Unfortunately I didn't read Russ F. feedback before purchase. I fell in love with a Mustang sold by this dealer and bought it. Purchase process and shipping was the best aspect. As far as working with the seller - pleasant to speak with and was flexible receiving payment. I would caution however to make sure you have the vehicle fully-inspected by professionals (body/paint, mechanic, etc.) before purchase. Much of what was said about the vehicle was inaccurate or wrong. I think the seller spoke from ignorance rather than intentionally misleading. His mechanic is probably not one. Rich at California Cars is hands down the most honest person I've ever dealt with! He had exact the car I've been looking for years and it was priced fairly and EVERYTHING he represented. Rich put the car on the rack and went over every nut and bolt with me and provided me receipts and paperwork to support everything done in the restoration. After my purchase Rich followed up to repair every little thing that wasn't perfect, including the cigarette lighter and replacing the glove box insert. Mike, his in house mechanic, is a genius and master crafts man. Rich does far more than selling cars, he become a trusted friend. In my opinion he loves the cars he sells. They were very helpful considering I was buying the car never having the opportunity to see it in person. They put the car up on a lift, took pictures of the bottom of the car, gave me pictures with a magnet on all the panels, and basically gave me everything I needed to feel good about the buy. The car showed up (after they helped me with the shipping process), and was better than I could have expected Then came the true test. When I went to register the car in NJ, they would not accept the title...long story but it was DMV being morons as usual. He has sold a total of 5 cars for me over that period of time and I have been very comfortable and satisfied with all aspects of his business practices. I sent a pair of model A Fords to him and they were both sold within 90 days for a reasonable and fair price.I then sent a 40 pickup to him and it sold without a problem. Most recently, I shipped a Chevy Nomad, I had for around 10 years, as well as a custom Chevy pickup to Cal Cars and both were sold and I received all that we had agreed to. When I sent the cars, I also sent Richy the signed titles, and all I was left with was a one sheet copy of the consignment agreement. Had I delt with anyone other than Richy I would have been very anxious in trying to deal with the sale from out of state like I did. read more

Sorry i went there drove from palm springs the cars look OK but in bad shape they don't fix problems just use glue and type. I rolled down a window on a test drive and it dropped out, looked under the floor mat and found open cracks in floor pan, seal were rotted, no horn, no dome light old seat covers that was ripped. all he said about all this was well its an old car and they want good money for the cars like 12,000. for junk read more

NOT TO BE TRUSTED- I purchased a 1995 Porsche 993 that was described as excellent. I bought it over the phone and web. In reality the car has very poor paintwork, oil leaks, worn brakes. The service records that were promised are non existent and the carfax shows 6 owners and not 2 as the seller had stated. Rich (sales guy) is very sharp and has an excuse for everything. The dealer uses poor photos and video so that they can state that they sold on the basis of full disclosure. In reality a purchase decision cannot be made on the basis of these. I have learnt a valuable lesson to not trust such auto dealerships and suggest you do the same and steer clear of this outfit read more

Truly a pleasure talking with Rick & Gary. What I really appreciated is the open honesty in discussing the car. We decided to purchase the car. It was sold "As Is". Which both my son and I fully understood. Got up onto the fwy and the first exit after getting on blew the LF tire. We contacted Rick to get a referral for a local tire shop. He told us where to go and said he would take care of the tire. We made it to the tire shop and after looking at all the tires opted to replace all 4 tires. Rick showed up and asked how the rest of the tires were and told him I had opted to replace all 4 tires. I was then told that he would take care of the bill. We did not ask for or expect California Car to step up to the plate like they did. Truly a please to deal with a company that totally understands customer service and stands up to what they sale. I just wanted to take the time to write a review for California cars. I was looking for a 1969 camaro and saw that they had one. I went down to look at the car and decided to buy it. Of coarse it is a used car, so there was no warranty. I had a small issue the day I took it home, so I called Rich. He told me to bring the car back and he would take a look at it. He did find a couple issues with it and took care of it and had the car delivered back to me all fixed at no charge. What other dealer would ever do that. Rich is the best. I would not buy a muscle car anywhere else but at California cars, Rich and Gary are a couple of great guys. Their cars are really nice as well. Just really down to earth guys. I received my car three days ago nice rite. At the of load the car would not stay at idle in gear. In the video Rich says it's cold blooded, I don't know what that means but sell sell sell. I discover that all the jets in the carberators have been closed so they won't let fuel into the chambers. Hm nice. So I went to the Holley web site and tuned the carbs ( hey, not a mech but not stupid either) low and behold car idles in gear and should be good. I drove the car 19 miles and rolled back into the house. Wow, nice should be good rite? Not so much one drive the carbs are leaking fuel everywhere and either the torque converter is toast or the front main seal in the transmission is shot.
