    HAM & CHEESE SANDWICH
    Kalani S.

Stopped by D'Cuban Café for a quick bite and was pleasantly surprised. The place is welcoming and makes you want to stay a little longer than planned. I ordered the ham and Swiss sandwich, which came out warm and fresh. The service was genuinely friendly, and my food didn't take over 15 minutes, perfect for a quick lunch. Overall, a good spot with nice, hot food!

This is a gem in the Marietta Market! The Cuban is just amazing. So many flavors!! It's hard for me not to get it every time I'm at the Marietta Market. We also Vieja Ropa which was so tasty and flavorful. Service was quick on a Saturday around noon. We sat at the bar and had a beer while we waited. Marietta Market can be loud but all in all it's a great place to eat! I highly recommend D'Cuban.

This Cuban restaurant located near Marietta Square brings a taste of Havana to the area. While they no longer have congris the separation of the rice and beans. The sweet plantain was absolute perfection! The meat, was perfectly seasoned, I could see an older Cuban lady a Tia dancing as she made the sauces. I am EXTREMELY biased but my goodness the food is good and pretty authentic.

There were a lot of options to choose from but I chose the authentic Cuban sandwich, and it did not disappoint! The service was also really great.

Food: 5 Customer Service: 5 Affordability: 5 Location/ Parking: 5 (tip below) Cleanliness: 5 D' Cuban is located inside Marietta Mkt Square foodie hall, I had to call to make sure. We were looking for good Cuban food in the area. First off, parking is kinda crazy as expected. You will have to pay after the firts 2hrs if you use the business parking lot. Another 2hrs free across the way, just read the signs. Be prepared for lots of people in the Market, but service was fast and professional. They have a fairly small simple menu, which I liked. We ordered 3 empanadas (1 beef and 2 chicken) the beef and potato tastes the best, chicken was dry. Our meals consisted of shredded pork and chicken. The meals included rice, black beans, and fried plantains. They have a dew sauces to choose from as well. Them beef empanadas piping hot and packed with flava!! Service was fairly quick on a Saturday night. The price is really reasonable for the portion size. Everything covered my desires for Cuban food! The food was absolutely good. Yasss, this will be my spot when Im traveling thru this area. I highly recommend you try them!

Beef empanadas and ice cafe con leche - need I say more?! We visited during a busy Saturday and it was also raining so the food hall was extra packed. The wait wasn't too bad at D'Cuban. We tried out the Turkey Cuban sandwich with white rice and black beans, 1 beef and 1 cheese empanada and the iced cafe con leche. Everything was good! But those beef empanadas - whoa - I will be back for those! I really enjoyed the iced cafe con leche but wished it was a bit sweeter so we asked for more sugar and they gave us brown sugar. It definitely helped! I also want to go back and try out their tostones and one of their bigger dishes.

Another after practice meal! D'Cuban is located inside Marietta Food Hall. It's easy to spot as you enter on the right hand side by the bbq spot and bubble tea. Marietta Food Hall has lots of free parking and paid lots. I been here a few times. Love the variety of meal choices going here. Rarely do I have trouble parking or finding something to eat. I decided to use the Marietta Food Hall app to find a place for food for after practice. We had to stay to work tournament and wanted something good to eat. Sometimes you want quick but not fast food. D'Cuban was perfect choice. I got chicken and pork so we both could have something. I know we would be okay with either option. Food was ready when I arrived. I showed up a little early. Food was on warmer to stay hot. Everything we needed was in the bag. My son took chicken since he tried pork before. Let me say both bowls had some weight to them. You get a good portion size of food for price. Very affordable prices! I took the pork since that was left. I don't recall names of the sauces. The red was hot. I know that well spicy. The green was like a Verde maybe. It was pretty good. I added both to my food. Other basketball players at the school thought Food looked good so be on the look out for more patrons. Definitely don't mind recommending a good place for them to grab food after practice!

This place is inside Marietta Square Market, and it is a small order and pick up spot. After you place your order you get a buzzer and can sit anywhere in the market since there is no seating area in front of them. The girl at the register was nice and after about 10 minutes our buzzer went off to go pick up the food. The food was good not the best but a good lunch spot. I added the avocado for an extra charge but it wasn't even fresh it was still hard which was disappointing but the rest of the food was good and filling.

I love this place! It's my Go-To when I'm at the food hall. They are consistent and fast. I usually order fresh mango juice and the 3 empanadas combo with rice and beans. The size of the empanadas are huge and they give you a healthy amount of rice and beans. The flavor of the empanadas are AMAZING!

My friends (who don't drink alcohol much) had a couple sips and were gone we had to walk around the square after to sober up! I got the ropa vieja and thought it was delicious! The beef was super flavorful and tender. I was a bit disappointed that they only gave two tiny plantain slices cause it was good and I wanted more. The rice and beans were pretty average, the beans were extremely plain, definitely could've been better. I would definitely come back to try a Cubano though since that's what they're known for and my friend who got one almost melted when she took a bite cause it was so delicious (I took a bite too and it really was very good!). As a first generation Cuban-American born and raised in Miami and married to a Cuban man, I am happy to report that Cuban Diner is the real deal. This is authentic Cuban food that is as good as the Cuban food easily found all over Miami. We started with croquetas and mariquitas. I ordered the bistec empanizado, hubby ordered the vaca frita, my son ordered the ropa vieja, my MIL orders the palomilla, and my FIL ordered a papa rellena and tamal along with a natural guava juice. We all shared bites of our plates with each other and everyone agreed that everything was absolutely delicious. My favorite was the vaca frita, so I stole a good bit from hubby and I also loved my FIL's guava juice. Service was good, but we got there shortly after opening so we had the place to ourselves. We noticed as it got busier, service definitely slowed considerably, but there was only one server for the whole place and one more handling to go orders. The one server did a fantastic job despite being the only one for multiple tables, but I did notice one couple left in frustration when they were not attended in a timely manner. I loved that they offer a total of 3 sides with the entrees, so you don't have to compromise on sides. I really enjoyed our meal and will be back to try more things on their menu soon. I definitely recommend Cuban Diner, but urge you to pack your patience if you go when there is a crowd. The good news is that the food will be well worth the wait!

I was scared that they also could have closed, so I tried to call, but there was a strange message saying no one is taking calls...not a voicemail, it was as if there was no service. The sandwich I wanted wasn't available because she didn't have the bread needed, so I tried "The Tampa" I don't like Swiss cheese, but I think that's the only cheese they have. It was stuffed with roast pork, but I guess I'm not a fan of the pork. The Cuban bread is amazing! My son got "Pollo Especial" and she told him it was the last one of the day (it was about 1:45 and they close at 10). He said it was excellent. He also got a virgin Pina colada and said it was very good. Maybe it too authentic for me? Overall, it's a cute place, not worth coming back for me, but my son really enjoyed it.

The Cuban sandwiches are the true stars, notably since the very limited menu has pretty much *that* as your selection. My favorite. Make one thing and make it good. To complement these delicious sandwiches, Cubanos ATL serves aromatic Cuban coffee. It's the perfect beverage to accompany your meal or enjoy on its own. We decided to stop by for lunch and we were the only customers there. The restaurant seems to have taken on some Caribbean flair, with a photo area adorned with fake flowers, a bar that was barely stocked, a DJ area without a real dance floor and ViP area that if you have a mobile disability you probably won't be able to get to. The manager on duty was Cassandra and she was very nice and the music playing was very tropical. The ambiance was nice, then we were given the menus. The word Havana implies that it would have traditional Cuban foods, not sure if they consulted a Cuban or even competent Caribbean chef. Perhaps the drinks are good but I will the food left much to be desired. My husband ordered the nachos and the chips were store bought and extremely salty, combine with the canned cheese and the unseasoned meat it was not very good at all. In fact my husband took three bites and he couldn't eat anymore. It was beyond salty and inedible. My daughter ordered the empanadas. On the menu pictured it says empanadas, hence leading one to believe that it would be more than one. However, the empanadas meant one and somehow or another, you the customer are left to figure this out when one empanada arrives on a bed of Lettuce. She also ordered the steak tostones cups which were overpowered with the guacamole. My daughter loves guacamole but the ratio guacamole to steak was too much and the two half strips of steak were not enough to balance out the flavor. I had the hibachi, the steak arrived so badly burnt that it curled up and the charred pieces of steak were inedible. The vegetables surrounding the little bowl of burnt rice were ok so I happily ate that. My husband who never complains asked our very sweet waitress if she could get the manager. After he went through the issues with the food, she was extremely open to the issues and explained they are in the process of tweaking some things. I expressed I would happily pay for the veggies that I ate and the empanada that my daughter ate and the tostones as she ate two of the three sharing the second. The manager then took our full plates away. We were a little taken aback to get the bill of 50% off when we hadn't taken three full bites of the inedible food. I wish this business success however, maybe the chef is new as well. We will not be returning to eat, perhaps the drinks are good because the ambiance seems nice and the music was amazing.

Interior / Exterior They're located in Powder Springs on that street I call 'restaurant row' right before you get to downtown Powder Springs proper. They're in the space formerly occupied by Los Portales Mexican Restaurant, and more recently SAC Burger. The interior space open and clean, but very dark (appropriate for a lounge - lol). The parking lot is big, but it's a bit tight. Customer Service The server / bartender was SOOO friendly. I love that she welcomed me the moment I crossed the threshold and thanked me for coming in. She hit me with a big, beautiful smile during her welcome and she was pleasant and upbeat during our entire interaction. Note to all bar and lounge owners: Beautiful bartenders area easy to find. But beautiful bartenders who are pleasant and engaging (versus the ones who act irritated and snarky with guests) should be cherished. They can make or break your business. Lol. I also loved that she knew the menu and was able to answer all my questions and provide recommendations. I checked my receipt later and it says her name was Michaela. Price Value I thought the prices were fair. Everything is so expensive nowadays, but these guys had some burger combos for $12 and under. Food I decided to play it safe and ordered the chicken sandwich. They didn't have a grilled chicken option, so I went with the fried, non-spicy filet. It comes with fries. I deliberately didn't take a photo because they do that 'new' thing where they put the lettuce and tomato BELOW the protein, which traps the heat, so by the time I got home with my food, my lettuce and tomato looked pretty sad. Note to all kitchens - when you put hot meat on top of any produce, it pretty much cooks the produce. Produce is best just placed off to the side. And if it's a sandwich with hot melted cheese, put the top bun and the produce to the side. I did not want to do them a disservice by posting a photo like that (limp, droopy wilted lettuce and mushy hot tomatoes). The chicken filet on my sandwich was tasty. It was seasoned well, pounded thin and hand-breaded. I tried a few of my fries before I left and they were very greasy, as though they were dropped before the oil reached the correct temperature. The fries are not plain, they're slightly battered, so I wasn't to heart-broken because I don't really dig battered fries anyway. They have a pretty diverse menu. The website doesn't show the full menu. I didn't have my phone with me, so I wasn't able to snap a photo of the menu. Also - they don't have take-away menus. They use eco-friendly, sani-friendly QRC's instead. The server explained that it's a Cuban American fusion vibe. They have sandwiches, burgers (including a Salmon burger and the Impossible burger), but they also have wings, tostones, panins, nachos, tacos, hibachi bowls and pasta. They even have soup! I checked out their website and I will DEFINITELY go back to try the hibachi bowl and a margarita. I like the fact that they have options like garden burgers and sides like steamed broccoli. Other Right now, they're only open Thu - Sun from 11am to midnight. Kitchen closes at 11pm. And they're open until 2am on Fri and Sat. Kitchen closes at 1am. They are a no smoking facility. Yay. And they will have karaoke in upcoming months. Definitely think everyone should check them out.

When we arrived, the GPS led us to what appeared to be a parking lot. Off to the side was a small standalone shack where you walk up to a window to place your order. The menu is pretty limited, with only about five different Cuban-style sandwiches to choose from. After ordering, we waited about 15 minutes standing in the parking lot before our name was called and our Cuban sandwiches were ready. There are a few tables set up outside, but they're located right in the parking lot, so you're literally dining next to parked cars. While the sandwiches were good and clearly made fresh, they weren't memorable enough to overcome the lack of ambiance and overall dining experience. This is a decent spot for a quick bite, but some improvements for the customer area would go a long way toward making it a destination worth seeking out.
