Good stuff !! Went with my family and the food was on point. We ordered a cheese quesadilla and fries (kids meal 5.50) two taco meal (able to give variety in tacos) and a chimichanga meal. Very filling. No complaints on the flavor. The server was very nice and even with it being busy she was able to hold down the fort! Price was average and portions were plentiful! There is ample parking but be careful because it's a busy busy area!

Every time I come here I get at least five tacos.. mainly steak and al pastor. You can't beat $1.50 tacos! Fresh ingredients as well. The homemade chicken tacos are also good too! I also always get their steak nacho fries (around $7 - $8) and they're definitely sharable. Super filling. Prices are inexpensive and menu is wide. I've dined in before and the service was pretty fast. Mainly a takeout spot though. I also like how they have daily weekday specials like Burrito Monday and Taco Tuesday. The only downside is that parking is shared in the plaza and the area is pretty busy most of the time.

This is one of the better locations in my opinion. The Johnston one is cheap they really don't put a lot of meat on their tacos. I like the carnitas. You have to try the home made hot sauce. Both are great but I love the green. It's good food cheap and quick.

This is truly an authentic restaurant with a homey feel. This location is smaller than the others, having about 5 tables. The service is deli-style where you order at the counter. I really enjoy the workers from the multiple locations and they are all pleasant and friendly. We had the shredded beef nachos for an appetizer.. They had plenty of cheese and a decent amount of meat. There were too many tomatoes and overall they were underwhelming with flavor. I guess I'm used my nachos having chili on them. To be honest, I wouldn't order them again. This is the only reason why I'm giving them four stars rather than five. I'm a huge fan of the $1 soft tacos! They come in a double corn tortilla. They give a generous portion of meat in each and are topped with onions and cilantro. All of the meats are delicious and I usually order 4 different ones. The chorizo and al pastor are the most savory and flavorful. I'm a huge fan of sharing, so I usually get a shredded chicken chimichanga to split. They are deep fried to a fluffy crisp and are stuffed full. I really enjoy the guacamole that is served over the top almost like a sauce. I'm getting hungry just writing this! I keep coming back for the unique taste!

I may have found my favorite taco spot. My friend invited me here for dinner tonight and I am so glad I went along. The decor is nothing spectacular and there are tables so you can dine in, if you find an empty table that is. I guess you can say that's my only negative part of my review. My friend ordered 2 tacos and a tostada with shrimp, she was hungry. So much so that she ate EVERYTHING that she ordered. She loves this place and comes here a few times to curb her appetite. I had the chimichanga with steak. I couldn't finish it but I wanted to so bad. The 'changa was mouth watering and so filling. I'm not sure what the green sauce is but it has the right amount of spiciness to it that enhances all the other flavors. Thinking about it makes me want to warm up the leftover in my fridge . I will be stopping by there more often for my 'changa cravings.

Credit card machine is now up and running! My new obsession at Cali Taco is the deep fried burrito. You need to knife and fork it because it's a total mess and covered in sauces, but OH GOD you will love it. I've come in consistently since they've opened and they are ALWAYS busy! Even so, the service is super nice and the food comes out fast.

Best tacos in RI. Chimichangas are great, too. I have been going to the one on Plainfied for years and was happy when the one on Manton opened, since I drive by that area frequently. Same quality-Awesome. So happy!

We ordered the chips and guac for 14.50, which comes with beans and salsa, and says says free refills (menu attached). We asked for one refill of beans and one of guac. When we got the bill, we were supposed to see charges for the beans and guac. Our server explained that the free refills were only for the chips and salsa. We asked to see a menu again and pointed out that it says free refills. Our server contacted the owner/manager who doubled down on the misleading statement and charged us for both refills (total of 10.50 additional cost). It's really a bummer because I had read a bunch of reviews on here and my takeaway is that the food is great but the management leaves something to be desired. Be upfront with your customers! It's a great restaurant with delicious food, I'm glad small businesses exist, and I wish that we had been treated with more grace and honesty. Losing $10 on your end (or even just being upfront and stating the refill policy on the menu) is well worth it for a positive customer experience. I would have loved to give this place 5 stars but took 1 off for the misleading pricing and another for the way that it was handled by the manager.

The menu is small and yet there's always plenty of yummy things to try when I go, even as a picky eater. There are multiple vegetarian and even a vegan option or two. I always have to get the guac when I come here - it's the perfect amount of creaminess without too much onion. Their red salsa is a great slightly chunky - slightly juicy texture and has a bit of a kick. The vegan burrito bowl is my go-to as a vegetarian, and the street corn side as an app is elite! It is a little spicier these days since the recipe was updated from on the cob to off the cob (I much prefer off for ease of eating and sharing!) The Coconut Cartel margarita was creamy and smooth and went down *quick* haha. Others in my party loved the spicy Margarito, although they were out of the main spicy tequila but the servers offered substitute recommendations. I came with a very large work group today, and the servers were so patient and flexible when we asked for modifications from the menu. I even was able to order the queso dip with the chorizo on the side (yummy but very thick cheese dip!), and they were very attentive of my colleague's mushroom allergy and made sure she got dedicated dishes, even when we were all sharing apps. The churro donuts seem to have changed recipe and got mixed reviews - some thought they were dry, another says she Uber Eats just those regularly Sitting outside in the summer on the patio is nice. Tasty, interesting dishes with modern urban twists on Mexican recipes. Truly the only slight downside is that sometimes parking can be tricky in this area, but you can always find free street parking, it may just take you a little bit. Even the funky and creative decor is a selling feature for me. A must-try!

But I'm someone that believes anyone can have an off day so overall this place is really great. First and foremost, get the margarita. They are the best I've ever had. Also, get the tacos. Even as an app they're so great. I got the shrimp and a veg recently. I've enjoyed all of the entrees I've ever gotten. Honorable mention is the shrimp Diablo. Super spicy and delightful. The interior is warm, cozy, and a perfect combo of lit enough so you can see but dark enough to set a mood for spilling tea or flirting with your date. Equal parts good for girls night and good for date night. The not so great: I got flautas once and they fell flauta (haha). Also, it's sometimes a one man show so service can be slow especially if you need refills so be sure to order multiple drinks at a time, or better yet a pitcher. Street parking can be a real pain but sometimes you get lucky on a side street. Definitely worth a visit if you've never been!

So we took a chance. And we were not at all disappointed! First, we were greeted warmly, in a genuine way, by the owner. They seemed genuinely glad to have us. The older gentleman was friendly and playful towards my son. The food was delicious! I had enchiladas with housemate mole. The mole was fantastic: complex and nuanced. My daughter had enchiladas verde, which was smothered in a poblano salsa that was also complex, with great green heat. My son ordered the arracherra, a peppercorn rubbed steak served with homemade guacamole and a delicious cactus salad. I was tempted by several other dishes, particularly the enchiladas mineras (beef cheeks - yum!). All in all, a warm, welcoming, delicious experience that made me want come back. And I will.

At their front patio, they had the World Cup game playing, but the back patio felt cozier so we opted for that. The inside though was a strong second since the lighting is very low, creating a cool and calm environment. Walking through the restaurant to get to our table made me realize that each table is unique, no two are decorated the same or have the same furniture. It was a hot day but the overhead mesh cover blocked out a lot of the sun. Our waitress made us feel very welcome from the start and told us about their drink and food specials. My friend ordered Guatemalan beer as well as a Spanish beer. For food, we ordered the plantain fries, octopus, calamari, and shrimp salad, and grilled lamp chops. The seafood salad came out first. According to the menu, it was going to be paired with cornbread. It looked like sourdough bread but had a far denser consistency. I was expecting the salad to have lots of shrimp to act as a filler but surprisingly, it was about 60% octopus, 25% calamari, 10% shrimp, and 5% onions. The seafood was very flavorful, tasted fresh, and cooked perfectly. The portion size was great for two. Next came the plantain fries, which I was least impressed with as it was essentially fried plantain chunks. I think it would have been better if they were cut into smaller pieces that can be easily dipped and consumed in one bite. The plantain was gently ripe, so just a little sweet and the dipping sauce was like a less sour sour cream. Lastly, the lamp chops came out and the presentation was wonderful. They were a bit skinnier and less tender than that I was expecting, but flavor wise they were good. We enjoyed the food, ambiance, and service here.
