    Quesarito

Let me preface that this review will be updated once I go back and explore the menu further, but I have to judge what I ate. Anxious to come back and order something else. The space had a great vibe and friendly staff, so I think I just ordered the wrong thing. The Quesarito was what we went with and it was definitely not the thing to order. Very very very meat heavy with rice and minimal cheese. Super salty and without additions of salsa it wouldn't have been edible. It was quite pricy for what it was, but it was a bad order. I will be back and explore the menu, but I do not recommend the Quesarito. I will update this review after my next trip, but be cautious of the Quesarito.

When you walk into this place, you can literally smell the fresh ingredients. Wow! Very fast and friendly service. They have lots to choose from, including daily specials. We tried the shrimp taco, traffic jam smothered pepper fries, beef birria taco and an empanada. Everything was so delicious and tasty.

This is a cool little spot to have lunch or a quick dinner. It's not a big place, but has inside seating. The food comes out quick and hot. It generally taste great from the varieties that I tried. The service was nice and I would definitely return if I'm in the area.

Califas is in a small shop in a strip mall, we almost missed the place. Don't pass them by though!! We stopped in on a Wednesday afternoon and tried out the daily special. Beef Birria Quesadilla with Consommé. Smells great inside btw. They have a small toppings and salsa bar too. The Birria was extremely tasty and flavorful. Crisp tortilla and melted cheese with onions. Delicious consommé we finished everything and enjoyed a fruit punch Jarritos ! They're very friendly and prompt service!

We were looking for a quick snack before heading back to Atlanta through Greenville and Califas popped up on our radar. I believe it's a chain from California that has opened its first location in South Carolina - random but I'm not mad. Only mad they're not in Atlanta but irrelevant LOL. We ordered the Compton Crispy Corn Tacos (order of 2 was $6) with your choice of ground beef or chicken, which were pretty standard but really hit the spot. But my favorite bite was the Heavenly Delicious Quesabirria Tacos - 3 for $13 and came with a side of consomé. Califas is for sure worth checking out if you're in or passing through Greenville, because I'll definitely be back next time!

Came here around 7pm on a weeknight. Place was pretty empty. They have a daily special. Excellent daily taco birra special (taco, beans, and rice for $7.99). I also got a fish taco which was delicious. La Croix to drink and they had my favorite (coconut) flavor. They had a very clean and labeled sauce bar and the guy told me which ones were spicy. The food was very tasty and I would definitely come here again! I took my food to go and was disappointed to find no utensils when I opened it my hotel room :(

Staff is always nice upbeat and ready to serve. It feels like they love each customer that walks in the door and their food is excellent. I haven't gotten a single item that I did not like they have everything you can think of from larger plates to smaller à la carte they even have desserts! I highly recommend the churros and Lola's Turon (not pictured but did get on a previous visit) Also the Lola's Lumpia is probably one of my favorites and literally the only place I know of where I can get lumpia!

Wow! I'm so disappointed with myself that I have never been here before. Definitely 5 stars (if not more)! The birria was tender and juicy with an excellent dipping sauce. Every item was perfectly cooked and more than a generous portion. The service was very fast. Everyone was friendly and happy to answer any questions we had. They brought out fresh chips to our table -- the house cilantro sauce was soooo good. Very clean! I highly recommend.

Califas is an amazing stop for some West coast inspired cuisine. The San Diego burrito is a must have and for anyone that has spent time in San Diego can attest that the East Coast is severely lacking with French fries in our burritos!

We LOVE Califas! They do California style Mexican and it's authentic bc the owners are from there. It's great service in a small, fast casual/counter service type place. The strip mall it's in was in need of a good place like this. Their burritos are incredible and their biggest standout is the Birria tacos and quesadillas

We ordered a house margarita, a black bean taco, a Banh mi tofu taco with Mexican street corn salad, and the Pork Belly. The flavors were unique and paired tastefully, and the food wasn't expensive. If you catch happy hour, it's even cheaper! The Pork Belly is the standout favorite. The portions are small for the price, but I think it's worth it. The staff is decent, not overly enthusiastic but attentive. The logo is also quite amusing. The food is amazing. There's nothing bad on the menu. We could live off the buffalo chicken, and the pork belly is a chef's kiss with its pickled watermelon. The steak is phenomenal, and I'm a big fan of the Tikka Masala, though it may be more of an acquired taste. Do yourself a favor and make sure to stop by White Duck for an amazing experience. Besides being a bit pricey, the food is incredibly delicious! The service is always good, and you can order, sit, and your food will be out in a few minutes. We ordered five tacos for about $30, including a drink, and we also got some nachos. The buffalo chicken is always to die for! It's little spicy but always a good piece of chicken. Then, I tried the Korean pork belly, which was crispy, packed with flavor, and soft on the inside. The service is fast, even when there's a long line. The tacos are original and different, but delicious. There's always plenty of seating inside and outside. I would for sure go back for the great flavors and service.

Chips and salsa are not complimentary, but you do get these cute little wagon wheel looking chips called duros. The margaritas are small but watch out, they'll sneak up on you! Lots of options. They specialize in tequila and mezcal with flights as an option. The bar is the spot to be; bartenders are friendly and they have small TVs to watch whatever sports are in season. The atmosphere is a little lacking in my opinion, but it's all about the food. My first visit here was to find corn husks and masa flour for homemade tamales. Upon entering the store, it was as if I had transported to Mexico, the music, the goods, everything was just as if I had stepped south of the border. I had bought tamales at Costco and one of my sons friends came over, his family is first generation Mexican. He felt sorry for me after I served him a Costco tamale so his mother made me a bag full of homemade tamales. Wow, no comparison. I did find what I needed and at an affordable price, but they also have a full butcher shop, produce section, frozen and dry goods sections. The butcher shop has pre-marinated, chopped meat for taco's al pastor among other fresh items. I bought some of that too, just toss it in the frying pan to cook it up and serve with corn tortillas and fixings and your friends think you are an awesome Mexican chef. However, they also opened a taqueria, the pictures on the menu are attached. Ordering can present a language barrier, but you can work it out. The portions are generous, the food is authentic beyond comparison anywhere else I have found in Greenville. There are only a few tables.
