Pistachio and Cardamom, saffron and rose ice creams in a waffle cone.
    Janet S.

BEST ICE CREAM EVER!! I loved the fact that the ice cream is made from Strauss Organic cream. The flavors I tried were true to taste and the creaminess was right on point. It also wasn't overly sweet so the flavors really shined. I got a scoop of pistachio and a scoop of cardamom, saffron and rose. Both were delicious. And the lady who was serving me was super kind and patient. There is a bench at the front of the shop you can sit and people watch. I plan to go back again very soon.

We came here on a Saturday afternoon for ice cream. There was little wait and we were able to try some of the flavors! The aesthetic was cute and very much like a small local shop. All their ice cream is made in house with Strauss Organic Milk. I got 1 scoop of the Cardamom, Saffron & Rose Ice Cream. The price was very reasonable for one scoop - $6 and the quantity was enough for 2 to share. It came with a small piece of the waffle, which was delicious! I loved the cinnamon flavoring and it was a fun combination to eat with the ice cream. I really like the ice cream as well and it reminded of India sweets/kulfi ice cream! I definitely hope to be back to try other flavors as well.

To call this just an ice cream shop would be like calling Van Gogh's Starry Night just a painting. I know what you're thinking -- you're comparing a masterpiece to ice cream?! But seriously, one taste of Calistoga Creamery's creations and you'll understand why it fits. This place is a true gem. They make their flavors in-house, blending herbs, fruits, and exotic spices in ways you wouldn't expect -- and the results are incredible. These aren't your basic flavors -- they're thoughtful, balanced, and totally unique. My husband had the Meyer lemon sorbet, which tasted like pure, refreshing summer. Light, citrusy, and so clean. I had the saffron & rose, and it was delicate, floral, and just the right amount of sweet -- like eating a garden in the best possible way. Each bite felt like a little work of art. It's not just a dessert -- it's a sensory experience. If you're in Calistoga, do not miss this place. It's one of those rare spots that surprises and delights in all the right ways.

Wow this is some good ice cream. If you see a line out the door - you know you're in the right place! The dark chocolate is probably one of my favorite chocolate ice creams of all time. Everything tasted fresh and true to their name. The best part was their freshly made waffle cones - so good and still warm when you get it. If you find yourself in the northern Napa Valley, this is a must stop along the way.

The best service and the BEST waffle cone I have ever had! I loved how the cone wasn't rock hard and had notes of vanilla, nutmeg and cinnamon. The ice cream was also very delicious and perfect for a 90 degree day!

The most amazing ice cream!! Lemon cookie was simply the best flavor I have ever had, the pistachio, ah, brilliant! SO good. Oh, and the waffle cone?! Good gosh the most yummiest cone. Bravo!

Small little ice cream shop on the Main Street. No seating inside but some seating outside. Decent amount of flavors. Service was nice at the cashier. Only 10 flavors available.

Drop by here after dinner. Their icecream is the bomb, using organic straus farm products. The okay on texture is also appreciated. The shop also comes with a small outdoor seating area. When we stopped by here, there was a live DJ around and we had a fantastic time enjoying our icecream along with the live music. Folks are friendly here. Would love to come back again

A small little ice creamery on the front corner, walk up counter service and a basic interior. The counter help was not overly friendly and on her phone texting when we walked in, but did engage with us after we asked for help. No smile or welcome greeting, but a look of annoyed we were there... Customer service was lacking. A single scoop bowl of Madagascar Vanilla, it was good rich and creamy. A nice portion fairly priced. There are a few spots outside, so my friends and I grabbed a table in the sun and enjoyed the frozen treats. 3.5 Stars - okay ice cream poor customer service, would of been 5 stars had the counter person been customer friendly May or may not return since there are other options in this town... 00968

Stopped in for ice cream after dinner. The clerk was friendly and efficient. I chose the cold brew coffee and Madagascar vanilla as a double scoop. Both were creamy. My husband had a chocolate milkshake. It was made with the dark chocolate ice cream. It was the consistency of chocolate milk, not really thick but it was tasty. We sat at the outdoor tables. The house sparrows kept us company.

After spending most of the day wine tasting and venturing around the Napa Valley, I figure a sweet, creamy dessert would be the ideal treat after a hearty lunch. This takes us on a trip to the small community of Calistoga where I got to try out "Calistoga Creamery. Located directly on Lincoln Ave (Highway 29) and adjacent to Fair Way, this place has been serving up delicious ice cream dating back to 2017. Hours are also very generous as they're opened for business 7 days a week from 12:30-9:30pm. I arrived here during the afternoon of Saturday 4/6/2024 at around 3:50pm. Parking can be challenging but this area surprisingly has a ton of available street parking as well as "Cal Mart" which is a block away. Keep in mind that the this place has a very small interior with no seating. However, there is ample outdoor seating for the more comfortable days (weather permitting). All of their ice cream and frozen yogurt is organic and made fresh. Since I had eaten a fairly big lunch, I ended up going with one small scoop of their "Cookies & Cream"; priced at $5.00 (including tax). During my visit, it was absolutely packed with customers so it was tough to really look at their entire selection. And during my visit, there was only one employee that took the order, scooped your ice cream, and rung up the transaction. Kudos to her for doing a stellar job. With that said and done, "Calistoga Creamery" is an above average ice cream parlor with a nice variety to choose from. When I first entered, I noticed the aromatic scent of cinnamon as they actually use a small triangular waffle cone in that flavor to add to your ice cream cone or cup. Great location, excellent customer service, decent prices, and tasty ice cream is why I give this place an above average four star rating.

I'm very particular about my chocolate too. I pretty much break down my chocolate into two categories: 1. Regular Chocolate - Hershey's, Lindt, See's, Cadbury, etc. 2. Chocolate Chocolate - Godiva, Ethel M Chocolates, and all other "premium" chocolates that are not as well known. I have to say that I'm not a fan of fudge. I saw the sample table (at V. Sattui Winery) and I actually passed it up initially, because I saw that it was fudge. I was standing near the table waiting for my BF to pick out cold beverages, when I decided to go ahead and try a small piece since I was just standing there anyway. OMG . . . It was good! It had an absolutely delicious flavor and it was so smooth. I prodded my BF to try a piece, and he loved it too! There was no hesitation on my end. I grabbed two 8oz bars of it (Chocolate Fudge Truffle), and left for the register. My friend was somewhat surprised that I purchased two of them for $11.99 each, but my BF justified my purchasing choice by commenting, "She really loves her chocolate, so when Roselina says it's good I trust her". My friend understood why I bought it when she and her husband tried a piece. They were amazed at how good it was, because they also hate fudge. Thank you Chocolate Gods for watching over me! :)

Gary, the master Fudgemaker, was there giving out free samples. When I enquired with the server about the choclate tasting, she sent me to Gary. I told him about the yelp review and he gave me several samples to try with the wine. Napa Valley Fudge Company is a separate company but they sell their Fudge inside the V Sattui Market. Gary is friendly, personable, and quite skilled at making his desserts. I ended up bringing home a pound of his fudge both because it tasted good but also because it matches with the wines so well. It doesn't hurt that he gave out free sample to the customers there. In addition, just the fact that the guy is hardworking and makes a great product is a wonderful reason to try the fudge. So whether you go to his store or find yourself at the Winery, your swee tooth will thank you! :-)
