a lovely rental that we returned when we got our car back the first time, then had to rent additional cars for the second or third time it went back to the shop for repairs. Seriously... I've taken my car here about 3 or 4 times. Every time I take my car to get fixed the workers here go above and beyond. Quick story: Earlier this year I ran over something on the freeway and it left horrible scratches on my front bumper. I was involved in a fender bender and I wanted to pay cash for the repair rather than go through my insurance company. I was at fault, so the other driver chose Caliber Collision. Edwin Gualito was the employee who handled the repair and he was excellent! He carefully assessed the damage and generated a quote and gave me a copy. I let him know that I was paying for the repair and car rental out of my own pocket, so I would appreciate it if they could finish the car by Friday so I wouldn't have to pay for a car rental over the weekend. He said he would do his best. So, nearly every day, Edwin would send me an e-mail or call me and update me on the status of the repair. I was involved in a hit and run and had the repair work done at this location. The five stars are for the estimator, George Barillas, with whom my insurance company paired me up. George is efficient and has a positive demeanor. He assured me that the order for the parts for my car can be placed immediately. Repair was prompt. Normally the last pick-up is at five in the afternoon, but George had kindly offered in advance to stay later, just as to accommodate if need be. The end result was more than welcome. I got frequent updates via email and text thanks to Lawrence. My car was done when they had given me the estimated date. Enterprise rental is located next door so it was very convenient for me.
