We had a CalClosets designed office when we lived in New England, and were predisposed to having another one in our new construction in the Raleigh area. Once the house was framed, we had sales rep Amber H visit the construction site and work through some ideas. We were able to lay out electrical outlets and computer network connections before the walls went up based on the preliminary design. We spoke with some other vendors and visited their showrooms. The CalClosets showroom had all of their options for finishes and options. The other vendors did not put their best foot forward in the showrooms or did not offer the range of options in the same way. We were concerned that CalClosets would be more expensive, but with the alternatives that Amber provided we came in on budget. Since we had time between the framing and the actual purchase of the new home, Amber came through several times to re-check measurements and designs. Strangely enough, it turned out that our space would work best with fewer cabinets and different sizes than originally thought. From the time I started researching companies online to their helpful service and beautiful showroom off of Glenwood Avenue, I was very happy with their customer service, design and vast knowledge of how I can better organize my space(s). While my project is still in the construction stage, I'm happy to say that CalClosets especially Jessica Quison-Kress most definitely have earned my business. She didn't just come to my home (to see exisiting) and leave in 15 minutes, she took the time to really study my space, give suggestions and she even took the time to inventory of all of my clothing! One of the best experiences we've had with home modifications! Anne Paul is an amazing consultant who worked with us to install a Murphy bed system and a new closet system to replace the one put in when our daughter was ten. Now that she's 26 and has a wheelchair with an elevating seat, she's more independent and wanted a statement that allowed her to access her clothes for hanging and retrieval. Anne's caring and respectful interactions went beyond being just professional. She took a personal interest in the challenges this presented and found solutions to them all! The installation team was amazing as they deconstructed two closets, rebuilt one with the old sections and installed a new closet system in the master bedroom, a new one for our daughter and an amazing Murphy bed system with lighting for our daughter. The entire experience from start to finish was great. We knew to go to Raleigh to find out about California Closets. We had them installed in our Condo there in 2006. They put us in touch with Jennifer Wells. She made a visit in a matter of days. She was meticulous with the decision process. Patient and kind. There were unforseen circumstances with dryer vents and partitions in the wall behind where one of the closets were to be installed.
