This is a pretty small place and it gets packed! We came on a Friday night and had to wait for seating for a party of 4. They don't have a waitlist though so you just kinda gotta wait and it's first come first serve. We sat at the bar and just snatched a table when we saw someone leave. If you come here you should DEFINITELY get a mojito! They're HUGE and delicious and STRONG. My friends (who don't drink alcohol much) had a couple sips and were gone we had to walk around the square after to sober up! I got the ropa vieja and thought it was delicious! The beef was super flavorful and tender. I was a bit disappointed that they only gave two tiny plantain slices cause it was good and I wanted more. The rice and beans were pretty average, the beans were extremely plain, definitely could've been better. I would definitely come back to try a Cubano though since that's what they're known for and my friend who got one almost melted when she took a bite cause it was so delicious (I took a bite too and it really was very good!). It was OK, nothing spectacular. I ordered the Pollo cuban sandwich and it was fine but nothing special. I would've preferred that it had more veggies come with it. The rice was OK as well. I think I would not come back based on the extremely high prices. My jaw almost dropped when I saw that tacos were almost $20 and many of the dishes were the exact same. I think that they are probably charging that much based on location of it being near Marietta Square, but I would not be back based on the prices and the food wasn't anything amazing. Quality in every bite. I had the Authentic Cuban which was absolutely delicious with yellow rice and black beans. My husband has Celiac syndrome and they can make most items entirely without gluten with few exceptions (obviously no empanadas). He had the Palomilla Steak with yellow rice, beans and plantains. This is a perfect little dive, tucked back in Marietta. I was craving Cuban food and thought I'd give this place a try. Oddly, I couldn't find a menu when I got in there. Since I knew I already wanted the lunch special (thanks Yelpers!), I didn't ask to see if they had paper ones. I was late in the afternoon so it wasn't busy at all. I just made the lunch special cut off at 2:59. Tuesday special was generous portion of juicy and flavorful, pulled pork, black beans, plantains and rice. At first, I was a little skeptical for a lunch special to be $11 especially because yelp said it was $8.50. I understand costs have gone up though, and it was still very delicious. The gentleman at the counter was very friendly and helpful. It appears to be a family run place. The mom caught me on my way out and thanked me for coming. It was a nice touch. I've been here a handful of times and it is always fantastic. The service and the food is phenomenal. I love their pork whether it's in the Media Noche sandwich or their Mojo Pork tacos. I ordered through Uber eats, the bowl of chicken soup, side of black beans, plantains, and the Ajiaco/Sancocho. I only ate some of the chicken soup and it was life. This chicken soup made me feel like my mom was here and cooked it fresh for me exactly the way I like it. Minimum rice, full of carrots, a rich savory broth, and chunks of white meat. It is so flavorful and not at all dry. We also had the Sunday special which was the Tacos de Puerco (Pork). So very good. You have to get with the homemade corn tortillas. They are so fresh and the taste of corn is real! Both dishes come with rice and black beans. So I drove about 30 minutes to get to the place with my mouth watering all the way. I'm from NY and I miss my Latin (Cuban or Puerto Rican) food. Well this place DID NOT DISAPPOINT me in the food. They don't give alot of white rice so make sure to order extra. We ordered picadillo, (came large container) , beef empanadas, black beans (came in a large container), and tostones and for dessert the flan (it was so delicious we needed to buy 2 vs shared it).
