sea bass plate with seasonal veggies and roasted potatoes
    Hayden L.

The service was quick and friendly. You order at the counter and they bring it to your table. The Seabass was tasty as were the sides of seasonal vegetables and roasted potatoes. I wish the Seabass was a little bit bigger in portion for the price. The ambiance is casual and clean. There's a free parking structure and it's in the same complex as the AMC for a bite to eat before or after a movie.

    Green Pozole (bowl)

I've lost count how many times I've eaten at Tender Greens and it's always consistently a really good option. They have salads, sandwiches, soups, bowls, and plates but I tend to always get a soup or plate. The portion sizes are not very large, however, the salads can be a really nice amount if you don't like larger portions or especially for lunch. This past visit we stopped in for dinner and overall had a nice meal. There is free parking attached to the mall it is located in on the ground floor. Tender Greens itself is up on the second floor closer to the Equinox. When we arrived, there were a lot of people inside picking up delivery orders and we did have to wait quite a bit for our food, but it was very tasty when it did arrive. Basically you place your order at the counter, they give you a number, and then bring the food to your table. Inside is quite large and can host many different sized groups, there's also an outdoor eating area. For this visit, I chose the Green Pozole and really enjoyed it. I wish there would've been more meat inside, but it still had some nice flavors. We also ordered the Steak Plate and that too was very good. The steak was cooked just how I like it and it had a really nice sear and crust to it. It was a bit chewy, but still I overall liked it and would recommend.

Green onions contained in a salad where an onion allergy was listed AND no onion/cilantro mix was specified.
    Monica L.

If you have food allergies or dislike certain foods, do not order from this location. I specifically marked two things: 1) No onion/cilantro mix and; 2) Onion allergy. My salad was slathered in onions. What's worse is that they were not visible, but buried underneath the top layer of the salad. Absolutely despicable. I hope this establishment is sued into oblivion, as their carelessness can cost someone their life and/or health.

Chipotle BBQ chicken plate with 2 sides - spinach and mac n cheese
    Tracy B.

First time at this location but I've eaten at TG before. This store has a nice outdoor patio and large seating area inside as well. It's located upstairs next to the Equinox. The Ordering area is towards the back of the space near the restrooms (not by front door) so kind of an odd layout. My husband had the chipotle chicken plate with 2 sides, baby spinach and mac n cheese. I had the Med steak salad. Both come with delicious buttered (and a little spice?) toast. The service was quick, it wasn't crowded and the gentleman working to bus tables checked on us a few times and cleared plates as soon as we finished. He was very efficient. I would recommend Tender Greens for healthy options on your lunch break or after working out!

We had a disappointing experience. Our pickup order was 30 minutes late beyond the scheduled time, and unfortunately the food didn't meet expectations. I ordered a medium rare steak, but it came out well done, and somehow everything was already cold by the time we received it. I spoke to management about my experience and was hoping they'd want us to come back and have a positive experience, but instead they simply apologized with no offer of a discount or credit or any sort. While I appreciate an apology, it doesn't mean much from a business if they don't incentivize you to come back and give them another chance.

    Green pozole soup
    Lisa T.

This location has some ambiance with small electric tea candles at each table. The service was standard, nothing over the top. This was my first time trying the pozole and it was delicious, a little spicy, and a little tangy from the tomatillos. I would definitely recommend ordering the pozole soup. My husband's salt and pepper chicken was standard. The chicken could've been warmer in my opinion. This location is on the second floor and I never realized it was in this plaza complex until we found it in Google maps.

    Harvest Chicken Salad
    Lah R.

Food was delicious! The Mediterranean Steak Salad featuring feta, tomatoes, pickled cucumbers, green olives, herbs, baby greens, baby sweet peppers, and lemon vinaigrette is one of my favorites. My other go-to salad is the Chicken Harvest featuring stone fruit, Point Loma Farms black berries, pistachios, goat cheese, caramelized onions, baby lettuces, and golden balsamic vinaigrette. These are healthy and delicious salads. Service provided by Robert was excellent. Robert delivered the food to the table and was responsive to any requests. The staff was courteous and professional. The food tasted fresh. Thank you, Robert and team! The ambiance is casual as this location is in a two story shopping center adjacent to the Equinox, so a lot of people dine at Tender Greens after working out. I highly recommend this Tender Greens if you are looking for a fresh and delicious salad in a casual atmosphere where customers are treated with the utmost courtesy!

Avocado toast and tomatoe soup, happy vegan is the last plate here.
    Sophie B.

First off, thank you for supporting Hollywood and our actors SAGAFTRA strike during this challenging and monumental time with a discount for our membership! Secondly, I need to try every single Tendergreens location bc I absolutely adore 4 menu items which are my staples here: the happy vegan, and or the avocado toast and a side of tomatoe soup. I have a mild cold, and listen this heavenly tomatoe soup is so soothing to drink down. Lastly; there's the chocolate chip cookie. That's how I wrap every single meal. So many tender green locations, adjacent to so many of our studios, which commercials and gameshows are still shooting since they aren't included in our new contract negotiations. I miss the happy vegan already! Yummmyyyyy.

We sat at the bar while we waited for our table and the bartender was so nice and gave us recommendations on the menu. The 'Way of the Road' milk punch was so perfect--smooth and flavorful, it was almost too yummy. My husband had a couple of the spirit-free drinks and he loved them, too--he said they were much better than the usual mixed juices that get passed as mocktails! And to complement the delicious drinks... oh my THE FOOD. We tried so many things and every single one had such a unique flavor. We over-ordered because we were celebrating my birthday, but did we leave a single morsel on the plate? No... no we did not. Highlights of the apps/small plates were the kanpachi ceviche (his fave), the tuna carpaccio tostada (mine!), and the baked oysters. We figured there's no way the main dish could top what we had (especially considering it was fish which is never my favorite), but holy moley the kanpachi en banana leaf with its delicious makrut lime flavor... I'm going to think of you fondly until I get to come back! (For any cilantro haters like me, I didn't even realize it was in there until right now when I'm referencing the menu to write this review, so don't miss out just cuz of that!). The side of coconut rice was so fluffy and perfect (not the usual sticky sweet version that's personally not my jam). For dessert we tried both the sticky toffee and the toasted coconut flan and they were both amazing, too. The flan had this touch of lime zest that added lightness and freshness and helped to cap off the meal without being too rich, so that was my favorite. Shout out to Diane for being such a fun server--we loved your energy and you made my birthday extra special--thank you!!!

What a wonderful surprise…read more I live just around the corner from Jamaica Bay Inn, and for whatever reason, it took me far too long to finally have dinner here with family and friends. I wish I'd discovered it sooner. The restaurant overlooks Mother's Beach, and the setting is exactly what you'd hope for: peaceful, relaxed, and quintessential Marina del Rey. You almost expect the view to be the highlight... Then the food shows up. For appetizers, we shared the hummus plate and the calamari. Both were excellent. As someone whose kids were practically raised eating seafood around the ports of New England, calamari is one of those deceptively simple dishes we judge pretty harshly. Beachside absolutely passed the test. I ordered the cheeseburger, which was solid, but the real stars of the evening were the roasted Jidori chicken and the jumbo shrimp fettuccine. The chicken was perfectly juicy, something that sounds easy but surprisingly few restaurants consistently get right. The shrimp fettuccine completely stole the show. In fact, it's now become my daughter's regular takeout order, and she's easily the toughest pasta critic in our family. Congratulations... you've officially earned the title of our favorite pasta spot in the Marina. The service was another highlight. Our server spoke both German and Italian, had a great sense of humor, and made the evening feel warm and effortless. Between the location, the food, and the hospitality, I already know this is going to become one of our regular family dinner spots.

The food came out and I could immediately SEE The Unappetizing . It's special when you can tell that your food is going to be bad before you take one bite. The French toast was Sahara dry, burned and flavorless. The chicken, was competing with it in the dry and flavorless category-- I really can't say which was worse. I don't really use hot sauce and I drowned the tenders in Cholula just to make it halfway edible. Literally we could have waited for the AMC chicken tenders and they would have been better, which is horrifying. Particularly when you try to avoid fried food in general and now you are poisoning your body for no good reason. Husband ordered a steak and eggs, medium well. I'll attach the picture and I'll let you be the judge of whether or not it was cooked properly. Eggs were not good either. Immediately, I gave hubby more than half my plate because he eats All of Everything that's put in front of him. Something would have to get up and walk off his plate for him to not eat it. He was taught not to waste food, period. The exception was steak so that he could take it home, cook it, and then eat it. One staff member told me to head to the bar to order, but security then acted like I was doing something wrong. A little communication between staff would go a long way. At the bar, I was skipped twice while waiting to order. When I pointed it out, the bartender told me to "hold on" while assisting a 3rd walk up after me. I asked if we could move to an open table with table service as there were many empty for ghe hour we had already been there and was told no because they were too busy. Fair enough, but that's exactly when management should be visible, coordinating staff and helping guests. Instead, when I spoke with a manager, the response was essentially that he was focused on the bar area. Good management oversees the entire operation, especially during peak periods. I was one of 5 people in our party who spent around $100 on food and drinks (apx $500 spent in total), yet the service was a mess. If it's self-service, that's fine...but make it clear and make it work. Instead, I was skipped at the bar while ordering, staff gave conflicting directions, and there was virtually no support once we had our food. We found ourselves constantly going back and forth to the bar for drinks, utensils, soy sauce, and anything else we needed. No one checked in, and getting help from staff or management was nearly impossible. The food was decent, but the customer experience wasn't. Venice Beach is always busy. This shouldn't come as a surprise. If you're going to market yourself as part of that vibrant community, you need the operational standards to match.

Had such a great experience at Edgemar in Santa Monica. We went on a Sunday during Coachella…read moreweekend, so LA was basically a ghost town and we found street parking right away. The ambiance is beautifully done, modern coastal. Perfect for a comfortable but elevated dinner. We started with the bread service, chili wontons, and gem lettuce. The bread service was my favorite, warm, soft, and the miso butter was divine. The chili wontons were also a standout, especially if you enjoy dim sum. They had great flavor and balance. The gem lettuce was fresh and simple, reminiscent of Jon & Vinny's in the best way. For entrees we had the butter shrimp and Scottish salmon, both really good, no complaints. But honestly the appetizers stole the show for me. Would definitely come back just to try more of the starters. Such a good spot.

It was a Saturday night and pretty empty, but we did go on the earlier side. Our server was also really friendly and attentive, definitely a highlight. The food just didn't hit for us. The bread service was disappointing and looked nothing like the photos we saw. Not sure if we got the wrong thing, but it wasn't good. The shrimp toast was decent but super heavy. The Caesar was not great, and no one mentioned it comes with whole anchovies on top. I'm fine with anchovy in the dressing, but the actual pieces were a lot. The chicken karaage was okay, again really heavy, but the sauce was the best part. We also tried the taco special which was just alright, nothing memorable. Overall, the vibe and service were good, but the food didn't live up to it. Probably wouldn't come back.
