Highly recommend Califa for an artistic and efficient tree trim! We hired Califa to trim our sizable Oak tree- they did an excellent job with tree health and aesthetics being at the top of their list! We went for the aggressive trim- for branches off some power lines, many small branches off of the larger ones and we really opened up the canopy and for light and to relieve the weight on the tree limbs. I was present for the entire job as was a supervisor which I very much appreciated! It was stressful watching the process but at no time was I worried about their approach and workmanship. I do want to mention with such an involved job- you're going to want to clear, move and/or protect the plants under and surrounding the tree that they're trimming. They had guys on the ground with long poles directing the falling branches to "safe" landing spots but there were, as I expected a few plant casualties. Nothing big just a few branches broken off of succulents that were too big to move to safety. The men that were up in the tree and on the ground directing and protecting and cleaning up did a VERY good job, and I am super picky! Most importantly, the Oak tree is so beautiful and looking really majestic with her new cut! Also want to mention how accommodating Califa was with my extra requests. We needed 2 of our largest backyard trees to be pruned, shaped, and trimmed after an incredible amount of new growth due to the constant rainfall the past year. After spending some time doing my own research on the average cost of tree trimming in my area, I sent out quote requests to 3 providers. 2 out of 3 responded. I made 2 appointments for estimates. The first estimate came in at $975. I then met with Jesus at Califa Tree and I shared the other estimate with him, and he immediately told me it was too much. He gave me a price range, but provided me with a written price quote by email. He took photos of the trees and given that our backyard is at an incline, it was understandable the higher end of the price range was my estimate. It was still a fair price. I have some dead cypress trees in the backyard that need removal. Jesus came and gave a very competitive bid. Jesus and crew came today on a Sunday father's day as I asked the work be done ASAP. Cutting down the cypress tree is actually pretty tricky, to not hitting the fence nor neighbor side as there are many small twigs and branches from several main limbs sticking out.
