It's packed with flavor, generously portioned, and the toasted pita chips were delicious and unique addition to the wrap. The curbside pickup was quick and convenient. I have been a long-time customer of CCC for years. Tonight, I ordered a salad and requested not to have any pasta or Chinese noodles as I am gluten intolerant. Yelp uses GrubHub as the conduit for the delivery order. So I placed the order with the specific notation in 2 different places in the system. About 45 minutes later, I got the salad and to my surprise, the salad had Chinese noodles. I called the restaurant and they gave me 2 options: come by and they will give me a new salad or call GrubHub for a refund. I wanted a new salad correctly prepared and delivered to me. That was not an option offered by the restaurant. I spoke with Alvin and he was not cooperative to say the least. He would neither help nor do anything to fix the issue. I called GrubHub and cancelled the order. I then placed a new order, and this time I made the salad bigger with more ingredients as the original order was quite small compared to the container it came with. I wrote in large letter "PLEASE NO PASTA. NO CHINESE NOODLES. I am gluten intolerant." The salad now cost me $8 more but I was looking forward to a properly made salad as I was very hungry. Fast forward 40 minutes and the new order was delivered. The container now had much more salad. I was delighted and hungry. I grabbed a fork and started checking the salad, and to my shock, there were small pieces of the Chinese Noodle all concentrated in one area. NO! REALLY? I am so allergic that this could cause major damage to my health. I called and again spoke to Alvin at the restaurant. I asked him if anyone there is trying to kill me. He put me on hold and came back after a few minutes later saying that the preparer assures him that there was no gluten in the salad, and he checked the salad as well. He was even less helpful this time and was not willing to provide any accommodations. Again, I had to be the problem solver and had to call GrubHub again to get a refund. Now I have 2 salads to throw away. CCC has lost me as a customer. I've been using their various locations for well over 15 years. Thank you for leaving a long term patron hungry with zero accountability. Never again. read more

Seems like she hates her job, she was rude the minute she yelled out "next" she seemed bothered for every question asked, forgot my number since she never handed me one, gave me a look (if looks could kill I'd be dead). She asked the customer behind me "what can I get for you, when my credit card transaction was still printing and I was still in front of her. Chicken it is. They serve white meat chicken, dark meat chicken, quarter chicken, half chicken, whole chicken, chicken wraps, chicken salad, along with all its sides that comes with it... Yes, chicken galore! The chicken here is fresh and it's prepared well. I use to eat only white meat for protein purposes when I was younger... Only to help muscle growth. But now, it's all hogwash because I won't deprived myself from good food anymore. So now, I only order dark meat. Why? Because dark meat tastes better, and it's not nearly as dry. I ordered their half chicken combination. One wing, one thigh, and a drumstick. Along with the combo, I had an order of Broccoli Pasta Salad, and some white fajita bread. Very good! Especially the pasta see salad. Very flavorful as it is also healthy! My chicken was good only because it wasn't dry. But, their propertions are tiny. Fajita bread came with it too. But really, I thought it wasn't necessary we already bite the meat off its bone, caveman style! They should use the bread as an option, or just give us more chicken, more salad, or even a drink to take it's place. Basically you are better off buying a ten piece chicken at a few dollars more, and eliminate the sides and/or the bread. That will totally be more worthwhile. I'm not disappointed at their food, but rather need to me smarter and order al la carte, and get side orders separately too. This place is busy. People comes and leave quickly. They have a small parking lot adjacent to the building. It does get full. Servers and order takers are nice. They quickly take your order, give a number, and is served quite fast. The salads at CCC are excellent. Decent portions and a good variety of salad options. My main complaint is that they only do orders outdoors and parking is a bit of an issue. I parked in the drive through pickup line just for a couple mins and I got honked at and berated by another disgruntled male customer, I had to give him a few words myself. I love this place! I came here with a friend after a hike on a Saturday around noon. It wasn't too busy inside but got progressively busier during our meal. I ordered the Chinese chicken wrap with broccoli pasta salad on the side and she got the Chinese chicken salad. Each dish was about $11. The salad portions are huge! They definitely do not skimp on any of the toppings. The wrap was a good size too and the pasta salad was so delicious. Definitely a fan of this place for a healthy and hearty meal. Overall I love California chicken Café so this review is only for this particular location. I ordered a chicken Caesar wrap with no mayonnaise because it already comes with Caesar dressing which I like, so there was no need for all of that extra creaminess and calories in my lunch. Turns out they hardly added any Caesar dressing and since I went without the mayo, my wrap was extremely dry. It was also 70% lettuce, which was browning on ends and had hardly any chicken in there. The chicken it did have was also dark meat. I have had this wrap many times before over the years at various locations and it's always made white white meat chicken. So this was disappointing. I also found pieces of tendon in my wrap that I practically choked on. I found them in my mouth when I noticed a crunch that I know was not the croutons in there and spit it out. I'm extremely dissatisfied. The wraps are not that big and come in at around $9 WITHOUT a side so I expect something of decent quality, what I got was anything but that. I'm a loyal CCCA patron but I'll skip this location. read more

If you have any food allergies I recommend you avoid this or any CCC location. The company has a policy not to share their dressing ingredient information (https://califchickencafe.com/policiesandfaqs/). If you ask the people working at a location, they will at most take your name down or direct you to a corporate resource. Looking at past reviews on Yelp, it looks like they have refused to provide allergy information for years now. I understand their desire to protect themselves against a lawsuit, but the company seems committed to not improving in this regard. All in all to avoid a headache if you or anyone in your party has a food allergy, I strongly suggest you avoid CCC. If you don't have food allergies, the salads are great. Seeing how my friend was treated though when trying to confirm the food was safe for them to eat, makes me reluctant to recommend or eat here again. read more
