On the side the tacos came with really good salsas, fresh cucumber slices and radish slices. The meat in the tacos are super fresh and grilled to perfection and the tortillas are also fresh and perfectly cooked. You can usually find them right outside of Advanced Auto Parts on Warren H Abernathy hwy in Spartanburg. If you love tacos and Mexican food then you have to check them out. I ate at Mezcal many times because it has a convenient location, but after a while, it was clear that it's kind of a bad restaurant. Service is usually fine-to-great. That's certainly never been the problem. I've dined in and gotten taken out multiple times and have never gotten bad service. Sadly, I can't really recall a single meal that I've actually enjoyed. Mexican food is supposed to be bold and flavorful. It doesn't necessarily need to be spicy, and often times it isn't. One thing it simply cannot be is bland. Unfortunately, Mezcal's food is almost unbelievably bland. To make matters worse, they don't actually have any hot sauces that add spice. I've had more than enough meals at this restaurant to conclude that it wasn't an off day. It simply is the reality of this restaurant: good-to-great service but terrible food.
