    Brownie?
    Allison F.

Looked on Yelp for a bakery that was open at night for a little snack. This place was open and looked interesting. The awning said espresso, Italian pastries and something else I can't remember. I was very ready for something fabulous. Guess what? Nope Not fabulous or even close to fabulous. First off, it's a teeny tiny place, claustrophobic even. There is an icecream freezer on wheels that the guy has to move so you can walk by to look at the pastries. Wait did I say pastries? No, I didn't mean that. There were a couple of sad cannoli and a weird thing that said brownie something or other. There were strawberry and apricot bars. The guy behind the counter was not friendly at all. I'm thinking we should have gotten an ice cream and called it a day. But of course I decided to be adventurous and ordered an apricot bar and a brownie thing. Bad decision but you already guessed that! So to sum it up, if you are walking around town and want a little snack, get ice cream from here or keep walking to the cool little supermarket and get yourselves some caramel bacon popcorn!

When I walked in, there was no one at the counter and I waited over 5 minutes before some one came to help me. The (worker) man wasn't friendly, and the coffee was not good to me, I ordered a soy vanilla latte and it tasted horrible. I go to Calistoga Roastery 1 block down the street, it has a much bigger selection, the (workers) people there are so sweet, and their coffee is my FAVORITE!

Randomly parked in a free spot in front of San Marco cafe and smelled the coffee! We automatically had to go in! I got a mocha and an apricot bar! It was soooooo delicious! My friend got a lemon bar and that was amazing also! It was a little expensive. It was like $3? Well i mean it was a good size so I can't complain. There was a man and woman working there who were not the friendliest but they were pleasant.

It's in kind of a non descript shopping center and might be the only thing open that early in the morning. When we got there, the owner was still getting things ready to go for the day, but was so kind. There were a lot of different options for such a quaint little place but we ordered coffees and smoothie bowls. Since it was just a one man show it took a few extra minutes, but there's a lot of seating outside and it was a nice morning. As he finished all the coffee and food he brought it out to us which was so generous! My coffee was freshly made and the green machine smoothie bowl was amazing. The indoor area is really small, but there a few stools that you could sit at if you wanted to be inside.

But from the moment we arrived, the welcome and the service from our waiter were 10/10. From the very first bite, we completely fell in love with the flavor and quality of the food. The churros and banana bread were the best we've ever had, and the drinks were perfectly balanced. Without a doubt, the next time we visit Calistoga, this will be our first mandatory stop.

Today, my husband and I came to eat dinner at 5:15. To start, we were greeted with scowls, not given menus, and sat at a dirty table for five minutes, until we finally got up and moved seats. We had been enjoying the local hot springs, and I don't think our leisure attire and wet hair were appealing to the well-aged "hostess." I use that word generously. She repeatedly looked me up and down. The staff was transitioning to dinner, which was fine. However, they clearly had no interest in helping us. We received menus after 10 minutes and were then ignored again. This is not the first time I've had bad service here, and I will never come back. I had a lousy experience about 7 weee ago and was trying to look beyond...We ended up having a lovely $300 dinner at the Calistoga Inn. As Indian Springs and its businesses grow, they clearly have lost the importance of customer service. It used to be a really great spot.

Great ambience off Silverado trail. Cane here with my best friend to do a tasting. Charlie was our host and she was amazing. Super knowledgeable and a terrific host. For example, while others had an olive oil gelato, I had an olive oil sorbet with a blood orange gummy. It was really interesting. In no way did I feel deprived or like I was missing out. In fact, mine might have been better than what the others had. That was the last course though. Before that, we did olive oil tastings with bread and popcorn and balsamic vinegar tastings with cherry tomatoes. They used to make all the food in house but now partner with some local places. Amberly also did a wonderful job walking us through details around the tastings and it was very informative. The whole thing takes place indoors and the interior is cute with plenty of olive oil lining the walls. I would absolutely go back to do it again in the future and recommend it to anyone considering it!

One woman made sure everyone knew she was a member and kept mentioning how she had already seen the castle too many times and was bored of it, saying she only came to bring her family for a birthday. It kind of disrupted the experience for the rest of us. When we got to the torture chamber she also started making some really inappropriate remarks, which was a bit uncomfortable for the group.
