They had variety musibis where they use to put tuna or ume in them which I loved eating both when my mom use to buy us for breakfast!!! Their bentos use to be very good too! I remember their rolled eggs which was my fav to eat. Over the years they added spam To it which I didn't eat because I don't eat pork anymore! Their bentos also changed too! Their chicken use to be the best on the menu now it's just a copy cat of Zippy's chicken. I don't buy their deli anymore just their poke because their poke is always better quality from other stores.

I say this because upon entering it's like a food court, as first you see Teapresso Bar with full offerings of drinks you then see an insane selection of baked goods more than some small bakeries offer along with plate lunch, smoked meat, pizza and even roast pork handing under the warmer...all this before I enter the grocery sections you see graduation leis, UH merchandise and various grab and go treats as well. It's a beautiful supermarket that nice and clean very well organized with displayed items neatly placed and the vibe here is just so calm and friendly I was just very impressed with it all knowing that I can purchase items already made before entering to shop is quite deceiving and tempting but is nice to know for busy folks that they do have you covered whether you're in a rush or just need a single ingredient this is the place to go and support all things local. Last week, I took my chances and got their $6 spicy ahi bento. $6 is a very good deal so I ended up buying 4 for my family. Ok, I really am curious about the 'ahi' that was served. It was all minced up and I swear there was no taste. The consistency was like, and this is kinda gross, raw hamburger, if you can imagine what raw hamburger would taste like. It looked like a legit spicy ahi bento but the taste was bad, the consistency wasn't appetizing and it just wasn't good. Kinda bummed about it because I was looking forward to a yummy dinner that Friday. What's with the Maikai label? Does Foodland really make all of the labeled items or do they just repackage it and slap their name on it? The cashiers are usually good and lines can get quite long. The parking lot can be challenging but you can find a spot. Maybe you need to park far away as it does get crowded.

Thank goodness Safeway is open. Also, Safeway carries these emergency phone chargers that are pre-charged for four hours. I have been wanting to purchase these for so long because I just have a problem for some reason with having a dying phone on me at all times. How does one simply check into all of the places when their phone is always threatening to turn off? Not anymore with this emergency charger. At least that's what I'm hoping to happen. If this magical box ends up working well for me, I will buy several more.

What could use some work tho is not specifically Mililani Safeway, its just their App and Website in general. There is ALWAYS some kind of glitching going on. But nonetheless I love Mililani Safeway

There are self-checkout lines available (unlimited items) - perfect for introverts and those who don't want to deal with the baggers. Friendly reminder: the commissary discontinued plastic bags, but the baggers still provide services. Bring your eco bags or purchase a reusable bag for $0.35. For those who use Amex Gold, this commissary codes as a grocery store for 4x membership rewards. All in all, highly recommend to do your grocery shopping here.

Right at the entrance, they had most of the Thanksgiving essentials displayed, which was actually really cool. And of course, I had to splurge on an Oreo house-making kit just for the fun of it. Even though they were completely sold out of turkey, we managed to grab all of our Thanksgiving sides before heading over to Safeway for the final ingredient, our big turkey. They've got great holiday items right now to splurge on so buyer beware and don't spend all your money at once! All in all, I was really grateful Walmart was still open when we went. I just wish they stayed open a little longer for us late-night shoppers! Also, they have the most charming mural at the front entrance.
