I came to her during one of the hardest periods of my life, after my dearest companion passed away unexpectedly because of a mistake at the vet. From the very beginning, Greta showed extraordinary empathy, kindness, and patience, without ever making us feel pressured or assuming we would necessarily move forward with her. She took real time to talk with me about what I was going through, handled our situation with so much sensitivity, and offered us the opportunity to experience her cat retreat so we could simply spend time with kittens without the pressure of immediately bringing another cat home. We already had two cats, and I was hoping to eventually find a companion for the one who remained, but Greta understood that grief does not move on a schedule. The cat retreat itself was wonderful, and it was there that we met Willow. Greta had actually held that litter for us because she knew we were especially interested, and she believed Willow was the kitten who best matched what we were looking for: cuddly, sweet, and deeply affectionate. She was absolutely right. Willow chose us, and we could not be happier. Willow is healthy, incredibly sweet, and wonderfully cuddly. She wouldn't eat, was lethargic, was throwing up. She told me the leave food out for her and she was probably sad from leaving her brother. About 30 hours after I got her I had to rush her to the emergency vet (at 1am) because she became completely unresponsive. They saved her but said she was close to death. I told her about what happened and I feel like she was trying to blame me and that it was caused by something I did. The next week was more vet visits to try to figure out what was wrong with her. I only had her for 10 days I believe, but I really loved her and we were bonded. I told Mariya (the breeder aka Missy) the day before she died that there was something really wrong with her. I was told there was nothing she could do but pray for her. And then I was seemingly blocked and ignored!! Throughout the whole thing I felt alone in the situation. I took her to the vet again after that convo on the evening of the November 2nd and the vet told me to bring her back the next day to be hospitalized for the whole day. My heart was broken into pieces when I woke on nov 3, 2024 to find my little friend had passed away. The vet came to the official conclusion that she had a congenital abnormality that caused her to pass away. I spent thousands trying to save her. It was extremely traumatic to watch her despite my best efforts to save her, decline and then die. I am beyond crushed. A week later I'm still crying. In my opinion Mariya didn't seem to care about the puppy. But I really did. I have paraphrased what happened and will write a full review once I can bring myself to do so. I have retained an attorney and I am taking legal action. I would recommend caution when dealing with royal yorkies.

Since moving to the Bay Area a year ago, I've been ordering it online, so I'm still learning which stores carry what. Recently, the Concord location didn't have the smaller bag of my dog's regular food, so I decided to try a different formula from the same brand. Unfortunately, my dog wanted nothing to do with it. I stopped by this location hoping they might have what I was looking for, and that's when I met Brandi. She was absolutely incredible! Even though they didn't have my dog's regular food in stock, she took the time to help me explore other high-quality options and recommended products that might encourage my picky pup to eat. The biggest surprise was learning that if my dog didn't like the food, I could return it for store credit. I had no idea this was your policy! Neither the Pleasant Hill nor Concord locations had ever mentioned it, even when the Concord team knew I was hesitant about trying a new formula. Because of Brandi's outstanding customer service, I was able to exchange the food my dog wouldn't eat and bring home something different. As soon as we got home, my dog happily ate some right out of my hand, so I'm feeling very optimistic! I also brought my blue nose pit bull with me, and Brandi was so kind and patient with her.
