While Dinkytown has changed a LOT, Shuang Cheng hasn't, and that's a good thing! Also, my bro ordered the chicken with orange peel. My personal favorites are the Pho Bo, Chicken Pad Thai, and cream cheese wontons. The waiters are nice and can be quite helpful when you're unclear about an order or prefer recommendations. Delivery is quick most of the time, unless it's busy, then you would have to wait for a little bit. I have tried most of the items on the menu and for first-timers looking for some great Vietnamese food, this restaurant would be a great first choice. For those who want authentic Vietnamese food, don't try common items like the sesame chicken or the sweet and sour chicken (even if they're delicious). Instead, be adventurous and go for items like the cold noodle salad with the lemongrass curry chicken or the various Pho soups. Personally, I only like my fried rice dishes with a bit of curry powder added to it, rather than asking for a 1-5 star rating; the curry gives the rice a little kick without it being too overwhelming, so the next time you're here, ask for the special fried rice with a dash of curry powder (trust me, you'll love it). There have been complaints about the online website's design and some were even unaware of its existence. Seeing as how this was a problem, I took matters into my own hands to create a website for the owners. Although it still needs time to become a popular website for this business, I hope that it will help them in the long run. No one is perfect. Each person has different taste. I've been there many times and I always pleased with my dishes. I definitely suggest this place to all of the people I know. Don't mind the bad comments, go there and check out yourself. If you love it, you can come back. If not, of course, find somewhere else you love. The service is absolutely incredible. You will not find better service at any other restaurant in your entire life, however, I do not believe in fully loading foods with MSG. So it definitely breaks my heart to give a one star review just because I feel like everything was cooked with sauce packets powder packets not like authentic individual spices. They're charging almost $20 when you could buy the sauce packets that are five cents each at the Asian grocery store stores. So the taste is a rip off here. This place has a lot of potential because at other Asian restaurants, the service always always horrible. You will be particularly surprised the service here is absolutely terrific. The dipping sauce for their shrimp and pork spring rolls tasted more of a sauce that you would get in Thailand, not Vietnam. They serve Thai food at this place and we all know Thai restaurants have the worst service you'll ever have in your entire life. Since this is a Vietnamese restaurant, it's highly unlikely that their Thai dishes are authentic. So I will give them three stars, five stars for the service one star for the food. P.S. For this being a Vietnamese restaurant, I did not see any Vietnamese customers in there although there were other Asian customers in there I would say they were Korean Filipino Hmong. Stopped in back in May to try out since I was in the area…read more Located in a business strip. Shared parking lot with surrounding businesses. Free parking. Inside, the place was nice and clean. I ordered the bo ne to try. Smelled and looked delicious. Bread and fries were good. However, the meat was over cooked snd too chewy. Hopefully that was a one off since I would like to try other menu items. Service was friendly.
