BUYER BEWARE -- DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE FROM REGAN MOTORS I bought a van that, at the time I did not realize, did not have properly working safety equipment. The sensors for the supplemental restraint system did not work, nor did they conform to the manufacturer's specifications. When I realized that there was an issue and I contacted Garrett I was told by Garrett that the vehicle was sold AS IS - this response took 4 emails AND another person getting involved to even get that answer. I did have the vehicle looked at by a specialist and he was mortified that this vehicle had even been sold. To add insult to injury, the transmission ceased up after a total of 65 miles. The transmission ceased when the specialist was inspecting the vehicle. Do not waste your hard earned money for a vehicle that doesn't meet the California Vehicle Code AND no one should have to deal with someone who lacks in both ethics and integrity. Additional Note - "California's Vehicle Code requires that you do not sell or offer for sale, a vehicle unless all of its safety equipment is in proper working condition". The car is garbage. I know it's been 5 years, but I should have updated sooner than this, I just kept forgetting. 6 months after I got the car, it immediately showed it's true colors. It started breaking down, I took it to the mechanic, and was told a million different things from different mechanics. For some reason no one could figure out what exactly was wrong with it. Basically, if sat at a red light for more than 15 seconds, it would die. I'd have to put it in park, start it up, and put it back in drive. Finally, thousands of dollars and a year later, a mechanic put a new computer in and it seemed to kind of fix the issue. I still can't get up to speed on the free way without it beginning to die. I have to very slowly, and carefully get on the freeway while people behind me wonder why the hell someone is getting on the freeway going 30 mph. This started 6 months after I got the stupid thing. Before than, my fiance also bought a car because we thought we had such a great experience. His car is garbage as well. About 6 months after he bought his, the clutch failed. Multiple parts need replacing. This place does not check your credit. That is for this reason, they sell you cars that are essentially trash. If you have bad credit, I would STILL not recommend you come here. I would still recommend trying to get to a dealership with a cosigner. Do not give this place your business, you will regret it. I had to wait a long time because only one guy was working and there were a lot of people looking at cars. We were sold a bad car. The tires were bald when we bought the car and we have only had the car a 5 days and our mechanic said we can't drive the car due to the check engine light coming on and after further testing discovered that their is an issue with the fuel pressure pump and now we are stuck with a car that we already spent more than we wanted and these issues are going to cost thousands of dollars to fix. Not to mention the tire sensor won't turn off and we already had the tires changed and the oil sensor is on and we had it serviced yesterday and still won't come off. basically our mechanic said we can't drive it due to the risk of it catching on fire. I got a great car here, super low miles and car was in great condition despite some minor cosmetic issues, small dings/cracks in paint etc... other than that I'm extremely satisfied. The only thing I'd complain about is that they do over price their cars. I paid $6k for a car that was only worth $4k on Kelley blue book. Only reason I took the car is because they wouldn't budge on the price, and I desperately needed a vehicle quickly. My wife and I bought a used 2001 Honda Civic for $3,500 (taxes and fees included). The car was bought in August/2018 and by December/2018, the car's engine had failed. When we bought the car, we noticed that the car needed tires. However, we didn't notice the rust that covered the bottom of the car and engine which prevented our mechanic from performing an oil change. We did not notice that the brakes needed to be replaced. We did not know the rotors would need to be resurfaced. We did not know that a set of struts would be needed (which was rendered impossible due to rust). We did not notice the damaged strut hardware on the right front wheel which produced a grinding noise on hard turns. The salesman did not mention these issues. He did acknowledge that the car needed tires but only after we had mentioned it first. Either the salesman chose to omit these important details or he did not know. We feel like we wasted $3,500. The buyer should not have the burden of determining whether a car is in good condition or not. We surely will not be purchasing cars from this lot in the future, and I can only implore other car buyers to either avoid this lot or to bring a mechanic with them. read more

I had bought a truck from this place and a week when by the truck was making a squeaking noise so I took it to a repair shop to find out what's going on and by my surprise they told me that to start with I need 1200 dollars for the repairs . The shocks are in bad condition the ball joint,and much more to go . I would not recommend to buy from this dealer to anyone. Now there's a water leak on the truck I think they should have let me know details about the truck but the person that helped me at the time of purchase didn't say anything. I dont know, i think i jumped the gun on buying this car. I bought an 07 Accord. I've had it for nearly 2 months and have hardly driven it at all yet i can already feel it being flakey. The car needs brakes, theyve been squeaking, and there's obviously something wrong with the steering. It's tougher to turn the wheel than it should be and it make a loud chirping noise. I just went thru this with my other Accord so i know it's the steering. Not sure if a hose or pump or both needs replacing or if there's a leak but something needs repair. I was only given one key which is broken and was glued back together. The remote wasnt working so i cracked the key/remote open and replaced the battery. It powered it up but the door lock actuator obviously needs to be replaced because the remote will not lock or unlock the driver side door only the trunk and the other doors. The engine runs rough and the transmission shifts a bit hard. It's crazy how these things only come about right after purchase. Paying $175 to be able to return the car after two days wouldve been a waste of money. If it was 4-6 weeks perhaps then one could see what they've gotten themselves into. I just want to sell the car, but im obviously gonna take a loss on it. I fear no one will buy it if they experience the suspect way it feels to drive it. Unless for ridiculously cheap. But then ill just lose out if i have some repairs done on it before selling it. Idk it just seems wrong to sell a car that needs brakes to someone. Yeah, i regret buying this car. Ok, so here is an update. I could not attach the reciept for repairs, so I just added it as an additional profile photo. NOTE: Let me start by saying once I made it clear I was going to make a purchase, I did get a cup of coffee and was offered a place to sit and wait for paperwork to be established. The problem that caused the stall/no start was actually the fuel pump. It faulted within 10 miles (approximately). The radiator kit, and all other repairs should be disregarded as I agreed to have them replaced/repaired. I use Yelp as a reference tool to determine where I do business as a consumer. It works well for me and I'm sure it does for others. So, with that being said, I will not change my 1 star rating. The reason is based on the initial response I recieved. I'm thankful we were not in freeway traffic when the car stalled. I hope this will help others in the future (including the seller). Antonio, you have my number as well. read more

Garret, My wife got a second opinion from a certified Mercedes repair shop. The oil sensor is actually working properly and the car was low on oil. If a tow vehicle was being sent, this is the first I heard about it. Communicating with my wife or me via yelp is not the most effective, professional, or efficient way to do business with new customers. As for the replaced spark plug, I was the one that reported it to your store front in Thousand Oaks. I would have been impressed if you authorized the mechanic to replace all of the spark plugs since your company failed to so a basic service or safety check of the vehicle properly before releasing it to my wife. we found few listings on web in this shop, called during weekdays business hours always goes to voicemail until we sent an email thru website to get a callback from Mark. We saw the car and bought the car with negotiated price, we found windshield cracked and brake pads worn out. We agreed to get these done just ask for svr referrals, but Mark is poor with the follow up, told us first he would get the quotes for windshield and brake pads, when we showed up to paid for the car, he didn't get it done, crack on the dashboard he didn't fix it well. After we took the car, his text was he'll be out of office all afternoon, we can google these svr ourselves to get a quote. We did since we intend to fixed these issues, windshield quote was $250, we got better quote elsewhere and appt done quicker; brake pads quote also elsewhere better with sooner appt, it's disappointing to deal with a sales with poor follow up svr, so i guess needless to say you are not interested for any repeat business on that note right ? read more

My mother-in-law's car was having transmission problems so we were considering getting her a new ride. After getting jerked around by the big dealers in the Auto Mall and TO Blvd, we drove out to Regan Motors. Their lot was full of good options for her at very fair prices. None of the BS pricing like at the major dealerships. We asked about the trade-in value for her car and were surprised by the response. Their technician, Fausto, suggested that we consider fixing the transmission, rather than buying another car! We were not in a position to spend too much money on a car and he explained that even though the value of the car was low, the better deal for us was to fix the transmission. He could have ended the process there and we would have been satisfied with our experience at Regan Motors - how often does a dealership suggest that maybe buying a new car is not the best option? Fausto offered to help us get the work done through his contacts at a price significantly less than what we were quoted by other mechanics. He spent the next few weeks coordinating between his mechanics and myself to get her car fixed up and now its running great. He pointed out the next few issues that we'll need to be ready to address so there are no surprises right around the corner. Bought a 2011 Chevy Aveo in mid May 2018 (as is-my mistake). This vehicle had a blown head gasket, un-beknownest to me. Oil was clean, so it must have been changed just before went up for sale or purchased by Reagan motors. Oil filter was heavily clogged.
