I looked for an email address so I could share this feedback privately, but since I couldn't find one, I'm leaving it here instead. For hygiene purposes, I recommend having attendants use a tissue, napkin, or gloves when handling waffle cones rather than touching them with bare hands. During my visit, the same employee was operating the cash register while also preparing ice cream, which meant they were handling both money and food. I believe this small change would help reinforce good food-handling practices and provide customers with an even greater experience. We like coming here when camping at nearby Bothe Napa Valley State Park, as they offer our favorite flavor cardamom, saffron, and rose year round. All their ice cream is made in house with Strauss Organic Milk. I got 1 scoop of the Cardamom, Saffron & Rose Ice Cream. The counter help was not overly friendly and on her phone texting when we walked in, but did engage with us after we asked for help. Visited on 8/19 around 4pm. We ordered pistachio ice cream and unfortunately got the very last bit in the container--it was almost all pistachios, dry, and hardly any ice cream. When we raised the issue, the assistant manager told us we "should have tried it before" and refused to replace it with a fresh scoop or let us switch flavors. She was rude and got visibly upset with us, which made the experience even more disappointing. Poor customer service and bad policy from ownership. Even though there aren't many other options in the area (the only other one nearby is Mis Raíces Coffee and Ice Cream Shop), I'd recommend going there instead. After spending most of the day wine tasting and venturing around the Napa Valley, I figure a sweet, creamy dessert would be the ideal treat after a hearty lunch. This takes us on a trip to the small community of Calistoga where I got to try out "Calistoga Creamery. Located directly on Lincoln Ave (Highway 29) and adjacent to Fair Way, this place has been serving up delicious ice cream dating back to 2017. Hours are also very generous as they're opened for business 7 days a week from 12:30-9:30pm. I arrived here during the afternoon of Saturday 4/6/2024 at around 3:50pm. Parking can be challenging but this area surprisingly has a ton of available street parking as well as "Cal Mart" which is a block away. Keep in mind that the this place has a very small interior with no seating. However, there is ample outdoor seating for the more comfortable days (weather permitting). All of their ice cream and frozen yogurt is organic and made fresh. Since I had eaten a fairly big lunch, I ended up going with one small scoop of their "Cookies & Cream"; priced at $5.00 (including tax). During my visit, it was absolutely packed with customers so it was tough to really look at their entire selection. And during my visit, there was only one employee that took the order, scooped your ice cream, and rung up the transaction. Kudos to her for doing a stellar job. With that said and done, "Calistoga Creamery" is an above average ice cream parlor with a nice variety to choose from. When I first entered, I noticed the aromatic scent of cinnamon as they actually use a small triangular waffle cone in that flavor to add to your ice cream cone or cup. Great location, excellent customer service, decent prices, and tasty ice cream is why I give this place an above average four star rating. read more

They also have an over-the-top delicious vegan chocolate chip flavor which is my go-to although yesterday I decided to add an extra scoop of the match flavor which was to die for. I also very much appreciate the high-quality ingredients because it allows my tummy to actually process/digest the dairy flavors with minimal to no issues - my tummy flags me right away when I am eating not as high quality dairy.
