Tender Greens is very tasty. We love their salads and I get one every time we go there. Their other food is great as well. We also love their Thai with grilled shrimp and sushi rice, toasted coconut, green papaya, cabbage, tomatoes, carrots, cucumbers, Thai basil, cilantro, and spicy Thai chili vinaigrette. I love the plates you can get there, where you pick your protein, salad and side. It is super good. I love their pasta (not a lot of it on the menu) and what they have is great. Parking is easy and the prices are fair. The service is exceptional. The staff is just super nice and they are pretty fast. The entire menu is great, they even make a wonderful steak and all their chicken items are great. There are a few of these, it is a chain. This is one of my favorites. read more

I've lost count how many times I've eaten at Tender Greens and it's always consistently a really good option. They have salads, sandwiches, soups, bowls, and plates but I tend to always get a soup or plate. The portion sizes are not very large, however, the salads can be a really nice amount if you don't like larger portions or especially for lunch. This past visit we stopped in for dinner and overall had a nice meal. There is free parking attached to the mall it is located in on the ground floor. Tender Greens itself is up on the second floor closer to the Equinox. When we arrived, there were a lot of people inside picking up delivery orders and we did have to wait quite a bit for our food, but it was very tasty when it did arrive. Basically you place your order at the counter, they give you a number, and then bring the food to your table. Inside is quite large and can host many different sized groups, there's also an outdoor eating area. For this visit, I chose the Green Pozole and really enjoyed it. I wish there would've been more meat inside, but it still had some nice flavors. We also ordered the Steak Plate and that too was very good. The steak was cooked just how I like it and it had a really nice sear and crust to it. It was a bit chewy, but still I overall liked it and would recommend. read more

If you have food allergies or dislike certain foods, do not order from this location. I specifically marked two things: 1) No onion/cilantro mix and; 2) Onion allergy. My salad was slathered in onions. What's worse is that they were not visible, but buried underneath the top layer of the salad. Absolutely despicable. We've been going to Tender Greens for quite awhile and it's good but nothing special. We used to love the Asian Chicken Salad but it's no longer on the menu. We do like the Salt and Pepper Chicken as well. Last eeek I had the tomato soup and it was okay. I also had the burger which was nothing special. Sorry to leave two one-star review today. I ordered a steak plate with two sides and a fried chicken sandwich with no pickles, and I specifically requested white meat, mentioning it twice to the person taking my order. Unfortunately, when I got home, the sandwich was made with dark meat. I was very disappointed. I would have brought it back, but it was too inconvenient, and I had meetings to attend. The steak plate itself would have earned four stars, but I ended up throwing most of the chicken sandwich away. I really wish orders were checked more consistently before being handed out. read more

First time at this location but I've eaten at TG before. This store has a nice outdoor patio and large seating area inside as well. It's located upstairs next to the Equinox. The Ordering area is towards the back of the space near the restrooms (not by front door) so kind of an odd layout. My husband had the chipotle chicken plate with 2 sides, baby spinach and mac n cheese. I had the Med steak salad. Both come with delicious buttered (and a little spice?) toast. The service was quick, it wasn't crowded and the gentleman working to bus tables checked on us a few times and cleared plates as soon as we finished. He was very efficient. We had a disappointing experience. Our pickup order was 30 minutes late beyond the scheduled time, and unfortunately the food didn't meet expectations. I ordered a medium rare steak, but it came out well done, and somehow everything was already cold by the time we received it. I spoke to management about my experience and was hoping they'd want us to come back and have a positive experience, but instead they simply apologized with no offer of a discount or credit or any sort. When I called, another employee said they couldn't provide his name, even though I mentioned it was for a positive Yelp review. Food was delicious! The Mediterranean Steak Salad featuring feta, tomatoes, pickled cucumbers, green olives, herbs, baby greens, baby sweet peppers, and lemon vinaigrette is one of my favorites. My other go-to salad is the Chicken Harvest featuring stone fruit, Point Loma Farms black berries, pistachios, goat cheese, caramelized onions, baby lettuces, and golden balsamic vinaigrette. This restaurant chain has a good menu with delicious items, and a philosophy of food which is uncommon among restaurants. I have received orders are the lacking and ingredients completely, and today, the reason for me making his comment I just received an order and instead of giving it to my daughter, I'm going to throw it straight in the trash because it smells disgusting. I honestly believe that the people at the restaurant in the food, by the smell. Obviously I have nothing but contempt for anyone that would wish to poison my daughter, because once I telephoned the manager to question why there was no sauce on a short rib which usually comes swimming in sauce, meaning that it was the equivalent of some boiled meat on a plate. Well it came swimming and sauce this time. Unfortunately not the kind I'd like for my loved ones. I have had cause to telephone this restaurant and each time I speak with someone who can barely have a conversation, I hear laughter in the background but it is not joyous laughter it is mischievous laughter. So how are they cooking and preparing all the food in. Answer is Canola oil. I should have just stopped eating my food then and there, but no I finished it. I woke up middle of the night with the worst indigestion where my body rejected this food and felt so sick. Doesn't matter if you have good meats, sides, veggies etc, if your cooking it all in poison. I will never ever be eating here again. Haven't been here in a while (used to be a Souplantation. Like this place a lot. More on the pricey side but worth it. The lemonade is bomb. Not sure if they still do free refills. There was one caterpillar. In the salads. But it was a weird one off and got free refund and food I believe (way back). But the food is very good. My grip is that it didn't rotate food selections. I want more than anything to love this place. When it's good it's great food. Been coming here on and off for 10+ years. It's a shame how understaffed this location is and how stressed I see the workers looking during peak hours. Orders are totally inconsistent. Anyhow, I previously emailed this location regarding an order I made that never made it into their system and then took over 30 minutes to prep. The manager kindly partially credited my account to give them another shot. I was grateful for the credit as I really do love their food when they get it right. So I went back, and that order was fine. Next order, I decided to try an Italian *CHOP* salad, emphasis on the *chop*. Pictures of what it looks like online vs reality is below. It was literally giant pieces of uncut lettuce with sad looking large strips of cheese and meats. Super disappointing, and I didn't even both trying to reach back out. :( All in all I love their food when it's good and I'm a long time customer. I am standing at the counter at Tender Greens in Marina del Rey. And I have to report that Stella and Cesar were simply the best! I mistakenly ordered from the (great) Tender Greens app from a different location, and came here and of course they didn't have the delectable dishes prepared. Stella and Cesar quickly helped facilitate a refund from the other location and now my family can enjoy the beans, arugula salad, grilled veggies, the authentically Friench tuna Niçoise and the longevity bowl with salmon--all favorites. Food is always quality from this location. Compared to other locations where I've had vegetables undercooked, this location always nails it! Service is also great, especially compared to other locations. They are often busy so it can be slow, but the staff is always friendly and tries their best to get food out as soon as possible. I am always greeted upon arrival by the cooks up front and they always wish me a nice day when I leave. A man with long pink/ red hair the other day made sure to pause to ask all the people who were waiting for takeout for their names so they could expedite their orders. This location USED to be a gem with my customer experience. I will NOT order from here again after having back to back consistent issues with my food at this location since 2023. The staff is very polite but there is a major lack in communication which ensures your order is typically not completed properly. I requested eating utensils and of course, never get it. After requesting... you'd expect to get a fork to eat your salad with. I've had to drive down there after not receiving all my food... which I just can no longer do. I'm currently sitting here in this Tender Greens on a Thursday night. It's been over 20 minutes, and I still haven't received my food. I'm unsure if they're just understaffed, or mismanaged, but it seems like an average amount of business, and many people are asking where their order is. Service wise, the cashier was nice as he offered to grab multiple refills of my water, so I appreciate that at the least. Regarding the location, there are multiple lights that continue to flicker in the ceiling that's distracting. While I love Tender Greens food, I would not recommend this location if you're in a hurry. This Tender Greens is not like other locations that I'm used to as the speed of service is very slow.
